  1. Woke up Monday morning with my truck sitting on my chest. Woke my wife and told her I think I am having an attack. She called 911 took the ambulance 20 minutes to get to my house. Ten minutes later I was on the road to Ascencion St Thomas in Murfreesboro. There about 20 minutes and was taken to Cath lab. Had a blood clot in one of my bypass arteries. Now heart muscle damage and am in heart failure with only 30% heart output (should be 50 to 75 % at my age) but finally home. Not feeling real bad but am somewhat weak. Will need serious rehab and rest. Heart muscle damage and in danger of several bad outcomes in the short time future. I got to get the weight off and watch diet plus take 3 different heart related new meds now and pray for the best. Consensus is, most probably caused by my bout with Coved about 2 months ago. Seems a lot of people who get the new strain of Coved are having blood clots shortly afterwards. Looking to an uphill climb at 76 now. My wife and girls are very glad I am home. Life is short guys. Hope you all are prepared for your demise, I am. I am a child of Jesus the Christ and live for HIM. I am sure my attack took place 5 minutes down the road to the Hospital and could tell the Paramedic was excited with trying to show it. Kept running heart strips all the way to the Hospital. Both my arms were tingling and almost useless, and I began sweeting profusely. I was not scared and was at total, peace, after my prayer, with whatever happened. Only way to be that way is to be a child of Jesus, guys. I did feel terrible concerning and sorrow for my wife because if worse came to worse she would be left alone. Think about eternity guys, please.

  3. Up for sale is a Winchester Model 1894 Saddle Ring Carbine chambered in 30 WCF (30-30) made in 1911. It is close to, but not all completely original. This one was pretty rough when I started. When I work on an old rifle, I don’t want to make it “new”, just clean and functional. It’s not a collector’s piece, but it is now a really nice historic old shooter. The rifle has been completely disassembled, cleaned and put back together. There was little (if any) original bluing left on the metal. I did not try to make the metal look new, but I cleaned it up and gave it a vintage look with cold bluing. The original gum-wood stock was in pretty rough shape and had, at some point in the rifle’s 113-year life, been refinished and sanded a bit too much. The original gum-wood forend was also sanded and bit too much and is split at the front. I cleaned them up as best I could, but they were still just to ugly. I replaced them with a reproduction set from Gunville.com in American Black Walnut. After hand fitting the new furniture, it was finished with a hand rubbed oil finish. The original stock and forend will be included. The saddle ring is also not original to the rifle but I believe it is an old piece. It also now has the correct v-notched ladder rear carbine sight. $950, OBO. Located in Nashville. For sale/trade to persons who can legally own a firearm. Trade I’m interested in is a Marlin GBL or Trapper in 45-70 with a threaded barrel. I’ll add scratch as needed. I can send more (and higher resolution) photos (including some before photos) upon request.

  6. Well, since communists deal in instilling fear, I believe everyday people will cease setting up at gun shows. Attendance will be down & many promotors will go out of business. I believe many will drop prices & liquidate their collections. I believe there will be arrests both at homes & gun shows to bolster their agenda, make examples. These tactics have been used in various states, especially the blue states. I hope I'm wrong & these unconstitutional "laws" are overturned. Some here have labeled President Trump a dictator, yeah right, there's a dictator & his minions in office now seeing to the destruction of our country.

  8. Went to my Cardiologist yesterday. She was encouraging. Said she though I can get back a lot of heart flow, that I lost, with good diet, diabetic numbers in check, and Cardiac Rehab if I take it seriously and work at it. They are going to check my heart output, on July 2, to see how much I have improved. I have a trip set for August, to Alaska, on a cruise ship. She said not to cancel it because she thinks I will have improved enough to make the trip. Go for Rehab today at 1:00. Going to do it 3 days per week if I can. This will be my 3rd time at Rehab. Got work to do!

  11. "You've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky? ' Well, do you, punk?" - Inspector Callahan Thinning out my safe queens. Someone would give this nice Model 29 a better home than my safe. Not really looking for trades at this time. For sale is my Model 29-2 with the Dirty Harry 6" barrel (yeah, he also used an 8" version in the movies). It is pinned and recessed. The felt in the presentation box is non-existent at this point. I just never bother to replace the plastic/felt insert. My S&W catalog dates the serial number to 1972. $1400 $1200 in the Mt. Juliet area.

  13. It’s not “arming teachers.” It’s ALLOWING teachers to arm themselves if they choose. If they don’t like it, then don’t participate, but why not let others who are willing? I don’t think anybody believes it is THE solution, but a fire may not do as much damage if someone with a hose is there when it starts.

  14. Custom fitted, black walnut grips. Maybe shot 200 rounds. Comes with everything from the factory plus a good quality, leather, cowboy style holster. I bought it for bear protection when I bowhunted out west, but I no longer have a use for it. I'll throw in all the 300gr, hardcast handloads I have plus whatever spare brass I can scrounge up. I also have an Alaris Tactical chest holster I'd part with for an extra $50 to the buyer. $700 firm (I don't do haggling. I list for the lowest I'll accept.) No trades. Can meet anywhere between Winchester & Murfreesboro.

  16. New unfired Saiga 12 iz109 model. This was one of the last models imported before the ban in 2014. Still in the grease as they say.AK platform shotgun for those that don't know. 19" threaded barrel, includes 1 magazine. $900 (high capacity drum available for extra $$$) Norinco M97 shotgun. This is a stunning copy of the famous Winchester model 97 12 gauge. Hammered action complete with "slam fire" capability. Some consider this the "riot" version as they also remade the famous "trench" version. Still in the grease. $900 No trades I'm in east tn

  18. My boys and I are working on fixing this up. It's taken a lot longer than I'd hoped but we're getting there. My wife's granddad bought it new. While I was able to drive it across town to our house, we've had to do a lot of stuff to get it running reliably. Almost there. Trying to use it to teach them about wrenching. I'd love to put an LS in it, but just trying to get the 4.3 running well for now.

  22. Bought this a couple years back thinking I'd get into long range shooting. Not happening with my 69-year-old eye issues. I have $1600+ in this set-up with the Vortex Viper 30mm 6x24x50 AO. I can vouch it's 1/2 MOA out to 300 yards ... that's as far as I got. $1200 takes it home

  24. I am white and I do not live in a bad neighborhood, so I am speaking way out of turn on this one... but I have a suspicion that there are a LOT of people in those bad neighborhoods who are more sick of that #### than any of us on the sidelines are. Because they live with it daily and often are somewhat captive to it. Who is killing whom is best answered by saying it's criminals doing the killing and sometimes it's other criminals who get killed, but often it's also innocent people who were in the wrong place at the wrong time. The elephant in the room that no one is ignoring, if you talk to good people who live in those neighborhoods, is that there is a pervasive culture that glamorizes violence. And those good people are sick of that #### too. I don't have any answers. Just observations and sympathy for the people who want out and can't seem to find a way.

  26. I don’t personally go to gun shows. It’s been at least 12-15 years since I have been. Now from what I hear, it’s mostly guys who are charging moon bucks for dirt road stuff, or ATF agents. Gun Shows in general have lost their “luster” or appeal for me. The issue I have with the latest infringement is the wide variable interpretation of “earning a profit”. I’ve had friends with ads on other sites that have received emails from ATF explaining their definition change. Basically a threatening email. This will be the new normal. It will only get worse with another FJB term. Still worse but at a slower rate if Trump gets another term. I for one am sick of old rich people making decisions that affect normal working people.
