There is virtually no reason for the police to do stops with unmarked vehicles...  Maury County Sheriff should make an announcement tomorrow that his deputies will never pull somebody over for a traffic violation in an unmarked car.  Any attempt to pull a vehicle over without a marked unit in support should be assumed to be an impersonator.   There just isn't enough reason to have 'under cover' officers in plain clothes performing traffic enforcement in any TN county to offset the risk.

  I was flagging the ammo before, but now I like to have fun with it.  I now try to get them to meet by showing a lot of interest and, in some cases, offering a little more if they drive to meet me.   The guy that was selling the .22 ammo in Knoxville, i.e. 1200 rounds of Winchester for $200, told me he would even throw in another 100 round box for $200.  I now have his Name, Phone Number and email address.  I'm not doing anything with this information besides having my own file of a$$holes.   I had one guy drive up from Cleveland, TN and meet me at Gander Mountain parking lot in Turkey Creek.  The only reason I know it was him was I had his car description, so I would recognize him.  Normally I just don't show up, but that day I decided to go out for lunch.  I went to GM and saw him and his car in the parking lot, waiting.  I just went in GM and looked around.  He called me after a few minutes and asks where I was, so I told him I found a better deal and that I didn't need the ammo anymore.  Needless to say, he was a tad upset.  I received a few strongly worded emails, but that is why I use a throwaway email account to mess with these guys.   Maybe I need to add myself to my file of a$$holes.

The most important thing to know is, if you're talking to a recruiter, you're getting lied to. I have never met a single person that wasn't lied to by their recruiter. They will give the best case scenario and that is it. The truth is, unless you're in special ops, most of the time the military blows. You may make lifelong friends, experience comradery  you will never experience anywhere else, travel to exotic lands where you'll meet interesting people, and then kill them, but a lot of time is spent cleaning clean gear, checking oil in vehicles you checked yesterday (and the day before, and the day before, and the day before, etc. etc. etc.), and just general B.S. to keep you busy, or at least maintain that appearance to the VERY casual observer.    The thing one needs to realize before joining is that once you sign on the dotted line, your ass belongs to Uncle Sam. And he will do with you what he pleases and have no care for your opinion on the matter. And if you screw up, your ass is grass and they are the lawn mower. It can be a very thankless job much of the time, even if it is rewarding to know you're doing some good.   I don't mean to be a Debbie Downer, but I want to keep expectations realistic. I had a blast sometimes in the Army, but there were also times when I wanted to sit atop a water tower with a high powered rifle laughing hysterically while I took everyone in my command structure. The only in-between emotion that I recall was sheer boredom. 

I can honestly say this is one of the top 3 worst episodes in show's history. I kept track, the amount of commercial time was almost equal to show time. Commercial breaks were 4 minutes long with 6 minutes of actual show before the next round.

So long as they add another amendment requiring a police officer to be on duty at every playground. If they strip law abiding citizens of the right to defend themselves and their own then it should be their responsibility. If they aren't willing to fill in the gap then they have no business creating one in the first place.

I'll try to keep this short.   I used to own a small newspaper, put out in open racks. How many newspapers do you put in each rack? For each week, you don't want to have a stack left when the next week starts, and yet, you don't want NO newspapers left, because then you never know how many folks wanted one and they were gone. The right answer is, enough so that each week, there is ONE newspaper left.     Therefore, the right amount of ammunition is, after the crisis, to have ONE bullet left.   Of course, you don't know when the crisis will come, you don't know how long the crisis will last, you don't know if the crisis will end and then another one will immediately begin, so stock up. Imagine what the crisis might be, imagine how much ammunition you will need for it, then double it, or triple it, and add ONE.

I currently have an SV650 but it may be time to upgrade this year. In the running are the Bonneville, the street triple and the Ducati monster. I think it's time for another road-trip also. May do the full Natchez Trace. Been wanting to for a while.

  I don't find it all that surprising coming from Justice Scalia since I think he is a Patriot that loves this country. Has the utmost respect for the Constitution and is trying to get the American people to wake up before it is to late and look at just what is going on all around them and even though many see it, they are of the opinion that it can't happen here or would never happen here and far to may people believe it when the Government says the the camps are being built to house what they say are and major influx of Illegal Immigrants. What is an influx since we already have 11 million + here now and none of them are in any of the already existing camps but instead receiving welfare and support from the Government with our taxpayer dollars. Like I said, Scalia is just telling America to wake up and smell the coffee.................jmho

Make sure your daughter always has a cell phone and as the others have said slow to a safe speed, turn on your hazards, call 911, try to remain calm and talk to the dispatcher. Officers (marked or unmarked) making stops on unpopulated or unlit roads where you can’t obviously tell who they are, are not going to have a problem with you driving to a well-lit or populated area. Two victims can ID this driver and the car. If they are from around here it won’t be long before they are in jail; especially with a car like that.

I have a rebellious nature. I'll stockpile it just because some don't want me to have it. Then, there's the possibility that some of those will find out that I have it, and shit themselves to death. :)   When it comes to .223/5.56, I have a number of ammo guzzlers in that caliber. When several of them go out at once, they may chew through 800-1000 rounds in a single outing.

You guys have pushed the AR market too high for my budget.  Besides, I don't think I'll have to hold off a squad if the SHTF.  The Hi-Point .40 carbine is my go-to rifle for close in work on looters and meth heads.
