I totally agree. We wanted to kick some behind when the lazy public school teacher and principal advised putting my son on medication. He was bored, so he was disruptive. After getting my son enrolled in academic settings with more challenging curriculums, my son thrived and the disruptive behavior stopped.7 points

I did. I had thought this was more of a retaliation thing against the school for her perceived treatment, but learned that she was just a cold hearted bitch that had swallowed the current socialist messaging hook line and sinker.7 points

I was one of those Ritalin kids from the early 80s. Caused a lot of issues later on in my life. If any school administrator suggests getting your kid put on ADHD meds, punch them right in the mouth. (Not joking in the slightest. They’ve earned it.) Then get your kid/grandkid out of that school.6 points

When I’m out in public looking over my shoulder. I’d like to have as good an idea as possible exactly what I’m looking for. Just like having fire extinguishers and a spare tire in the car, I like to be prepared as possible.5 points

I have a few extra/duplicate Rugers in the safe that I'd like to turn into something I want more. Sale would be okay if nothing is trady. I'm not even sure how popular these Rugers are here, so I've just listed approximate trade values. I'm hoping to trade one or more for similar total value or trade up or down (with cash). Feel free to make offers via PM. I'm into everything, unfortunately, but at this point my collection doesn't need any economy guns, nor super sweet Glocks with $2500 in upgrades. I have several Ruger revolvers, but mostly collect S&W with some Colt sprinkled in. Northern Chattanooga area (Harrison) EDIT: I'll be in the Monteagle area this coming weekend for a trade (Nov 18/19) Police Service Six .38, gloss blued, light muzzle wear and cylinder trace. $550 Edit: $500 Security Six .357, parkerized matte finish, excellent condition. $600 *pending GP100 .357 w/full shroud, select grips, excellent condition. $900 *pending4 points

The way we do school in the US is actively hostile to boys. The solution has been to attempt to paper over it with psychoactive drugs. It doesn’t work for the kids and it doesn’t work for society as a whole. This case has other factors involved, but I think the primary issue of giving folks drugs instead of getting them real help holds.4 points

There’s a vast difference between diagnosing and treating and adult and a child. This is something the medical establishment seems to have forgotten and big pharma never cared about at all. I’ve got a lot of first hand experience and knowledge gained from looking into why certain things may have gone they way they have in my life. I am 100% comfortable standing by my prior statement.4 points

Mediations only work if there is a pre diagnosis natural imbalance. Introducing chemical altering/adjusting medication cause the natural process to stop producing its own chemical processes. Thus the reason giving these drugs during early development (ex ridilun, etc.) creates such large manic/depressive shifts later in life. It's been now proven that less than 10% of kids put on behavioral medications actually had/have natural chemical imbalance. Point being, as far as medication goes, we are creating chemical/prescription dependent people. Mix that with existing mental disorders (not chemical imbalance induced) that have no chance. What I gleaned from the manifesto excerpts, is that a girl with issues found enablers that encouraged her to embrace dilusion. I can almost guarantee drugs were prescribed to mitigate her response to the mental conflict. That set her up to quietly boil till the lid popped. I'm continually grieved that we take borderline people and pressure cook them with medication instead of acknowledging the reality that there is absolute truth and bringing thought inline with the reality of that truth. Ironically, the cognitive behavioral approach is the only one that had proven to be effective and it is the last approach used. You can't prescribe it. Off my soap box. They should have released the pain (manifesto, etc) early and let them move on. This isn't helpful.4 points

Well,....we knew the life of Kyle Rittenhouse instantly. It took a bit longer to find out about the scumbag child molester he shot. I'm not sure why the media thought a minor attracted person's privacy was more important, but I have an idea.3 points

I probably had what would later be diagnosed as ADHD. This was in the late 70s/early 80s. My mother asked my doctor about it once and his response was, “All he needs is 10 acres and a 10 foot fence.” Fortunately, she got the point.2 points

From what I got out of her ramblings she hated white people that had money. Sound like something I have heard in the past spewed out by the blm people.2 points

Links2k posted an article a while back stating that the public school model was designed a century ago to prepare people for a life of factory work. Basically, sit down, shut up, and follow directions. That article had a lot of merit in my opinion. I am not in the education industry, and do not pretend to know the solution to this problem, but what we currently do isn’t working. Mind altering drugs damn sure isn’t the answer.2 points

With all due respect, you shouldn’t take my word as fact any more than what you see in the media. I’d prefer you see for yourself and have your own informed opinion. There really isn’t much there beyond incoherent ramblings, but I did not know that until I saw it.2 points

