Keeps sending suggestive pictures of himself dressed as a German beer maiden to my email account, asking if it's a fair trade for a TGO decal. The worse part is... he never tells me where to mail the decal.3 points

If Glocks are going for 10k I am going to retire at the age of 27.3 points

Many of them modified to be illegal... The horror. I also want to find someone to pay me $10k for my Glock.3 points

I can give you that one, but I am more of a results oriented person. Judging by that standard, Bush and Obama are both equal disasters for the liberty and freedom of the American people.3 points

Fantastic day today!!! How many birds can a gunsmith, gun builder and 13 year old kill? 28 evidently. LOL2 points

If the hammer falls on my insurance (it hasn't yet but probably will in the fall) I'll just pay the penalty and sign up if or when I get really sick....pre-existing conditions won't matter any more....right?2 points

I want to wish everyone on TGO a happy and prosperous NEW YEAR. My plans are same as have been last many years. Stay home, watch TV in Bedroom till I fall a sleep. I learned many years ago that the new year still comes if your awake of a sleep so I quit waiting up for it to happen............ :up:2 points

My wife has informed me we will be having an exciting evening at church.2 points

Well, Happy New Year to you as well. I'm going to hunt in the morning, maybe all day if I don't get something early. If I do get one early, I may go do some shooting if I can find a place open. Or I may go home, eat a cheeseburger, and call it a day :up:2 points

Not into the whole downtown scene so the wife and I are Stargazing at Dyer Observatory followed by a midnight hike at Radnor Lake. Simple but fun.2 points
How is WalMart "corrupt" for trying to enforce some sanity in ammo purchasing? You don't have to be a rocket scientest to know what they are trying to accomplish with the limits. Next time you want to skirt the intent then don't show up as a happy throng all wanting their limit. After the past year with people's bitching, complaining to management or corporate, employee shenanigans, playing the "push the limit" game, and inconsistent policies from store to store, I would not be surpirsed if WM just said to hell with it all. No more ammo or gun sales.
Dude, did you even read my post and reply or just the title? I'm guessing you just read the title and replied..... What frustrated me was that he knowingly sold ammo to a family, 3 per customer... Ok... That's their policy... 3 per customer... Not 3 per family or. Group. That's some made up and unpublished policy. So my wife and I were deemed a group and not sold the 3 per customer. That clerk knew damned well that that Gomer and his 2 sons were related and sold them the published policy 3 box max, but would not sell my wife her 3 boxes.. Pretty simple. Would you like to get pulled over for driving a certain colored vehicle and cited for it? That's a made up and unsubstantiated law or policy... Double standards is corruption... That's hat frustrated me. We had a great Xmas and this is all history.... But it did frustrate me at the time.2 points

Charities are fine and all. Hard to argue with the results St Jude's produces, but I prefer to do most of it myself. Is not hard to find someone who needs help. I have three rules I lay down before I help someone in need. One, don't talk about it. Two, when you get on your feet, go help someone else. Three, DO NOT TALK ABOUT IT. Be sure and read the 6th chapter of the book of Matthew. There's some good guidelines on the subject there. Its a good practice even if you don't believe in God.2 points

I send a check every month to the Sumner County Humane Society or just go buy several big bags of dog food and deliver it their door. I try to buy puppy food, adult dog food and adult cat food each month. I don't think the employees eat the food so I feel it goes to the animals. They may take some home for personal animals but if they are going to steal they will steal..........jmho2 points

I was lucky enough to pick up a used Galco Miami Classic for about $25 at a gun show - it looks cool and is very comfortable for me, but I rarely use it unless I'll be wearing a jacket over it the entire day.1 point

We can't have a thread on TGO these days without Gey. ;) Oh, Danny boy, the Glocks, the Glocks are calling From match to match and down the melonite slide The malfunctions gone and all the zeros falling It's true, it's true, rust must go no rust on the slide But come to Glock and all your shots be in the zero Or when the other Experts hushed and white with fear It won't malfunction in sunshine or in shadow Oh, Danny boy, oh, Danny boy, you'll love Glock so But when ye come and all the brass is flying Two to the chest, one to the head, one day you'll see You'll come in first place or I am lying And kneel and say an 'Ave' there for me And recoil so soft you may shoot one two three And all your game will be better, a sweet shooter it'll be For you will win and tell me that you owe me And if you don't I'll gloat and beat you with my 191 point

They are pretty cool. And were cheap at one time. Like you said, the de-cocker is iffy. I tested mine once on a loaded chamber. Yes, it did fire. Another thing that you probably already know, don't dry-fire it. The firing pins can be brittle.1 point

My prediction for the next elections: I think Hillary will run, she will be the democratic nominee, and (it's painful to say) she will probably be elected. I'm watching for her to come out hard in the spring of this year saying that she can 'fix' everything that Obama got wrong, especially Obamacare. (“We can fix it!†will probably her campaign slogan...) House and Senate Democrats will then run on how they need to be re-elected to help her get elected, and they will promise a free lunch (health care, higher minimum wage, immigration) to everyone to buy votes. The republicans will field a compromise, middle-of-the-road (e.g. Christie) candidate, and frustrated conservatives will give up before the election. Low-information voters will turn out in droves again to vote for the first female president, just like they did for the first black president. Then they’ll all spend the next 4-8 years blaming obstructionist republicans for all the country’s problems. It worked once, it will work again.1 point

I hate to through water on your fire, DSG ARMS is stating that they are "Out of Stock"...and have been for some time. Maybe I just didn't hit them on a day when they had a few. My post was simply stating that I finally found a supplier that had what they advertised...at a reasonable price. I have seen these magazines priced at more than twice the MSRP. By the way, I like Hendersonville, my Mom and Dad lived on Indian Lake Road for many years. Happy New Year.1 point

Here I am hanging out with an ANA soldier and an officer from the ANP. This was taken at the FOB that was the first stop for any injured soldiers coming out of the Korengal. And another in front of or barracks. And yes, I would go back in a heartbeat if I could.1 point

If you remember the episode from Sanford and Son, when Lamont was trying ween Fred off of TV, he placed this picture on top of the TV. This might work too, the next time you want a Glock, just place this picture beside the gun!1 point

Want to increase the brightness of reticles? If the scope uses a 2032 battery then buy and double up on 2016 batteries. Yes it is crazy and yes it does work. The 2016 batteries are exactly 1/2 as thick but the same voltage as the 2032's. You double them up and they double the voltage as well as the brightness. I was told this and laughed to myself thinking it couldn't be this easy. Then when I got home I tried it in a scope that I had that was notoriously dim and afterwards I could use it in bright son. I will caution that it may not work with optics that have circuits like a Doctor, Burris FastFire and the like but it definitely works with rheostat optics.1 point

You can bet most managers know this is taking place and just not important enough for them to get involved. Most of them probably are anti gun people anyway and don't really care about what is going on.........jmho1 point

Its not a Ruger but I have a Browning takedown and its been nice and tight for years. I love 10/22's and I can only imagine that Ruger would at least try to meet the longevity of a Browning. I've been toying with getting one of the Ruger take downs as well, once 22 ammo is around again.1 point

So, are you all ready to have your mind BLOWN?! Back in November of 2007, my platoons first patrol to Marastana we found his helmet, pack, and other stuff. Remember what he wrote in the book about what he took on that mission? Small world eh? I should probably mention we knew it was his because his name was written inside his helmet. Yes, we sent it back to the Navy, whom gave it back to him. Obliviously only the helmet.1 point
