Doing a safe clean out. I have a Mossberg and Sons Inc .22 lr Model 151 M (B) made in New Haven Connecticut. Has a walnut stock, iron sights, and rifle sling. Holds 15+1 with a rear loading pipe magazine. It's a unique style. Shoots great and very accurate. Due to its age, it has a couple dings here and there, but still is a great looking rifle. I hate to see it go, but I really need the space to make room for new toys. Wife won't let me buy another safe. Asking $225.00 Located in Maryville, TN.2 points

Doing a safe clean out. I have a single shot, lever action breakdown, 20 gauge shotgun. It's an M-66 Super Single with a 3" chamber. Manufactured by Ithaca Gun Co. In New York. Made in America. Has typical sight bead up front, rubber butt pad, and it shoots good. I've taken many squirrels home with this over the years. I hate to see it go, but I need the space. Asking $200 Located in Maryville, TN2 points

My late best friend was an avid C&R collector. He had about a dozen SKSs, at least 8-10 Mosin Nagants and a bunch of other Mil-surp weapons. He also kept good records. Including what he had paid for each. The most he ever paid for any of them was $100 and that was for a new in factory wrap SKS. When he passed, I was put in charge of disposing of his collection. I sold all of them for 3-4 times what he had paid. They sold quick because I still had them priced a fair bit below the standard pricing at the time. Today's prices are even higher. We went to a gunshow with just over 100 guns. We came home with 11 and a huge profit.2 points

Been an ongoing issue since the pistol came out. Several lawsuits have been successful, most dismissed. Sig issued a recall. Bad trigger made worse. Now they changed owner’s manual to carry with unloaded chamber. Several trainers forbid 320 use in class.1 point

Measure your length and with. Go to a Pawn shop that has musical equipment. Get a nice padded,Velcro lined Violin case. Do any cutting to fit. Install Velcro or cut a piece of foam if you want. They normally come in two lengths,so you can add a mag or two. The + is you can carry it into hotel or Starbucks because they normally have Yamaha or something printed on them. In $10 to $25 dollar range or whatever you can offer in cash.1 point

Ed... We've got two of em ( El Malo II ). They are handsome. They are better built than the gen 3 Colts ( we have several ). I've not handled the GW IIs, but I think they will be just like the El Malo. Slick finish, deep blue, beveled cylinders ( an old time touch ), pretty good chemical case. The timing and carry up is just right. I' m a big fan of the Piettas. leroy....1 point

I’ve had a Bodyguard 2.0 for a couple of months now. I love it. It’s the easiest gun to carry I’ve ever had and I still get a full grip even with the 10 round magazine. It’s a little gun so it’s not going to be a target pistol, but you can legitimately aim shots with it and hit what you’re trying to hit. And it’s a very soft shooter for being so small.1 point

I have a Vertx bag for my 300 blackout AR and it is an excellent product.1 point

Unfluted cylinders are badass but not the norm and finding someone who would actually want to do that is for sure a long shot.1 point

The hulls I looked at that had been expanded closed up some. Think I'll grind the shaft of the align pin so it will go deeper into the hull. Expand the crimped neck a bit more, let sit on the pin longer to see what happens. See if I can rig up something on my Lee O frame. Hands are still sore from the other night. Grandson and I went pawn shop hunting yesterday. Byhalia, Holly Springs with no luck. New Albany pawn shop had a Stevens Mod 940A, 410, 3" chamber, choke not on barrel, stock had been shortened, no butt plate, $120 on the tag. I found a bulge 2" from end of barrel, most likely from a slug. I said $60 for it's shape, got it for $70. Full choke, Springfield Savage Stevens by internet search.1 point

30 years ago I bought a SKS in great condition for $99. And a Mosin for not much more than that. I guess I can just reflect back on the "good ole days."1 point