My wife got a Vespa last year, so she could join my grandson and I on motorcycle rides. I liked her scooter so much I got me one too. I ride it most of the time now, but my grandson loves the Super Tenere better. He finally nagged me to get out on the big bike this weekend. You can tell by his big grin that he had fun.2 points

Yep spoke to a gentleman about it and no written permission needed. I asked him about the spot I intended to hunt and it's good to go. I'll be trying it come the weekend hopefully.2 points

They are trying awfully hard to keep it a secret. It makes me wonder if something was going on at that school everyone wants secret or the shooter doesn't follow the narrative some want. Could be a bit of both or neither. Reminds me of the Vagas shooting. "Something bad happened. We didn't have a clue why. Guns are bad. Look the other way. "2 points

I have posted this before. When the British marched on Concorde and Lexington, they were after the canon, the powder and the shot(lead). They went to Boston to get the ships that had the Canon and powder and shot on them as well. The British knew that if the common man did not have powder or lead, all he ended up with was having a club to fight with. It will never make it past the courts. Well, unless this country goes to hell in a handbasket, and the Dems hold power for more years than we can think about and appoint a leftest commie Supreme Court.2 points

We have a good friend who has studied the " mass shooting medication " thing quite a bit over the years. There is one common thread. Early use of Ridlin. Neither medical profession nor the school folks will touch this issue. Be careful what ya allow the doctors n school system to prescribe for your kids and grandkids. These kids are yours. leroy...2 points

Respectfully, she was 28. While she certainly was somebody’s child, I think that some of you that keep referring to her as a child are (probably unintentionally) mitigating the severity of what she as an adult did to those actual children and teachers. I remember a time when a teenager would be tried as an adult if the crime was even less heinous than this, and now we are living in a time that the CDC considers 18-19 year old thugs that are killing each other “children” to pad their gun control agenda numbers. I don’t think you intended to insinuate that, but within our community which is very much under attack in part due to this animals actions, I think the language matters. I definitely agree with you about her signs of mental illness, and while her self identified status did not appear to be at play in the manifesto, I definitely think it is relevant to the overall picture of instability and hate that consumed her.2 points

I hate to sell this but I’m trying to downsize my collection a bit. Unsure of the round count for this firearm but I can say that it has worked flawlessly for me since I’ve had it. Comes with 2x DW 10 round magazines, 2x Wilson Combat magazines. Has the original grips, some hex grips, and a rubber hogue grip. asking 16001 point

First, a little back-story. My estranged sister came for a visit on Oct. 7th. Hadn’t seen her in over 10 years. Life and such happens. She brought me a revolver our father gave her in 1987 when she first moved to Atlanta. It’s a S&W model 67-1, made in 1978. Great pairing for my Model 15!! Awesome! (Pics below) (The model 15 was a $400.00 GB purchase, $450.00 after shipping and such)) I took it apart and cleaned and oiled the internals. It was actually quite clean, just dry, as it had been wrapped in a towel and stored in a drawer all those years. I don’t know if she’s ever fired it and doubt my father did very much as even though he carried a gun, he wasn’t generally a shooter. My sister is not a shooter, so talisman effect... Great double DA action trigger (I rarely shoot SA)! The sights were well regulated to 158 gr .38 spls. It easily set off CCI, Winchester, Federal, and SA primers. J On my 2nd, maybe 3rd range trip the following week and approximately 200 rds through it I emptied the cylinder and closed it up. My shooting bud (an RSO at the indoor range) wanted to see it. I opened the cylinder, showed empty, closed the cylinder and the hammer & trigger were locked up tight. Trigger frozen and hammer could not be pulled back. Again cylinder opened easily. WTF? I took it apart when I got home. Nothing would budge as far as the hammer/trigger goes. The rebound slide was back slightly and it too wouldn’t budge. Darn!! As I didn’t want to ruin it (I can change out springs and parts but I am not a revolver-smith…I know my limitations.) I called S&W Customer Service. A very nice and helpful lady in Maryville answered my call. It’s fantastic being able to talk with someone local and that loves their job. She promptly emailed me a shipping label to return the 67 to the Mother ship in MA. All revolver repairs are still being done in MA for the time being, but hopefully in Maryville within a couple of years. This was Oct. 13th…yep, Friday the 13th! So off I went to FedEx. Painless and simple process. Positive interaction. So far so good… A couple of days later I received an email from S&W with the Repair number saying they’d be in touch. I fully expected to wait several weeks as we all read about on the interwebs. But I received email notification for FedEx Monday the 30th that a shipping label had been created from the Mother ship. I phoned them (S&W) Tuesday morning. Again very friendly and helpful gentleman in Maryville. He looked up the repair number and told me that my 67 had been sent over to the Performance Center and they replaced the broken hammer nose bushing and that there would be no charge and they were happy to do it. My model 67 was delivered to my home, signature required of course, by FedEx Thursday afternoon. So less than 3 weeks and no out of pocket expense. I am very impressed with S&W and very happy to have them in TN. Looking forward to S&W completing the move of the next couple of years. Excellent customer service experience all the way around. Now, time to get this 67 back to the range! S&W Model 15 and model 67 10 yards 25 yards1 point

