Well here they are....my versions of a Karambit. First off is a matched pair or 1/4" thick 1095 carbon steel. The have African Blackwood scales and SS pins. It's about 9 1/4" long with a 4 1/4" blade. It has a pattern etched into the blade but my picture taking apparently sticks cause it's a bit hard to see it. It has thumb and heel jimping and is a stout and dangerous blade. You can see some of the rock pattern ground into the spine as well. They come with black kydex sheaths. Note....there are some lines on a couple of pictures that are not on the blades. Next is a lighter pair made from 3/16" thick 1095 carbon steel with a different handle shape and Bubinga scales and mosaic pins. The over all grip is less that the previous set but still very good. It also has a pattern etched into the blade and slightly less rock pattern grinding on the spine. It does have thumb jimping on the spine as well. It is also 9 1/4" long but the blade is a bit longer at 4 3/4". It also comes with black kydex sheaths.6 points

If anyone in the Knoxville area wants to see a display of 1911's that's sure to make you drop to your knees and shout "Praise be!" go over to SIA (Security Investment Appraisals) on Middlebrook Pike. One of the owners has dedicated an entire room of that very nice shop to his personal collection of milsurp goodies including probably 40 or so old 1911's. I didn't count them all but it is a lot! All in excellent condition. It's really a beautiful sight.3 points

I have succumbed to the siren call of quiet PCP air gunning. I am trading my 200yrd .22lr Cracker Gun (10/22) for Plinker4life's AA S200. Why? Quiet, effective varmint control in suburbia, accurate as heck, made by CZ (I actually can't remember how many CZ .22s I have owned), light weight so can carry on a legit squirrel hunt, has custom moderator (very very very quiet), target trigger that allows me to one-hole this thing at 30 yrds off a bag, can shoot it in my backyard all day long, multi shot, .177 has less collateral damage potential, easy to pump up with hand pump.3 points

Ken, as I briefly read thru this thread it came across loud and clear that you have a lot of disdain for the LEO community, I don't know why, and don't really care, but that is the message you are putting out. What you need to realize is that while a few in this group might have similar feelings to you, the majority of the group is extremely supportive of law enforcement officers and their willingness to deal with (on our behalf) the societal scum, and idiots like the guys in the video. I respect LEO's just like I respect our military personnel. They get up everyday, kit up, and walk out the door to face whatever this jacked up world is going to throw at them, and they do it for relatively little pay, and with an increasing lack of support at all levels. Are there bad apples in the group, sure.....just like there is in everything (to include TGO). But to minimize or disrespect what the force does as a whole based on a few bad apples, or to treat the guys walking the streets with disrespect because you don't agree with the law of the land is crap. If you want the laws/policies changed you have to come at it from a smarter angle than terrorizing the sheep and antagonizing the sheepdogs.3 points

You can probably bet that when this crew starts tossing baggage overboard, she'll be at the top of the list... Sometimes there's a logic to telling outright lies. It's a test to see who goes along and who cries foul. You make a list and know who'll play ball when you really start implementing your plans.2 points

Hey, a firecracker placed carefully in the proper place could save your life. Good luck with that, any firearm fired in my direction is enough to make me; first take cover and then return fire. I don't care what caliber I have with me, they all beat rocks.1 point

Not one thing. Nicely is a great person, and I like him personally, Ramsey will not pull for this to pass, and if anyone does not think he is still pulling strings, they have soft spots in their head. With Lundberg on Judiciary, does anyone expect any firearms bills to get a fair shake? Beth is the one who killed it last year, she is still in power...1 point

Tanfo is just 2 Glocks. The CZ Custom Accu-Shadow is 3-4 Glocks. Your wallet thanks me more for the Tanfo than the CZ. All you had to do was call me. I have a bunch of CZs that need a new home. Even would have told you the parts needed to make it even more smooth.1 point

