  2. Absolutely disgusting. On the other hand, Woods and Doherty disobeyed direct orders and went in knowing there was not going to be any backup coming. These two men are the epitome of American Excellence

  5. I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you From the movie Taken

  6. What happened to the "dislike" button? I didn't care for Jimmy Carter, I didn't care for Bill Clinton... but I have absolutely NO doubt that they loved America. Same for Mitt Romney. Now Obama on the other hand, I am convinced by his words and actions that he hates America...with a vengeance. He thinks like an America-hating outsider. That may tell us something.

  7. If you peel away the first layer of this comical fiction, you'll find something twice as disturbing. Which frightens you more: The incompetence of this administration or the sheer raw stupidity of the Amerikan people who elected them?

  8. I don't know about "now", I think they've been back-stabbing our men and women in uniform since day 1. They've always had a disdain for those who serve and have called them names like the dregs of society and other such nonsense. Anyone who speaks against those who serve has earned MY disdain.

  10. I didn't mean to imply that the faults belong only to Fox news, all that I mentioned as well as others (Levin, Hanity, Valentine) have faults.I think Fox is the only network that tries to be what all the new networks used to try and be 30 or 40 years ago but the networks weren't perfect then nor is Fox perfect now.

  11. Anyone see the similarities between 1860 and today? Northern aggression, a government out of control, a Nanney state, population control, government mistrust? As a nation we have become divided between two camps. Those that want the government to provide for their every need (wealth redistribution), and those that want to keep and earn what they have.

  13. An animal should not be shot with ANYTHING that cannot humanely kill it. It should not matter what the animal is or whether it is wild or not. I understand killing animals that must be killed but if it must be done it must be as humane as possible. Dolomite

  16. How about the spca go after the real criminals that abandon and neglect their dogs. I have two happy healthy spoiled dogs at home. I am not a dog hater. But if I can't feed my dogs outside because the stray won't leave then they are deffinitely a nuisance.

  17. I agree with all the laws in the link and haven't broken any of them. No where on your link does it refer to animals that are obviously abandoned or strays. In my opinion strays fall into the category of feral or nuisance animals. Coyotes, a cousin to a dog is considered a nuisance animal, and there is a year round open season on them. What's the difference in a coyote or stray dogs, they will both form packs, breed, and kill livestock, pets and wild game species like deer. In my opinion there is no difference.

  22. Anyone watching? Pretty good game last night. The Giants pitching is just dominant, four runs given up in the last five games. But Doug Fister of the Tigers is my new hero. He takes a line drive off the head, and it looked absolutely frightening, but he stays in the game and retires 12 in a row after that, ends up pitching six innings of one-run ball. It looked awful when he was hit, but I guess it wasn't that bad. Hope he doesn't suffer any after effects. On the mound the trainer was asking him, "What city are you in?," "What game is it?" Tim McCarver needs to just go away. He said pitchers should wear helmets now, like the batters. If you're going to do that, might as well not even call it baseball. They've already emasculated the game enough, with pitchers not being allowed to throw inside anymore. I understand safety, but at some point you have to say enough is enough. There's a certain risk you just have to accept. If you don't like it, don't play the game. So is anyone watching? Anyone care? I still think Detroit can get back in this series.

  25. I spent my summers working on my grandfather's ranch. We had issues with wild dogs and coyotes all the time. We trapped what we could and handed them over to animal control. I shot a few that were brazen enough to take chickens in the daytime. There was an instance of them trying to take down a bull as well where my grandpa took a few of them out. I have no issues putting them down if they are a nuisance or a danger, but I don't feel good about it and I certainly do not wish suffering on the animal.

  26. I did some checking. Our two "election obersevers" in Nashville are from France and Armenia. That's rich! It's a sad day when we have someone "checking" our polls, and yet the elections in Venezuela are called the "freest and fairest elections in the world." Seriously. Some folks need to check the chemical content of their breakfast cereal.

  30. Expect even worse this time. An interesting article - 'Flipping the White House' goes inside complex process of transitioning from one President to the next Read more: http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2012/10/26/flipping-white-house-goes-inside-complex-process-transitioning-from-one/?intcmp=features#ixzz2AQAkYHdP As I recall, traditionally the incoming President and spouse are supposed to have a little meet & greet and tea with the exiting President and spouse, however 0bama declined to do so. Not his first, but one of many of his breaks with Presdential tradition. The first I believe was his use of a made up "seal" of the President Elect for use on his podium during press conferences prior to his inauguration. The hubris...the pomposity...the narcissism... It was funny the day that he was giving a speech and it fell off of the podium. I'm sure he had someone executed for embarrassing him when that happened.