It would only upload two pics, but send me your phone number and I can send more, can take pics of whatever you want to see....206275 miles currently, this was my daughters car for many years, I gave her my Ford Escape in trade as she needed a bit nicer car. Car drives great and as far as I know, here is what it needs.....Windshield, oil change, 2 tires and hood struts to keep hood open. 4 of the original FJ rims will also be included, the current wheels are 17". The car is filthy dirty, looks like a good 1/2 day job with a water hose and some elbow grease, she has 4 kids, two are young and messy. Seems these sell in the 13-15 range, but I'm just offering it up for 10,000 cash as a quick sale, we have the title. You can contact me here or text me at 901-288-8777. Thanks Chuck Evans1 point

I don't fault anyone for reading it though. Most sane people are probably just looking for an answer. But, I doubt they'll find it. There IS no answer for what she did. A sick soul looking for a sick ending. Well, she found it. At the end of a barrel.1 point

grasshoppa , if you find one , get the Beretta "stealth" levers. They fit flush against the slide and make the gun very thin. Here's a picture of my 2 PX4's with and without the stealth lever. I also put the Langdon Tactical trigger bar in it too. It makes the trigger reset as short as a Canik and a 1911. It's AMAZING !1 point

That's a bit of a blanket statement isn't it? Just because it didn't work for you doesn't mean it doesn't work for others. But I agree that diagnosis should come from a trained medical professional and not a school employee. My friend just got diagnosed with ADHD as an adult and the medication is helping him.1 point

The uselessness of the TWRA continues. It's a lot easier to give inaccurate information than actually find an answer. Sorry for my rant, I just find this kind of behavior from a government agency extremely frustrating and it is consistent with the majority of interactions I've had with the agency. From the TVA website... Know Before You Go “TVA doesn’t require any special license; you just need a state hunting license,” says High. “But there are federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing hunting, and you need to know and follow them.” You also need to understand hunting safety. Wearing hunter-orange hats and vests helps ensure that you are seen when you’re in the woods—whether you’re hunting or not. “People need to remember that most TVA areas are multi-use areas,” says Brewster. “Hunting is allowed unless otherwise posted, but hikers, horseback riders, and other recreation users may be in the area, too. Also, some undeveloped TVA land is near developed areas. That’s why following the rules and being safety conscious is so important.” Hunting is prohibited on some TVA lands, such as dam reservations, power plant reservations, substations, campgrounds, and day-use areas. Be aware of where you are and what’s around you.1 point

I took my 1989 RD350 to Lake Tansi to play racquetball today. When I stopped to get gas an old guy (about my age!) stopped to chat about the bike. Most people don't know what it is, but he did and we had a nice conversation about two-stroke street bikes. He also offered to sell me a Harley V-Rod, which is tempting, but my garage is too full already. Naturally I found something to fix. The bike has oil injection, and the hose from the oil tank is leaking a bit. Always something!1 point

They're required to keep the districts roughly equal in population. The gerrymandered districts are more likely to get overturned in court if they're too egregious, i.e. keep a few safely democrat, and in the process practice a form of "containment", by lumping as many democrats as possible into a small number of districts. The final factor is to protect the incumbents at all cost. Once you plug these factors into the equation, you get the bizarre districts we (and practically every other state) have. I'm sure it wasn't directed at Bartlett residents personally, your neighborhood just happened to be sacrificed to ensure a republican majority (or super-majority) continues, while allowing whoever the incumbent is to stay in his locked-down district ...1 point

I have a feeling this is more about keeping democrats in the area combined into one district. It is Republicans redrawing the lines.1 point

This is what happens when you have people who do nothing, contribute nothing to civilization, received welfare for generations, too lazy to work but not to lazy to get food stamps, live in government and subsidized housing that is free and looks like a bombed-out town in Ukraine, have no morals, lack responsibility and ethics, yet vote for honest taxpayers to give them more and more and take everything but still live like willfully ignorant jungle pigs (no offense to real pigs). This is democracy unrestrained by justice. No wonder Socrates didn't like democracy as this is the result.1 point
