  1. Received my trigger today for what I think is my complete build list (minus scope). This will be my first and probably only AR10 so I hope it turns out as good as I think it should. More to come!

  2. Ok so i set up the chrono. this morning and broke out the handi rifle, the 700gr. was a pussycat out of the 18" barrel i could shoot it all day long. it measured in at 1302 fps with 3635 ftlbs. of energy. The 350gr extreme penatrator was not as tame clocking in at 2227 fps. and 3855 ftlbs. I think the next test will be to hang a bone in pork shoulder and shoot it, but don't worry about it being wasted the last one i shot i smoked right after and it was good. I think food tastes better if you shoot it yourself.

  6. My greatest, greatest regret in life (so far...) is that I didn't take one single photo of my time in. Between Northern Ireland, Bosnia & Germany, plus all the regular banter & mateship stuff it would've made a great album. I wasn't in for long, but I'm proud of my stint & wish I had some more mementos.

  12. So i got home on fri. and had a package waiting for me from Underwood ammo. On the left is a 700gr. hard cast lead, the right one is a 350 gr. extreme penetrator s&w500, the middle is a 45 jhp for size reference. i will say the 700gr. is a handful in a 4" but it is so much fun to shoot.

  13. I see the heat sink comes in 6 diff colors, cool. Well now your rifle is not "all" black so you might get left alone. I want to see your rifle complete so hurry up and get some pics of it done.

  14. Congrats! Harley's are a hate love relationship. More to come on that, but these days, you have to ride like everyone doesn't mind running you over or off the road. Mot attention to your surroundings. Cars, kids, other riders, deer and the ever popular dogs. Some dogs hate motorcycles like liberals hate freedom. They will startle you when they shoot out in to the street from a bush looking for your ankle. Take it slow, be on the defensive and take a course, read up and watch videos. Learn from others mistakes. Other than that, it is fun! Enjoy the breeze!

  15. Oh. No. No. No. The day you see me touch or look in someone else's mouth is the day my life is in danger and I'm forced to for work. I just do front office, treatment coordinating and collections. Mouths are geeeeroooooossssssssssss! I would for sure stick with the doc over me any day of the week.

  16. That's funny, I just asked David about that very same feature. He said: "Yeah, they changed the friends system to "Followers" so that you can "follow" a person and receive updates on their activity. I'm not convinced that the follower concept translates all that smoothly to a forum as it's rather Facebook-esque. " I asked because I was about to add someone as a friend and couldn't find that feature anymore. It's too bad that feature is gone. I used to use the friends feature to highlight those I had met in person. (well, only if they were indeed friendly...lol).

  17. Your advice was spot on! Thank you. I had to take the starter off before I could even see the linkage. With an assortment of wobble joints and extensions, I was able to get it loose. We'll not talk about getting it back together, but your suggestion of using swear words was taken to heart. A boat mechanic will be performing this task next time. Whoever designed that makes a man rethink his views on abortion!

  23. I took down my Rebel flag (which you can’t buy on EBAY any more) and peeled the NRA sticker off my front window. I disconnected my home alarm system and quit the candy-ass Neighborhood Watch. I bought two Pakistani flags and put one at each corner of the front yard. Then I purchased the black flag of ISIS (which you CAN buy on EBAY) and ran it up the flag pole. Now the local police, sheriff, FBI, CIA, NSA, Homeland Security, Secret Service and other agencies are all watching my house 24/7. I’ve NEVER felt safer and I’m saving $69.95 a month that ADT used to charge me. Plus, I bought burkas for my wife and I to wear when we shop or travel. Everyone moves out of the way and security can’t pat us down. If they say I'm a male wearing a burka, I just say I'm feeling like a woman today. Hot Damn — Safe at last — Ain’t America great or what?

  26. Well, after consulting with the dentist in the video above, I'm making a change based on improving patient experience. The patient will be able to choose a pint of whatever top shelf Tequila they want. Also, I will ensure that the patients lip is pulled out of the way so they don't have to do it themselves.

  27. My best one on RCBS was, I bought an older Rockchucker that had the straight green pull handle & while I was on the phone getting a new hopper for my $10 Uniflow I mentioned I would like to have the ball type pull handle for the Rockchucker. Yup got one of those to (just because I waned a different one).

  30. Call Nebraska where she was arrested and ask. No need to run a background.

  31. In my eyes not too much has changed. It says all trustees must do a background but we can add and take away trustees any time we want. Remove all trustees but yourself when you submit and add the trustees back when you get your item approved. They cannot dictate who are trustees or when they became trustees. It is still easier for your family to deal with items in a trust than dealing with items in your name. With a trust they just come and get the items. As an individual they must submit a Form 5 and go through the exact same background as you did. The time frame is still going to be long and because you have to do a background check either way why not make it easy on your heirs.

  33. FWIW....I've had great luck with my Sigs. Several 1911s, 226, 229, and a couple 220s. Only had 1 Sig Polymer gun ever, and it was a SigPro in 40 back in the early 2000's. It was perfect. People and products change. That's a hard fact. Not always for the better. But don't give up on the 938. Keep talking with CS till you get a responsive person. As far as the Shield, I love them. Only thing I've noticed is that right out of the box, mine had several FTF and FTE issues with 115 grain rounds. It was suggested I use some 124 for a breakin period. That cured my problems with them. I found I liked the 124 more than the 115 and have continued to use them.

  39. Old trigger holes from how it was imported are tig'd and cleaned up the mag block caused me to redo my right side sear hole so had it tig'd back up, cleaned up and redrilled Sure, I like to be creative. What's left of an AK sear I used to make the new sear for this thing. Biggest pain in the ass was the mag block. Holy crap batman... Close to 6 hours modifying it over and over again. Finally all cleaned up, mag block welded back in. No more rivets holding it in the receiver. The new trigger guard isn't here yet, along with the new stock. So I threw the old stock on and placed a grip next to it. Hoping they come tomorrow.
