2015 Ram 1500 4x4. First new vehicle I've ever purchased...everything else has always been slightly used "15,000 miles or less". Absolutely love it so far and I'm officially ready for some snow lol Traded in my white one for the black one. The 8 speed transmission is making a pretty huge difference so far because my average MPG has gone up by about 6-7mpg without me changing anything about my driving. I did drive an ecodiesel and I didnt like it...lacked power compared to the Hemi's I've owned in the past.4 points

This is your back to basics camp knife made from 5/32" 1095 carbon steel. It has spalted tamerind scales with SS pins and lanyard hole and file work on the spine. The blade is 5" long and the OAL is about 10 1/4". And yes...that's a hamon you see on the blade. This is an experimental piece on my part. I much to learn about heat treating and hamon's but am very happy with this first attempt. It will be used by me as a test blade so it will see quite a bit of use.4 points

Not only was this an act of compassion but, IMO, it was good police work. She saw an unknown homeless person in a town where she knows most everyone and, instead of rolling up and starting to 'interrogate' him, she bought him breakfast and listened to his story - probably getting him to drop his guard and finding out more than she would have using the former method. Also, I would bet that such previous acts of kindness would go a long way to getting people to help her if she needs to find out information 'from the street' to help solve or prevent crime. Perhaps if this man - who is new to the town and likely doesn't know anyone - sees something that the police need to know about, he now has a friendly and possibly at least somewhat trusted contact on the police force to whom he knows he can safely talk. To me, being a known, friendly face who has the trust of her community is a much better way to do her job than acting like an occupying, military force.4 points

Personally, I love broccoli. It's an elusive prey, however. Fond of taking shelter in cool wet places that are well-lit and crowded, broccoli knows a would-be hunter will not be able to take a clean shot. The easiest way to capture this prey, is to snatch it up, smother it with a plastic bag, and haul it out of it's den in a metal cart along with some its friends, like a ribeye steak and a baking potato. Mornin Y'all, Tennessee native, moved the family back home this year after a few years stationed at FT Carson, CO. But it snows in May there and I'm done with that...back to humidity you can cut with a knife for this guy. A friend of mine told me about this site so I figured I needed to get plugged back in with my Tennessee lead slingers. I like shooting black rifles and pistols, I'm a Class III whore (I guess I enjoy the government telling me to give them money and I have to wait a hundred days for something I already paid for), and I'm petitioning Hoppes to make a #9 cologne (patent pending). On to the forum. That is all.3 points

You got that right. Not much damage to me but his explorer was not drivable. Sorry I missed the get together.3 points

After having the stamp for almost a year, I finally, FINALLY got my first sbr build done. I got derailed from this build several times by house renovations and various other life events. All I need now is a CMT bcg. I forgot to put the charging handle in the rifle before I took the pictures as well. Oh well, you guys get the idea. As you can see, this is my TGO lower set that we have had for what, almost 2 years now? Parts used are: VLTOR imod stock kit CMMG lower build kit w/o fcg Geissele sd3g trigger Tango down bg-17 grip (love it) SLR Rifleworks 10" solo ultra lite hg SLR Rifleworks sentry 7 adjustable gas block Rainier Arms 10.5" select 5.56 barrel Eotech xps2 Im sure some of you notice the YHM Phantom QD muzzle brake on the end of the barrel. Just a hint of things to come shortly! Needless to say I cant WAIT to shoot it and get the gas block tuned. This thing should run like a sewing machine. Anyways on to the pics. Sorry for the lack luster cell phone pics. Im by no means a photographer! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

Funny, I was thinking the same thing on the way out the door. I only got to talk to half the people there. I also felt bad about that. Silver lining: at least I didn't have to listen to Ted rant about anarchy all night. LOL just kidding, buddy. I swear. Just had had to say that, since you wore the tshirt and all.2 points

So me coming was apparently fated not to happen. I was bobtail in the truck on 24 headed into town from the Boro when the rain hit. I clicked on my wipers and my driver side wiper just flew off the damn truck. I pull over into the breakdown lane and start fighting with the passenger side blade and can't get a good reach on it. I open up the hood so I can get a better angle. I get the blade off and as I come around the front of the truck I run straight into the fender mirror and gash my forehead open. At that point I was soaked, bloody and running out of off duty driving hours.2 points

I figure with there being so many news articles lately about who the police have shot this time, something a little different would be nice. Found this one on my news page this morning: http://www.today.com/news/police-officer-shares-meal-homeless-man-nobody-wants-eat-alone-t34466 Not surprising, it wasn't a major headline... or even in the main body of the page. Was kind'a tucked off over in the sidebar, with nothing but the caption. Anyway, enjoy a "good cop" story for a change. J.2 points

You're on a gun forum, the way to fix old broken stuff is to shoot it and post a video!2 points

You don't have to. But it's a good idea. It removes possible delays and confusion of you try to file any future buys or transfers.2 points

I bought a 10mm Fusion Firearms frameset a couple of years ago with the intention of building it myself. I started buying some of the parts, bought the Jerry Kuhnhausen shop manual, and had a solid plan in my head. Flash forward to last month when the frame is still sitting untouched in my safe. I decided the easiest thing to do would be to throw some money at the problem so I took it to Predator Customs along with the parts I'd already bought and asked them to build it for me. I picked it up today and couldn't be any happier. All of the non-Fusion parts are either Cylinder & Slide or Ed Brown. The color is called Tungsten Gray and it looks absolutely incredible in the sun.1 point

I went with a Streamlight TLR-H1, and I'm currently looking for a G33 to go behind my XPS-2, and as for the Geissele trigger, perhaps after I pay for my truck insurance first lol1 point

Other option is Toth Tool, I've heard good things about them. I'm personally looking at buying some of their stuff to finish my build that's been sitting in partially completed form for a while now.1 point

Only thing to point out about the Nodak is that you will have to drill out your front trunnion rivet holes. That's not an issue though.1 point

Pardon them? No. Put their asses to work in some capacity in a wage earning job - inside the prison if necessary (unless I am mistaken Brushy Mountain had an on-site program where the inmates made furniture) and make them pay for their own expenses just like those of us who aren't criminals have to do? Yes.1 point

I have always had a problem with TFA's language. 99% of this message is 100% spot on and problem free. But when you call someone feckless, embarrassing, and a disgrace, you put that person on the defensive and cause them to dig in their heels. That is the exact opposite of what we need. A better approach might have been to point out that the Tennessee State Constitution allows for the legislature "to regulate the wearing of arms with a view to prevent crime," and then pointing out that none of our regulations actually do that. Demonstrate that despite our gun laws getting more and more permissive we do not see an increase in crime, even as the areas in which we are allowed to carry grows and grows. There are plenty of data out there that support a pro-gun position, so you really don't need to resort to the tired old gun control tactic of name calling to get your point across. I think we have all seen that it never has the desired effect. Just my $0.02.1 point
