  1. Cheaper Than Dirt can keep their .223 and choke on it.

  2. This thing is starting to snowball.  Companies are standing up.  I want to see states stand up too.  Let the country become polarized and the manufacturing move to where it's wanted.  Guns aren't the end all tell all of the manufacturing world but it COULD start a chain reaction.  What if ALL of the gun companies moved south where they are welcomed with arms wide open.  As the dust settles people's eyes are opened by the fact that more jobs are here and they say, "hmmmmm  Instead of that detroit pile of crap, I think I'll buy a kentucky made Camry or a nashville made Nissan. "  "I ain't buyin salsa made in New York city!  I'll buy the one made in texas!"   Okay, I'm funnin' but seriously.  Screw buying made in america just because it's made in america.  Buy made in USA products made by people you want to see prosper because be honest; Would any of us really shed a tear if Chicago was starving to death?  No.

  3. Realized that may have come across the wrong way towards the OP. Thanks for the heads up to anyone who may benefit from that deal. As for me, CTD can choke on their stock based on their actions post-Newtown. They will never get another dollar from me.

  4. I am disgusted and sickened by the way the Obamas so badly want to be celebrities. It's like Lucy and Desi without the humor. Or maybe we're the butt of their joke.

Not as good as some other gun companies but at least Maryland will feel the affects of their decision to restrict gun ownership.  http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/md-politics/berettas-future-in-maryland-tied-to-states-gun-control-debate/2013/02/23/bcc56c62-7776-11e2-95e4-6148e45d7adb_story.html

  7. Again, there is nothing to see here and definately nothing to fear. As is often suggested in these threads, do a Google search of Farrahan and you will see that like many of todays prosperity preachers he has been playing his followers like suckers for decades. Many of us were kids when he came up with his "Economic Plan" for the black community. Guess who has prospered and who hasn't. There are real things to be angry about. IMO this isn't one of them.

  8. Yes, I'm a former band geek.  I got this in an email and found it pretty impressive.  I'm told this is the Royal Norwegian Guard Regiment.  Their pin wheels could use a little work, but otherwise the performance is excellent.  Reminds me of the good 'ole days when all I had to worry about was staying in step.  A few things to note... They're marching on ice.   They're carrying functional Garands.    They're playing music from one of the greatest movies, ever.   http://sorisomail.com/email/16993/exibicao-de-banda-militar--um-espectaculo-imperdivel.html

  10.   As does blowing the name of the movie in rebuttal. :) :)   However, I agree with your other points. And I'll buy from from CTD again when they have something I want at the price I'm willing to pay. 'Cause I'm a whore, and my bucks are largely apolitical if not outright amoral.   - OS

  12.   She wasn't there in person.  They just put her on for a brief moment to say who won best picture.  They asked her to do it, it wasn't like she lobbied for it.  I think we have bigger things to worry about than the first lady announcing who won the best picture.   These types of threads just make us look like a bunch of 10 year old's who had a ball taken away.  I don't like his policies anymore than you do, but these types of comments just make us look like a bunch of whiny losers.

  13. Sounds great. Hope you enjoy the Brown Bear and that it shoots well for you. No one asked you not to advise others. You were, in fact, thanked for doing so.   Meanwhile, CTD will still never see another dollar of MY money.

  17. Keep in mind that Obama's OFA is targeting voters in areas where they think that they can get a congresscritter to change their vote.  They had over 100 anti-gun rallies on Friday while pro-gun folks were working.  And every one of them got news attention, no matter how small.  Did anyone see any TV coverage of the 99 pro-gun rallies that were held Saturday?   We need to keep up the pressure because the opposition is pushing this with every lie they can make up.   Our biggest advantage is that a LOT more folks are fervently pro-gun than are anti-gun.

  18. Mosin rifle is perfect as is.  The Great Socialist Revolution has provided perfect rifle for Workers to use against Greedy Capitalist running-dog Oppressors!  All Workers are Equal with this rifle.  Bolt operation gives Workers Strong Right Arm!  Only weak American lackey arms need to use hammer or wood stick to beat bolt open when rifle gets warm!   Replace wood stock grown from trees of the Holy Motherland with Capitalist plastic produced from greedy aristocratic oil-scum ?!  Take this unpatriotic mewling scum out and shoot him with Excellent Cheka Commisar Nagant pistol.

