Yes, it really is dangerous. There seems to be a growing trend on the right with this sort of conspiratorial worldview and it's very detrimental to freedom loving people in this country. First, it feeds into the rhetoric of the left that portrays the right, especially gun owners, as dangerous and lacking rational thought. Second, it will be a matter of time before one of these people are crazy enough and pissed off enough to pull another Timothy McVeigh. What's even more concerning to me is that some of the people I know who unquestioningly buy into this crap should be smart enough to know better.4 points

A guy stuck his head into a barber shop and asked, 'How long before I can get a haircut?' The barber looked around the shop full of customers and said, 'About 2 hours.' The guy left. A few days later, the same guy stuck his head in the door and asked, 'How long before I can get a haircut?' The barber looked around at the shop and said, 'About 3 hours.' The guy left. A week later, the same guy stuck his head in the shop and asked, 'How long before I can get a haircut. The barber looked around the shop and said, 'About an hour and a half.' The guy left. The barber turned to his friend and said, 'Hey, Bob, do me a favor. Follow that guy and see where he goes. He keeps asking how long he has to wait for a haircut, but then he doesn't come back.' A little while later, Bob returned to the shop, laughing hysterically. The barber asked, 'So, where does that guy go when he leaves?' Bob looked up, wiped the tears from his eyes and said, 'Your house!'3 points

When I saw this story yesterday I grinned a little. I hope Detroit turns around and explodes. But it won't convince any liberals. They will just claim he reaped the benefits of Democrat policies3 points

Do not do this. Never use load data for one powder when using a different powder no matter where the fall in the chart. The powders in the chart are not equally spaced. Just because two powders are next to each other does not mean that they are similar. It just means they are closer to each other than the rest of the powders. There could be huge differences between two powders that are next to each other and those differences could result in injury or death. Find data for the powder you are using. There is plenty of resources for using Bullseye so there is no reason to use any other data. Bearing surface and case capacity both have affects on pressure. Heavier bullets tend to have longer bearing surfaces as well as seat deeper in the cases and these increase pressures. This is why heavier bulelts tend to have a smaller charge compared to lighter bullets. Seating depth affects case capacity and pressures. You can blow a gun up using the minimum charge if you seat a bullet deep enough. This is why they ALWAYS list the OAL of the loaded cartridge. Dolomite3 points

His real name? Is it Barry Soereto (sp)? Or Barrack Hussien Obama? That's never really been explained to me exactly how that came about. Or how he has a social security number from a State in which he has never been a legal resident of ... Way too many unanswered questions about this guy that no-one in the media seems to care about, I wouldn't even hire him to babysit my kids with a background check containing so many red-flags let alone entrust all of our nations most secret secrets to him *sigh* wtf America? Was electing our first *black President* so G'damn important that fact-checking the @#$%^%$,ers resume that #$%^#$ing unimportant?3 points

I hope that all those conservatives that stayed home on election day because they just "didn't like Romney" are happy now. He wasn't my first choice either, but I did at least understand the importance of removing Obama from office at all costs, then regrouping in 2016. The Left has decided they are an unstoppable machine. People......the midterm elections are gonna mean the life or death of America as we know it.2 points

If George Zimmerman had any hand to hand skills he probably would not be in the situation he is presently in...... If your ONLY answer to a problem is to be able to pull a gun I hope you never have a problem when you are somewhere that you are not armed. At the same time, at arms length, going for the gun BEFORE you have created space or controlled the opponents limb closest to the weapon you are probably going to end up in a weapon retention/disarm situation....anyone remember Julie Jacks? The better skilled you are...the better skilled you are ...period. If you have good guns skills AND good hand skills then you are far better off than if you JUST have good gun skills. But you do not have to be a 10th degree blackbelt super ninja to be functional . You just need to know some basics and then apply it with extreme violence. Learn 3 basic strikes, a default head cover (to keep from getting knocked out) proper body mechanics (to make it less likely to get knocked down) and you are well on your way to handling most REALISTIC street situations that are not "mutually agreed upon combat". Combine those with accessing your gun (or knife) while under attack and you'll be you'll be far and away ahead of most folks.2 points