You hit the nail right on the head with that. When folks like these idiots choose this method of exerting their 2A rights, I suspect they are just wanting to be the center of attention for selfish reasons. If they really had pro-2A intentions in mind they'd not cast such a bad light on an the cause they claim to support. NOTHING good seems to come from the kind of attention they bring to gun rights efforts. If any legislative actions occur or any public opinions are created/changed as a result of their actions, they will not be positive.1 point

Ya know, the video probaby would have been more entertaining if there would have been a K9 unit present What's wrong with people? I guess it's not illegal to go to the zoo and jump in the lion's cage with a steak hanging around your neck either, but somewhere common sense should prevail. I have no sympathy or respect for attention seekers that try to simply push a bad situation with an open carry stunt. Those guys charged in there looking for trouble, and I think they're lucky it ended well.1 point

That's a beautiful Hardballer Longslide, I had a Backup .380 years ago but sold it. The little tang on the mag release drove me crazy constantly ejecting.1 point

I carried a 22lr loaded with the 60 grain Aguila SSS rounds as my last resort pistol. Even out of a 2" barrel they will penetrate ~8" in gel and tumble along the way. It was not the best thing to carry but it is way better than a pointy stick or club.1 point

From what I've heard from others, check out the Suarez triggers. His stuff is top quality and reasonably priced compared to others. https://suarezinternational.com/1 point

The trigger on my Block20 is ok but not great. I thought about getting a Pyramid trigger from the block store to drop in or a different connector at the least. I love he gun though. I'm acctually a little hesitant to change it because I can shoot it so well, but it is a little "spongy" too. I don't know of anyone to recommend in your area though.1 point

If you bid on that one, you might want to bid on this one if it stays cheap. It is in the same place and I bet you could work out a trade with someone. 220 lbs (approx.) Fired 300 Win Mag brass http://www.govliquidation.com/auction/view?auctionId=11849721 More 5.56 too http://www.govliquidation.com/auction/view?auctionId=11849508&convertTo=USD There is also .50 and 7.62 lots Or you could just try and reload these. lol http://www.govliquidation.com/auction/view?auctionId=11849581&convertTo=USD or these http://www.govliquidation.com/auction/view?auctionId=11872219&convertTo=USD Man I wish I could pick up some of these. I would need a tumbler the size of a concrete truck though. lol1 point

Thanks. Just put that together one day on a whim. Found a scrap piece of wood the same thickness of magazine. Traced a mag out on it and cut it out with a jig saw. Used a dremel to smooth all the edges till it fit into a 1911. Then mounted it on a piece of extra 2x4 and presto...I had a 1911 holder. Works pretty good and was cheap and fun to make.1 point

Back in October I once again got an 03FFL. Aside from a lack of funds, I really don't have anything in the must have bucket list column. Living dangerously, Iv been known to browse the GB C&R listings on occasion (sorta like having unprotected sex). Well, who can resist the dream world of a Luger holding at $500? I clicked on it. Now every one knows that Luger will close at something that wont be anywhere near the 5 bones it had 5 days out from the gavel. But I clicked on it anyway. Here is the specimen in question.... This particular Luger is a 1906 model that was produced as a 5000 gun contract for the Brazilian Gov. This one is more than likely made in 1908 or early 1909. Its all original & matching numbers with a mint bore. This condition is rather about as good as it gets since these guns saw hard service. Now all that is more or less bla bla bla to me since I never wanted anything too nice to shoot and I figured Id run into a rough mix master someday to play with but here is the kicker. Back in Feb of 88 when I was graduating from the state Corrections academy, I watched them call us up front for our badge presentation one by one. All the guys were getting these brand new 14-1500 numbered bright gold badges, then they called me up there and they hand me this badge in a new case but it didn't look like all the others, mine had the bright gold rubbed off all the high spots and the rest was more like a dull silver gold and the number on it was 1259. Looking at it, I thought now that's a coincidence... if you add the first two numbers together, you get my birth day and the 59 is my birth year! That Badge served me well over the 25+ years I had it. In all that time, my knees and elbows never had to try n dent a concrete floor! Being a might bit superstitious, now you know..... the rest of the story. Closing at $1150 + 25 to ship C&R direct, I think I got a hell of a deal.1 point