  19. I have a SHTF stock pile that I started long before the madness, I will not get into it just for range time. That allows me the luxury of being able to shoot what I find now, with the exception of .22lr. I have several thousand rounds but not knowing when I could replace them I am reluctant to send them down the pipe without something in exchange, i.e. a squirrel, or something else for the cookfire.   On a side note, My FIL asked me tonight if I knew where to get some .22, I just chuckled. He told me he finished last box last week. I told him I had not seen any in a few weeks just to keep trying online and checking the stores. Then it happened, he asked if I still had some. I said I had a few, I had searched and found some online about a month ago. he asked if he could have some of mine so he could target shoot some more. He is a die hard democrat and I could not help but laugh as I told him, "that is a democrat for you, you spent al of yours so now you want some of what I have worked for and saved." I asked him how he voted last year, and he grinned and said "you know how I voted" so I told him "you reap what you sow." I also declined to "share the wealth". Does that make me an ass hole?

  27. I love the idea, I just hope that the a bunch of liberal voters wouldn't follow those companies for jobs and start stinking up the balance of power in otherwise conservative-leaning states. The thought of profitable companies leaving oppressive states is awesome, though.

  28.   I'm not far behind you Leroy. I vote Republican now and did a lot of personal campaigning to friends and family this last election.  I just wanted Obama OUT OF THERE..!!! I knew that every vote was going to be crucial to get it done, but it didn't happen.   NOW however, I'm keeping a keen eye to the RTKBA issue. Yeah I love to shoot and do a little hunting now and then, but we all know this issue goes way past that.  It's a litmus test to me of every politician in the country at every level, the way I see it, from county Sheriff to the White House on the real fortitude and direction they EACH want our country and freedoms to go. This is why I can't stand to even look at most of the Democrats. Anybody that can look and listen to them and not think "SOCIALIST" is totally freak'n blind in my book.   If things go left on this issue, then I'm done with both parties and I'll be voting for anybody that AIN'T a member of the Democrat or a Republican party in 2016.

  33. If you are involved in a shoot that gets to that point, you have much bigger problems than whether or not to carry a backup. You also made terrible decisions leading up to that assertion having the opportunity to be made.

  35. I use 2400 for my .357 loads.  My favorite load is 15.0 grains behind a Remington 158gr SJHP.  It's a bit stiff, but I have yet to see any high-pressure signs from it in any revolver.  I have also used the same load for the Berry's plated 158gr for an inexpensive practice round.   Bear are a thicker, heavier animal than deer, and penetration is important, especially if you need to defend yourself against an enraged Mama bear.

  38. I have had my name on a waiting list for a Glock 19 for a couple of months. I recently stumbled across a used one for $500 and I didn't hesitate. It is just the way things will be for a while. If I had it to do all over again I would have just gotten a .40 Glock.

  40. I would like to chime in a say I am a new re-loader but I'm doing for the fun of it and not just build a stock pile. With that enthusiasm, I've read, watched and taken in just about everything I could before I popped out my first spent primer. I check every case for a double charge and measure and put each in a case gauge.    I'm saying this for 2 reasons. Maybe to put you mind at ease that some noobs are really taking this seriously. Also, please don't immediately discount all noobs and help where you see a chance.

  41. Is it a crime to pursue someone who just robbed you at gun point?    This has nothing to do with "stand your ground".  Perhaps he was following him so he could be a good witness and tell the cops where the guy fled to.  After all, it was his money that was taken, and he has a right to his stuff, unless there is a law out there that says you absolutely MUST hand over your money, then suck your thumb in the corner as the bad guy runs away.   Where would he have broken any laws?  The bad guy EFFING SHOT AT HIM, and only then did the citizen draw his weapon and return fire.   So, the victim here was in a place where he had a legal right to be, after the criminal robbed him at gun point.  The victim attempted to follow the suspect and was shot at and therefore returned fire.  Maybe I'm just stoopid; could someone please point out where the victim committed any crime versus the criminal who committed armed robbery and aggravated assault/attempted murder?  Or are we just applying our own values to "what I would have done" and thinking falsely that has any sort of bearing on law?   This is the story:   Bad guy robs good guy.  Good guy follows bad guy.  Bad guy shoots at good guy.  Good guy shoots back and wounds bad guy.  Good guy gets his stuff back.  Bad guy goes back to jail where he belongs.   This guy should get a friggin medal, not a bunch of people wishing he be prosecuted for doing absolutely nothing that is against the law.

  42. Well he didn't "Stand his ground". He "advanced his ground" if you will. I am very surprised they are calling it justified but as 2.0 said, WI law may be different. Bad choice on his part IMO.

  43. Agree 1000%. I don't like being treated like a criminal unless I'm acting like one. Yea, it's past time for us to decriminalize acting in accordance with the Constitution of the United States of America. Waaaaaay past time. No, but one has to wonder why continue to frequent such a crap hole.