Cites like this will not ever recover as long as the people that live "in" the city limits are on the government tit. They see good change as bad, for it has jobs, and a way off the tit.2 points

Their biggest mistake so far is that clause for shotguns. Now they can't pit the shotgun/bolt guys against the AR/AK/other guys. They are all in it together now that the AR guys can say "See? We told you they wanted them all."2 points

I have supported them all along but this will make some feel better.... Posted on Facebook roughly 30mins ago "REGARDING LEO SALES March 1st, 2013 Back in 1990, when I was deployed in Desert Shield and Desert Storm as a Marine grunt, some companies prioritized me items for my M16 for shipping that I purchased with my own funds. After getting out and forming Magpul in 1999, I established the same priority policy for Military and Law Enforcement, due to the requirements of their profession. The same policy has been in place for 13 years now and has never been an issue until a few days ago. I do not support the idea that individual police officers should be punished for the actions of their elected officials. That said, I understand the concerns that some have with Law Enforcement officers getting special treatment while at the same time denouncing second amendment rights to another citizen in the same state. With the fight in Colorado right now we do not have time to implement a new program, so I have suspended all LE sales to ban states until we can implement a system wherein any Law Enforcement Officer buying for duty use will have to promise to uphold their oath to the US Constitution - specifically the second and fourteenth amendments - as it applies to all citizens. first off someone needs to explain to me the difference between republicans and democrats. Near as I can tell they are about as different as a Chevy and a Ford. GOP members are no more turncoats than Dem's. Believing there is actually a difference is the first farce people need to get past. I am not registering much of anything. Problem solved.2 points

Check these out. Exciting stuff for AR owners. The 1-4x 24mm is going to be under $200 and the 1-4x 24mm Throw Down PCL is going to be under $250. I really like the PCL version because of the reticle and the first focal plain. Dolomite1 point

I hope they do also Dave. I hope Beretta leaves Maryland, and it's looking very much like a very real possibility. I hope every gun, ammo, or accessory manufacturer in any state that pulls this crap packs up and moves out. I'm gonna be watching and will spend my money at the companies that support our rights. I always look to Elmer Keith.....I have not been able to prove him wrong yet. If you can find some of his 173 grain cast lead bullets( I cast my own) and 13.5 grains of 2400 with standard primers it is a really good load. H110/296 is the same powder...no different coating, the same. But I have found it inconsistent in shorter barrels. AA9 is good and cleaner but I have such a history with 2400 I cannot leave it. For a combination of accuracy, velocity, and proven track record that is my first choice always. Do some research on sixguns.com.1 point

Here is another thing to consider, while the bill doesn't go as far as we'd like, it can be amended next year to include more of the things we like. To me it's a step in the right direction. Now we need to keep it moving, and push for more next year!1 point

Unarmed millions, the one time the Jews fought back, outnumbered 10 to 1 by the Nazi forces with handguns and bolt action rifles, they held off 2100 troops with over a hundred fixed machine guns, artillery, and 900+ SS special forces. While finally over ran, they held the city for a month, and killed nearly 300 Nazi's. And we're not unarmed sheep. The real question is would you stand by with proof that the government was killing without trial 10,000 or 100,000 civilians? Or would you pickup your hunting rifle and help put an end to the tyranny?1 point

Jay:_____________ Just happended to think of somethin else ALA Gun Control Act of 1968. There was some sentiment in the country for this one. .....The Kennedys, MLK...... I see no sentiment among most people for gun control now. Now, you have individual states actually expanding gun rights (....or, more correctly, restoring gun rights....). Even the "Snozz" Haslam is sayin that "... state officials are monitoring the federal legislative scene closely to see that the gun rights of Tennesseeans are not infringed...". That simply was not going on in the 60's. I firmly believe that more and people are discovering on their own exactly what the Second Amendment is really about. I count that a good thing. As to the Republican thing; ...i see them (...for the most part...) as just another bunch of sons and daughters of satan that want to tell you and me what we can do, what we can have, and how much money we can keep. That is exactly what has made me a radical isolationist libertarian. I dont like any of 'em. Keep your powder dry. leroy1 point
