  2. It depends. Most people think the law is black and white. In reality it's shades of gray and green.

  3. Up for sale is a rifle I never shoot. It is a Browning 71 in 348 Winchester. Of course this is Brownings version of the Winchester 71. These were only made for 2 years, ‘86-‘87. Factory ammo is very expensive but luckily I have a bunch of ammo to go with the rifle. I think I still have the box for the rifle but I am not positive. I have 120 rounds of factory ammo. 40 rounds are new manufacture and 60 rounds are vintage manufacture. Most vintage ammo sells for $140 per box or higher. I also have 220 rounds of reloads. I am selling the reloads as components. So if you reload it gives you a lot of brass and bullets to use. $2500 for everything.

  4. I have a 1965 Colt .357 python revolver with the 6" barrel in blue steel for sale. To my knowledge, this gun has never been fired. The only obvious alterations from original is where my grandad stamped his name on the butt of the grips which are aftermarket smooth grips. Since the same year make and model of this pistol is selling on gunbroker.com for around $3,500, I'm asking $2,750. I'm in Chattanooga, TN.

  5. Here is another rifle that I never shoot. A Marlin 1894 Cowboy in 45 Colt with the octagon barrel. I do not have the box. I am the second owner. It has been shot some but not by me. Appears to have been used very little. $1500

  6. Also remember, for those of us living in TN, SBRs and SBSs are no longer illegal according to the state. Unless you live in one of the liberal cities you don’t have any real concern about local, or state law enforcement enforcing the federal aspect….unless you are doing something else wrong. Similar to CA and CO in regards to drugs, and several states in regards to illegal immigration.

  7. "Free" SBR registration means they don't care about the money and they don't want them to be illegal, so they must just want us to register them so they know who owns all the guns. That scares me way worse than the penalty for not registering.

  8. I sold my 2017 F150 King Ranch Crew Cab and no longer need the safe I installed in the back under the seat. Super heavy duty full length safe will hold several long guns, multiple handguns, or other valuables. Quick access combo lock. Securely bolts to the frame via existing truck bolts. Easy 10" install. Like new. Few external scratches from my garage floor. It's about 75lbs and heavy steel. Pickup in Brentwood or Smithville area. Here is a link to the manufacturer for specifics. https://www.lockerdown.com/i-50-model-ld3025-2009-2022-f150-and-2017-2022-super-duty-f250-f350-f450-crew-cab-under-seat-long-gun-safe.html?ref=category:12 4

  23. First it should be noted that as a state, we are governed by our Constitution. Article 1 Section 1 of our Declaration of Rights: That all power is inherent in the people, and all free governments are founded on their authority, and instituted for their peace, safety, and happiness; for the advancement of those ends they have at all times, an unalienable and indefeasible right to alter, reform, or abolish the government in such manner as they may think proper. Section 2: That government being instituted for the common benefit, the doctrine of nonresistance against arbitrary power and oppression is absurd, slavish, and destructive of the good and happiness of mankind. ARTICLE II. Distribution of Powers. Section 1. The powers of the government shall be divided into three distinct departments: legislative, executive, and judicial. Section 2. No person or persons belonging to one of these departments shall exercise any of the powers properly belonging to either of the others, except in the cases herein directed or permitted. Section 3. The legislative authority of this state shall be vested in a General Assembly, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives, both dependent on the people. ARTICLE III. Executive Department. Section 1. The supreme executive power of this state shall be vested in a governor Section 10. He shall take care that the laws be faithfully executed. Section 11. He shall, from time to time, give to the General Assembly information of the state of the government, and recommend for their consideration such measures as he shall judge expedient. The General Assembly has sole authority to decide which measure shall pass from the General Assembly, after debate and consideration and a vote in both chambers. Article 3 Section11 enables the governor to make suggestions to the GA about issues that office considers "expedient". Those issues, called "Administration bills" are carried by the Leader of both houses, currently that is William Lamberth in the House and Jack Johnson in the Senate and as such that provision of the Constitution is adhered to. (a side note, the so called Constitutional Carry bill of 2020 was an Administration bill) What does not appear in the Constitution or in our TCA Code, is any provision allowing the Departments under the control of the governor to assume a position of power over the legislative branch. For decades I have watched as the Department of Safety and the TBI have exerted pressure as envoys of the governor to deny good, restorative bills passage in our General Assembly. Old hands will remember Colonel Trott, the head of THP testifying against handgun carry permits in committee. Currently the Department of Safety's "Legislative Director" Elizabeth Stroeker brings her "philosophical opposition" to any bill that loosens the strangle hold of government on our 2nd and 14th Amendment rights. One only needs to watch any of the Civil Justice and Criminal Justice committee hearing from last year dealing with 2nd Amendment issues to see the validity of my point. I contend that going forward, any testimony by these Departments that does anything other than answer questions as to the cost of difficulty of administering any law passed, if that testimony serves to defeat the issue is in fact an act of "Official Oppression" as defined in TCA 39-16-403: TCA Part 4 - Misconduct Involving Public Officials and Employees 39-16-403 - Official oppression. 39-16-403. Official oppression. (a) A public servant acting under color of office or employment commits an offense who: (1) Intentionally subjects another to mistreatment or to arrest, detention, stop, frisk, halt, search, seizure, dispossession, assessment or lien when the public servant knows the conduct is unlawful; or (2) Intentionally denies or impedes another in the exercise or enjoyment of any right, privilege, power or immunity, when the public servant knows the conduct is unlawful. (b) For purposes of this section, a public servant acts under color of office or employment if the public servant acts, or purports to act, in an official capacity or takes advantage of the actual or purported capacity. (c) An offense under this section is a Class E felony. (d) Charges for official oppression may be brought only by indictment, presentment or criminal information; provided, that nothing in this section shall deny a person from pursuing other criminal charges by affidavit of complaint. [Acts 1989, ch. 591, § 1; 1990, ch. 980, § 11.] These Departments are peopled with attorneys, paid by the tax payer (although the tax payer has no input in their hiring or direction of duties). They should be cognizant of the edits and ruling of SCOTUS, it is why they are paid. In 2010 the Supreme Court of the United States incorporated the 2nd Amendment against the States through the due process clause of the 14th Amendment, making the 2nd a Civil Right. The Governor is surrounded by employees that we fund and he directs that should know the facts regarding our right to arms. SCOTUS says we have an unfettered right to carry on our person, open or concealed, in public, firearms in case of confrontation and yet from 1801 to date is has been and continues to be a crime for a non-criminal Tennessee citizen to do so. (TCA 39-17-1307 (a) (1), it is an offense to bear a firearm with the intent to go armed). I for one am tired of paying Lobbyist to testify against and deny my 2nd and 14th Amendment rights. The Department of Safety and the TBI as arms of the governor's office should simply faithfully execute the laws of the state, not try to make them.

