If at all possible, I think everyone should try to make the Tulsa gun show sometime in their life (4200 tables). They're twice a year, April and November. They weren't this big when I lived around there but they were still huge! From their page: Something to think about: If all our tables (2800 8ft. and 1300 6ft.) were placed end to end they would stretch 5.7 miles! If you spend the whole 18 hours we are open to the public and divide that by 4,200 tables, You will have 15.4 seconds to look at each table. April 7 & 8, 2018 Nov. 10 & 11, 2018 April 6 & 7, 2019 Nov. 9 & 10, 2019 April 4 & 5, 2020 Nov. 14 & 15, 2020 April 10 & 11, 2021 Nov. 13 & 14, 2021 April 2 & 3, 2022 Nov. 12 & 13, 2022 April 1 & 2, 2023 Nov. 11 & 12, 2023 http://www.tulsaarmsshow.com/home.html2 points

In Illinois so are supposed the check their FOID status. https://www.ispfsb.com/Public/Firearms/FOID/PersonToPersonFirearmTransfer.aspx Of course there is no logic or reason to the debate. If you have money, someone will sell you a gun no matter what state you are in or where you are from. Most narcotics are a felony to sell. But it’s obviously not hard to find a seller.2 points

I hate a thief and honestly thievery should hold some of the stiffest sentences to "nip it in the bud" because most career criminals start out with petty thefts. Hope he gets those sentimental items back.1 point

I think across all types of items it is because marketing people are using Black Friday more as a gimmick than a sale. Multiple times in the last few years I have bought things at the same or lower than the Black Friday price before the day. Unfortunately a lot of the buying public fall for it. If more people really looked around they would pressure companies into really cutting prices. I understand the business side too. They have costs, but these brick and mortar stores are going to have to be aggressive to keep up. Also, the old trick of having 3 of the item EVERYONE wants at a super low price is not a solution. That used to be their way to set good deals, but minimize loss. That just ends up with an angry mob of people who all waited hours to get the new it thing and are turned away. I find myself buying less and less on Black Friday each year. Really I only buy things for gifts that are really on sale. I also only do it online. I can't stand dealing with the mob unless I have to any more.1 point

Ha! Thanks but not sure if I could do it again, now. That was from 2009, if I recall correctly, and the past eight years have taken their toll on both my eyesight and the steadiness of my hands - plus I think the stars were just aligned right that day or something. I hope to make it back down to Spring Creek one of these days, though, so maybe I will try it just to see.1 point

I've been hunting with shotguns my entire life, but never owned nor shot a 16 gauge. Recently, I obtained a Remington 1100 in 16 gauge and would like to know where I can buy a set of RemChokes for it. I would be most interested in a three tube set in Full, Modified, and Improved Cylinder choke. I'm interested in shooting my new to me gun, and called Remington. I was told that they no longer made the RemChoke tubes for the 16 gauge. I've heard that they are now making the 870 pump in 16 gauge, with RemChoke barrels. I would think that these choke tubes should also fit the 1100 16 gauge barrels also. Can anyone point me in the right direction to obtain a set of 16 gauge RemChoke tubes for my Remington 1100? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.1 point

I will be at the game today. I am torn on the issue. I am a fan and will decide at the end of the year if I sell my psl’s or not. I think both sides have over-reacted overall. I have no issue with protest, just their choice of time, meaning during the anthem. I think there are plenty of players who respect the military. It’s nice to be totally and completely idiologic, but if you ever want to leave the house and eat, you can’t be. At this point, it is salute to Service week. I am going to salute those who Serve and hopefully see a good game. I am tired of having to be pissed of by everything. I choose to do what I like and ignore as much as possible the things I don’t agree with. Life’s to short to always be looking at the negatives.1 point

Just a note, PSA ran a deal for 12 new 50cal cans, shipped for $89.95 a couple of months ago. Since it's November, you might keep an eye for something similar from them again soon ...1 point

Fairview Chief of Police. He's easy to get along with, but he smokes more weed than you could haul in a dump truck. For the popo's to choose such an odd ball caliber is no real surprise. I know a couple cops out here and I am darn glad they are on the force and glad to know them. Good cops. There's a few out here who feel the need to whip it out regularly and compare lengths.1 point

Makes you wonder why we're getting raped for $600. But, other manufacturers could most likely match, or beat that price as well.1 point

I read a Gaston Glock interview sometime ago. Wish I had the link. If I remember correctly, Glock's contract price on bulk pistols was under $80 a piece for LE and Glock was still making about $25 on each pistol. Kinda tough to compete with that.1 point