  31. I can which is sad. Our nation desperately needs news organizations that are willing to put bias aside (as much as in humanly possible) and actually REPORT the NEWS and will follow the truth no matter where it leads...we need that regardless of what party is in power or who is in the White House and for many years now, we just don't have that. Say what you want about "personalities" but if not for the likes of Beck and Limbaugh and Fox News (even with all their faults), we would have lost this republic a long time ago. What Obama did (or more to the point, didn't do) with regards to our Ambassador and the brave men who died trying to help fellow Americans should have Obama in front of firing squad rather than having a chance at re-election.

  32. Let's be honest; we (our entire country) would probably be far better off if there were no such thing as television; at least as an entertainment device. It reminds me of a quote from the Arnold Schwarzeneggar movie The Running Man...The game show host, Damon Killian (Richard Dawson's character) said... Don't get me wrong, there are shows I love to watch (or have loved to watch) and I know that TV can do good things (inform, educate, enlighten, etc.) but on the whole, I think we would all be better people if we turned off the TV a lot more than we do and read a books a lot more often than we do...there is a reason why the most successful people in life tend to be readers! As Thomas Jefferson said (and this is hanging in my library)..."I cannot live without books".

  34. It is not bravado. If someone is on my property, without a reason or authority to be here, they will be met with an overwhelming amount of force to remove them from my property. Then they will find themselves being arrested. I can escalate to whatever means I feel is needed, up to but not including deadly force, to remove a trespasser from my property. It is also my choice how much force is needed, I ask them to leave and if they refuse I can continue to ask or I can grab them and physically remove them. And if they resist in any way they might find themselves going to the hospital enroute the jail. And I will be in the right if I do. I do not have to call the cops and wait for them to remove someone. If someone is on my property, without the authority to be there, and they use a firearm or other weapon to kill my dog they will be shot. And if they survive they will be arrested. I don't care if my dog is chewing their throat out they have NO right to protect themselves if they are on my property illegally. I can also dictate what guests use to protect themselves while on my property. If a person is a guest or here legally and my dog attacks the guest can stop that attack using any means they want. These rules also apply to my cats. Dolomite

  36. All three of those are great examples of some of the many legitimate issues with our current president, but at least IMO still a far cry away from a declaration of supreme dictatorship, or American concentration camps, or a secret army of DHS agents armed with hollow point handgun calibers with enough ammo to expend two shots for every citizen, canceling elections or any of the other ridiculous notions I've heard over the last twelve years. Have his past actions been concerning? Yes, very. Do I find his actions immoral, impractable and illegal? You bet. Do I think that means I need to worry about Obamas DHS army coming to confiscate my weapons or throw me into a FEMA camp? Nope. I've got enough real and current issues that are actually happening to keep my mind occupied for some time.

  38. With Tennessee's voter I.D. law they may have a few observers in Nashville on election day, I wish I knew where they would be, it would be fun to get a few people together and organize a citizens, U.N. observer observers group, of course staying within the law to make sure they follow our laws with plenty of video recording.

  40. Ok, just to clarify, I'm not wearing a tinfoil hat... but you can kinda understand where people like this are coming from.... Our President has already made himself a dictator who is willing to throw the law out the window when it suits him... Here are a couple examples: 1. Executive order amnesty for illegal immigrants - aka Dream act light 2. Letter telling businesses to disregard the WARN Act, even though it and the budget cuts are the law of the land. 3. Issuing kill orders on American citizens Now just how crazy does somebody have to be to think the current President might do whatever it takes to stay in power? I don't think Obama is going to suspend the elections, or run everybody into FEMA camps... but I can see how somebody who is of sound mind might be worried about the length this president is willing to go to stay in power. Clearly after Libya, flat out lying to the American public isn't a line to far.

  42. TN has a state leash law. Dogs are not permitted to run "at large", therefore the owner of the dog that comes out after you has already broken the law. If it was just me walking my dog, I'd react closer to DaveTN's posts. If my kids were involved, I grease that dog without a 2nd thought.

  43. It is the responsibility of the dog owner to make sure their dogs are contained to their property… period. And if the dog is off their property and ends up dead; it’s their fault. I’m a dog lover and I would never kill a dog because he came running up to me, or because a neighbor lets their dog get out. However if a dog was attacking me I have no qualms about killing it. I would probably wait long enough that if I judged its intentions wrong I would get bit before I killed it. However; the owner of the dog is going to pay dearly if I get bit on property I have a right to be on.