  24. I know we have some woodworkers on here. More items from the plan to move list. 1) Powermatic PM1300TX Dust Collector - $800. Has remote on/off with timer up to 99 minutes. I put a better MERV15 canister on top (.3-1 micron). It has the cyclone to better separate the large and small dust. It's easier to just use a ratchet strap than the hold downs they use so that it why it is on there. I have a lot of connectors, hoses, etc that I will include with it. Probably $200 in extra's on top of the cost of the collector. 2) Delta 13" Planer and Mobile Base - $350. Includes a new set of knives.

  25. This is a TT Gunleather Snap Removable Pancake Holster. It is for a Glock 19/23 and has 1.5" loops. The condition is lightly used, I stopped carrying my Glock shortly after I bought it. The current price is $130 for the basic holster plus $50 for the Sharkskin trim with a 5 week wait. I'm in the Nashville area and am willing to drive a short distance or ship. $65 plus shipping.

  26. Please don't laugh at me, but last time I bought 9x18 MAK was from Outpost Armory outside Murfreesboro, TN and they had JUST gone up from $6.99/box to $7.99/box and I was all butthurt that I paid almost 16¢/rd. I went home and started trimming Luger brass to reload my own. I'm such a cheapskate, LOL.

  28. I've known I had to have one of these from the first moment I heard of them. Been looking hard for over year and nobody has had any one in my area. This morning I called all the LGSs and still no luck. A couple of days ago Chucktshoes that he had seen one at Cypress Creek Outdoors in Dyersburg. So just on a whim I called to see if it was still there. It WAS! With nothing better to do on a Saturday afternoon, I jumped in my truck and headed North. I'm now the proud owner of a brand spankin' new Springfield Armory SA-35! BTW: price was MSRP at $699. Not being a fan of heavily checkered grips, I put a nice set of smooth Houge Pau Ferros on it. Looks great! I hope to get it to the range next week. Range report to follow. And here's an updated family portrait. Thanks Chuck! BTW: that's a very nice store. Everything an outdoorsman might need. Very friendly people too. Had a nice chat with the saleslady while I was there. If you're in the area, check it out.

Use the Buyer/Seller Feedback feature to research who you are dealing with. Please come back and leave feedback for each other after the transaction is complete. Your experience will help others. They all have terms of service FORBIDDING the use of their services to buy/sell guns. DON'T DO IT. Be very wary of anyone who insists on brokering a deal in private or outside of TGO. 31. If you guys want a great, bullet proof clear coat option check out SprayMax 2K clear coat. I've used the glossy on a motorcycle and a number of other things. I use the matte on guns and it holds up extremely well. It's a true auto clear coat with the hardener. It's the best you're going to find anywhere. It's pricey and the can will harden up 24hrs after you puncture the hardener and shake the can so I usually wait until I have a few things to paint

  40. I know y'all are getting tired of me harping on this. But the new FN is NOT a Hi-Power. It looks something like the original and has the name. But its a totally different gun. Good gun from what I hear, but it ain't a Hi-Power. I really think the SA-35 is the best deal out there right now. It is a direct Hi-Power clone and it comes from the factory with the most desired upgrades at a very reasonable price. However, I do want to check out the Girsan versions. I'm hearing good things about them too.