I went to the auction house to pick up my stuff, searched Senatobia for 3 pawn shops, closed or moved. Went to Batesville, one pawn shop had closed. Batesville gun & pawn had a few 410's, a double in wood, pumps and semis in camo, starting price $550. I ate some of my lunch and gagged. The trip home wasn't fun. I didn't do the round trip to other cities or to Tupelo. Looked at a few more Utube videos on reloading shotshells. On one he was using a 1/8" pipe nipple for a decapping guide. Place it in the hull, put decapping pin in pipe and strike with hammer. I've broke a few pins in the past and saved them for later so I ground one down some. I used a 1/2" nut to sit the hull on and drove the spent primer into. Will look into making something else, let the primer flow into a catch pan or something. (Thinking: a 3/8 or 7/16" hole in a piece of 12 gauge metal and mount on a block of wood. Drill a 1/2" hole in the block, flare a piece of copper tubing and place in the hole before mounting the 12 gauge metal. Rubber or plastic tubing placed on the copper so spent primers will travel to a pan.) On one video he drilled a washer to the right size and used it as a sizing ring. Place the washer on the hull, sit the hull in a 3/8" nipple and strike the head stamp to drive it down. What size drill bit? On another video the guy used a Mec sizing ring for that job. Mec price $20 with shipping. I have a spiral sanding kit so I drilled a 3/8" washer a bit bigger. Used a new primed hull for the right size hole. Later I found out it a 12m drill bit, $10 on amazon. One can search for a cheaper deal but I'm good for now. I'd rather spend time making things I can use instead of buying them. Spend time being busy instead of watching tv or things I don't really care about. I do spend a lot of time on the laptop, about half is searching for things I want or can do. I got everything set up on my patio yesterday. A good patio chair. The worktable was a bucket with a stack of lumber on top. I decapped and sized 253 410 hulls in about 45 minutes. Will see how to remove the crimped necks without expanding them. I don't really want to cut them shorter.1 point

This gun makes absolutely no sense. Until now, “Shadow” meant no firing pin safety and by default, a better trigger. So now CZ makes a Shadow that isn’t a Shadow. The firing pin safety is not really necessary unless you carry hammer down instead of half cock, which only an idiot would do. BUT if you have to have a firing pin safety and want a decocker, the P-01 is less than half the price of this gimmick.1 point

Magnifiers behind dots are OK but not ideal. I run a Vortex Razr 1x6x24 with a Holosun 508T on an offset mount on one of my rifles. I like that setup better. The LPVO is great for longer, precision shots, and I can cant the rifle slightly and peep through the 508T for faster shooting up close.1 point

Along with getting rid of the January private property doe hunt, they also eliminated the need to purchase a type 94 permit to kill 3 does a day the rest of the season. I’ll take that trade. Others may disagree.1 point

I recommend you stick to proven level 1 (Trapdoor) loads. They aren't that bad to shoot. Trying to make light loads in big cartridge cases can lead to problems you don't want. Namely erratic velocities and possibly even detonation. The .45-70 was never intended to be a plinker. Don't try to make it one.1 point

Why on earth chase an expected problem? My head hurts enough without all that.1 point

There isn't any way I could imagine the risk of owning an illegal machine gun would pay off. While I don't personally feel this way, I imagine our legal system treats illegal machine gun ownership as a very serious crime, ensuring jail time and making you un-employable when you get out. I also like what Dave said about how much it costs to shoot one. If I could legally buy an AR without paying extra that could switch to three shot bursts I would get it. I've always said I wanted to shoot a machine gun. Now, they rent them at Nashville Armory. I could splurge one day and rent one, yet I just don't find myself interested.1 point

I’m kinda surprised that I see many stories of how you can buy parts or skirt the law on machine guns by people that would wear out Google on any other law. I have friends that know my machining skills; they have asked if I could convert an AR15 to fully automatic. My answer is “yes”. When they ask why I don’t do it my answer is “Prison”. However, I have no desire to own a fully auto weapon; I can turn cash into empty brass fast enough without one. And I sure don’t want the expense of defending myself in court if I win, or going to prison if I lose. I can’t think of anything I need or want that I would pay the government for the privilege to own; the costs are ridiculous. I feel that someday suppressors may be legal to buy without the Feds involvement. If that happens the price will drop to where it should be.1 point
