As long as there are employers who are willing to hire illegals, they'll keep coming. Neither political party will do anything to impose penalties on those employers, and we all know why. And thus the illegal immigration problem continues.3 points

I'm with Greg here...! Beautiful rifle, beautiful wood. I've got his brother in 458 Win Mag. The pictures don't do these justice. They are the " best of the best " of this round of Ruger production. They are, in fact, heirloom production. admirin leroy..2 points

The sad truth is that the construction industry is mostly filled with immigrant labor. Some, I'm sure, have work visas. Others simply don't. As others have opined, as long as employers hire these folks, they will find ways to come; both legal and illegal. I noticed that yesterday DJT allegedly ordered ICE to ease up on farm, meat packing, and " hospitality services " raids. It's gonna be interesting to see how this really plays out . I'm a bit conflicted about this stuff because I know some immigrant folks that are law abiding, hard working folks minding their own business; they are the ones that work two jobs n send money home. I'm all for them. As to the " on the dole ", LA Raza, and thug crowd, they need to go... Sorting em out without collateral damage is, indeed, a big problem. letoy2 points

I talked to my son-in-law yesterday and he told me the morning was fine and crew was getting job closer until 3 white vans showed up and 8 ICE agents got out. 30 minutes later he had to shut the job down because he was now 17 men less working. ICE arrested 17 illegals on his jobsite and took them away. They were all men from a Temp Service. He found out later that day that ICE went to the new Football Stateum Lost 48 Temp Company employees to ICE and they had to get more vans to pick them up. My son in law went to the office of the Temp Service to find out what was going on and why their Temp workers were put on jobs when they didn't have Green Cards and the guy said that they were not required to check for green cards. Son-in-law informed him that they would not be paying them for the half day and would not be back for workers anymore. Now with that said. If anyone on TGO is looking for a good paying job Liberty Construction is hiring legal citizens and Americans. If you are interested send me a PM and I will hook you up.2 points

I have a nice used Nightforce NX8 4-32x50 F1 scope for sale or trade. First focal plane, 30mm tube, MOAR reticle, and MOA adjustments. No box but it includes Badger rings and Nightforce marked tenebrex caps. I got this thing in a trade and it’s way more than I need for what I do. $1650 cash FTF around Columbia. I’d also consider trades/partial trades but it’s very limited what I’d be interested in. Staccato C2 that will accept an RMR or ACRO Bone stock 9mm Glocks at reasonable prices, especially a 43xMOS or 19xMOS. Leupold VX3HD certain models with 40mm or smaller objectives. Trijicon RMRHD or Aimpoint ACRO Totally a longshot but I’m looking for a nice used Can Am Defender HD-10 XMR of course with cash on my end.1 point

IMHO I think that all of the towns and cities that declared themselves as Sanctuary places to attract immigrants to them was a very bad decision. All it did was sell a bill of goods to all the thousands that were still in their countries trying to decide whether to come here illegally or go through the legal process. Then when Biden became totally worthless about doing his job it just added fuel to and already burning fire. As far as companies such as the Meat Packing company in Kansas. They seem to want to help the people they lost. Let them start up and got to bat on working at getting their lost employees legalized so they can put them back to work. Just MHO. I have known several families from Mexico that are here totally legal and they are very nice folks to visit and be around. They will also be the first to speak out against illegal immigrants being in America.1 point

I was a big fan of Stephen King years ago when he was first getting started. Great and scary stuff. But I believe that accident that almost killed back in 1999 changed him. The last couple of his books I tried to read absolutely sucked. I didn't even finish the last one. Put it down after struggling through about one quarter of it.1 point

It was just a humble suggestion. Sadly, PTBs have not thought it important enough. /shrug1 point

Either one of the Ruger LCP series or S&W Bodyguard would be good choices. Lots of holsters and stuff available for them. HOLSTERS ARE IMPORTANT! Have a LCP II and recently used it for a defensive drill I was trying introducing a friend to. It amazes me how quickly it drew from concealment and put 7 rounds of Hornady HP VERY quickly on a man sized target at 15 yards. What else could you want?* Get one, train with it, and carry it in a secure holster. Am sure Bodyguard would do the same. *Ok, cheaper ammo would be nice!1 point

I have a blued 20 inch that I would sell for $600 with the box. I live in the Hendersonville area. PM me1 point

I added a pull up and dip station near my target area so I could mix in bodyweight stuff between drills. It helps break up the shooting routine and keeps you moving. I just set mine in concrete and it’s held up great. If you're already outside and training, it's a simple way to add a bit more to the session without needing much space or gear.1 point

If I go any bigger than my 9.6 oz Ruger LCP, I'd just as soon carry my Sig P365. Even with the LaserGrip on it, I can throw it a pair of gym shorts. That alone keeps me from ever compromising and NEVER leaving the house unarmed.1 point

Caught a YouTube excerpt from the Joe Rogan show. They were talking about the $100m fund to help Californians impacted by fire. Not many have been helped. Here's what they laid out in the interview: The Foundation gets $100m and takes their cut for administration, upwards of 70% The Foundation then gives the remaining 30% to another charity or NGO, which takes their 70% rake and so it goes. Any wonder at the popularity of USAID and the NGO racket? I did not fact check, but not particularly surprised. On the flip side, for comparison, Doctors without Borders retains about 10% for admin, the remaining 90% is distributed for end users.1 point

As a genealogy buff, I found this idea very intriguing but could not bring myself to do it because I did not want my DNA in a database such as this. Really glad I made that decision.1 point

So we have like a million + illegals deported and half of them decide to try and come back in and get caught. Then they are charged with a felony. That means we give them good food, a warm bed, medical expenses, a dry roof to sleep under. In my opinion they need to make the punishment much much harsher to discourage them coming back period!!!!!1 point
-
If they are deported and then return it is now a felony from what I understand. Also if they are deported they are not eligible to legally return ever. Sneaking back in is much harder now as well. If they self deport they can try to come back legally.1 point

Out of site out of mind. If you have a good concealment rig and don't screw with constantly by tugging to see if it's there. I take mine into banks, post office, and everywhere there isn't a metal detector. Those sings mean nothing to me, I carried daily before they even thought about carry permits here in TN. Then when they offered them I went and took the two day classes that you had to do.1 point

I really like Ruger #1's. I have four of them. But darn it, I don't see myself going to Africa to hunt buffalo or elephants. Beautiful rifle, though, and someone is going to treasure it.1 point
