I see it as the greatest advance since possessing a loaded firearm became illegal in the first place. Unlike the HCP it's a nod to actual constitutional carry -- even though it's still once removed from carry on the person it's the first actual universal carry freedom in public of any kind since 1870. - OS2 points
The new guns in cars law was not mentioned as far as I could tell. Haven't heard about it anywhere.
We certainly can't have the general public informed about new gun laws otherwise they might exercise their rights.2 points

I moved five miles up the road seven years ago. Was SO excited there was a gun store and range to boot this close to the house. Went in there two times. They were rude and the prices were just about 100 dollars more than guns and leather. The range was horrible also. Second time I told them I won't be back. They put themselves out of business.2 points
Thanks for that, but now one more question. The description on Primary Arms site says "YOU WILL NEED TO PURCHASE ONE OF THE AR RISERS IN THE DROP DOWN MENU FOR MOUNTING ON ANY AR PLATFORM RIFLE " I understand you need the riser to get to a co-witness position, but couldn't it also be used just as shown with the low mount if you didn't have a front sight or whatever? I mean, why is the one shown even on there? - OS
Yes, but you'd end up with more of a "temple" weld than a "cheek" weld. :P Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S4 using technology and stuff2 points

Spin up our assets Send them overseas Protect ? Country (control the oil because we need to burn everyone else's first and save ours. The last country on earth with oil will be king) Declare a border crises Allow UN troops to deploy "Humanitarian Missions/protect America" and institute a police state in border states Chaos And more easily done following the mass purge of our top military leaders. I can agree with part of what you stated but the last line, "we let them search and we deal with whatever comes" ? You have fun with that. I'm not saying that I'm running if someone comes to the door but that is not open ended. If I ever feel like I am about to be wrongfully detained and that unless I scoot things will get much worse then I'm outta here. Maybe our whole system isn't to the point of corruption that you described but having personally witnessed an officer stick a bag of dope in a handcuffed mans shirt pocket then pull it back out declaring what he'd just found, you must understand where my skeptisim comes from. Would the guy I speak of been just as well to have run? Maybe. I only point this out to make the point that there are situations that might warrant taking your chances. Also, I'm pretty sure when the others above questioned the constitutionality of the search it was based more on their doubt that the warrant should have ever been issued.2 points

My family was near Wolfchase Mall (Memphis) today so we stopped in at the food court for lunch. While we were eating I noticed a group of about 10 guys come in and get in line at the various restaurants. They were clean cut, looked to be physically fit, and all were dressed in similar civilian clothing. Being a former LEO I tend to people watch and these guys really stood out. My first impression was that they were military and my wife, who's dad was retired Navy, thought the same. After they sat down to eat I noticed two of them didn't look quite as fit as the others so my next thought was that they were federal LEO's. It didn't look like any of them were carrying a weapon but they were dressed just like plain clothes cops. Anyway, we ate then took our daughters to the Disney store. These guys were leaving about the same time as us so I watched to see what type of vehicles they got into. They walked along a sidewalk and then went down a flight of stairs to a lower parking lot. As we drove by I saw them standing next to 4 identical semi-trucks. The semi's were all tan color with no company markings. The group also had a Tahoe/Yukon and a black van with a large whip antenna that looked like something out of the A-Team. Guess I'll never know who these guys were but they were definitely military, Feds or possibly PMC. I then wondered what was inside those trailers they were hauling.1 point
Question: "removable base" and "fits any industry standard Micro Mount" So the weaver/picatinny base shown on the bottom of this is what's called "Micro Mount" and is removable? If so, couldn't you add any standard rail riser to it as shown without swapping out the existing base? - OS
Yes sir, you can add the UTG base like folks do with the vortex one, whatever model it is. Now, what height that would put you at I'm not sure And yes, the base is removable via 4 small screws through the bottom, they can use any aimpoint t1 mount excluding the Daniel Defense IIRC. I use the Anerican Defense with one of mine and it is an excellent mount. The primary arms brand QD is good for the money as well1 point

Our dog goes bonkers during fireworks and thunderstorms, the cats ignore them. We give the dog a natural supplement that's suppose to relax her but I don't think it helps much. Looking now into a "real" sedative at the Vet. The other evening we left her outside on a lead and she tore out the cat door on the garage.1 point

It did look like that was pretty uncomfortable to do, I know I wouldn't want to try it. I had a Raging Bull for a while in .454 Cassull, just a novelty gun for me, the only practical use for those is big game hunting and self defense against Smokey and Bullwinkle if you hike in Montana. I shot quite a few 250 to 300 grain loads from it, it sends a pretty good shock wave through your hand, wrist, and elbow. I think if you were to shoot those hand cannons very much you would eventually develop some kind of itis in your joints, Magnumitis. They are definatly not for plinking cans.1 point

I liked the Rockeye so much that I had to try out the TR-2. Just a tad bit smaller (has to be under 3" @ work) and I wanted a serrated blade.1 point

Think of the 300 Blackout as a 30-30 with a bullet that flies better. It has about the same energy but the 300 Blackout uses that energy more efficeintly because of the bullets that are normally loaded.1 point

I'm think that the cop knew full well there is no legal requirement for a citizen to inform them if they have a HCP and/or are armed during a stop. But since there is no consequence for a police officer to lie to a citizen, he may just be trying to get compliance one person at a time with what he thinks is best. He seems like the "respect my authoritah" type of LEO.1 point

Holy crap HD just went from 60 year old technology to cutting line technology! I have nothing against Harleys, it's the majority of the people that ride them that get on my nerves. It's the whole "I'm being an individual, but I'm going to wear the same gay looking pirate leather costume as all the other individuals" mentality. Harley Davidson has become nothing more than a lifestyle of what is best described in the motorcycling communtiy as RUBs, that's "Rich Urban Bikers" they never ride anything that has more than 5,000 miles or is more than 3 years old. Consequently they can't tell you about the last trip they took out west that the bike didn't ride the majoity of miles on a trailer. The trip to Alaska, or South America, because the majority of HD riders can onl tell you about the beer and barbecue joints within 50 miles of their house. I'm not bitter, I just ride a 23 year old Honda ST1100, it's ugly, it's dependable, and I ride the crap out of it, don't care what anyone else thinks.1 point

While I don't have that particular model, I do have 4 different PA optics, they're good to go. Only issue I've had is with their house brand AR riser for the micro dot. The bolt that goes through the rail slot that gets tightened is about 1/8th thick, and apparently of cheap steel. I've broken 2 trying to snug them up, so they just sent me an upgraded QD mount on their dime. Good folks1 point
