I know it's going to be some work but I'm happy to help you guys out and finally put some faces to a few more names ;o) I've already spoken to a few folks today about these but those who will be using me. I'd like to kindly ask that at some point you PM or email me your contact info and what you ordered and I'll keep a master list. If you ordered uppers or other parts I believe the plan is to ship everything to the FFL so the list will be something I do to just assure items get tagged properly when they arrive. Thanks guys, looking forward to meeting you all!3 points

Ran across this on another site, thought you might get a kick out of. :D For those that don't know about history ... Here is a condensed version: Humans originally existed as members of small bands of nomadic hunters/gatherers. They lived on deer in the mountains during the summer and would go to the coast and live on fish and lobster in the winter. The two most important events in all of history were the invention of beer and the invention of the wheel. The wheel was invented to get man to the beer. These were the foundation of modern civilization and together were the catalyst for the splitting of humanity into two distinct subgroups: 1 . Liberals 2. Conservatives. Once beer was discovered, it required grain and that was the beginning of agriculture. Neither the glass bottle nor aluminum can were invented yet, so while our early humans were sitting around waiting for them to be invented, they just stayed close to the brewery. That's how villages were formed. Some men spent their days tracking and killing animals to BBQ at night while they were drinking beer. This was the beginning of what is known as the Conservative movement... Other men who were weaker and less skilled at hunting learned to live off the conservatives by showing up for the nightly BBQ's and doing the sewing, fetching, and hair dressing. This was the beginning of the Liberal movement. Some of these liberal men eventually evolved into women. They became known as girlie-men. Some noteworthy liberal achievements include the domestication of cats, the invention of group therapy, group hugs, and the concept of Democratic voting to decide how to divide the meat and beer that conservatives provided. Over the years conservatives came to be symbolized by the largest, most powerful land animal on earth, the elephant. Liberals are symbolized by the jackass for obvious reasons. Modern liberals like imported beer (with lime added), but most prefer white wine or imported bottled water. They eat raw fish but like their beef well done. Sushi, tofu, and French food are standard liberal fare.. Another interesting evolutionary side note: most of their women have higher testosterone levels than their men. Most social workers, personal injury attorneys, journalists, dreamers in Hollywood and group therapists are liberals. Liberals invented the designated hitter rule because it wasn't fair to make the pitcher also bat. Conservatives drink domestic beer, mostly Bud or Miller. They eat red meat and still provide for their women. Conservatives are big game hunters, rodeo cowboys, lumberjacks, construction workers, firemen, medical doctors, police officers, engineers, corporate executives, athletes, members of the military, airline pilots and generally anyone who works productively. Conservatives who own companies hire other conservatives who want to work for a living. Liberals produce little or nothing. They like to govern the producers and decide what to do with the production. Liberals believe Europeans are more enlightened than Americans. That is why most of the liberals remained in Europe when conservatives were coming to America . They crept in after the Wild West was tamed and created a business of trying to get more for nothing. No big deal to me. It's designed to piss off the conservative/opposing side of the subgroups and it makes no sense at all on why our Veterans and Military should be affected at all. Or National Parks for that matter, surely this cost is a small fraction of what they waste. I read somewhere that 93% of the EPA is "non-essential", bet the same is true for the IRS and any number of government agencies. It's all for show and political games. The first thing to cut should be the salaries of all the dickheads responsible and the last thing should be our Military.2 points

I depend on tourism from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park for my income. Needless to say it is affecting me financially. I do have to agree with Caster though. I'll go wait tabes if I have to, it pisses me off that people, myself included, can no longer use the park but we do need to quit coddling this thing and let it die. If this government were a human being on life support any person with a shred of compassion would have pulled the plug long ago.2 points

It hasn't affected me yet, but if they'll go ahead and close the IRS already, I can afford more ammo.2 points

It affected me. I've had to endure copious amounts of pointless bitchin'. It's the only thing 99.7 super talk radio talks about. It's just like wheni was a kid and the president was on. Is on every channel! I'm to the point where I really don't care if the power company goes out there and pulls the meter at the White House and the bank ( of china no less!!!) puts a lock on the door. Screw em. Weak animals make meals for the strong. I'll be glad when we as a people stop sheltering this thing and put it down so we can restart/rebuild and get back to some semblance of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. There will never be happiness with the current regime who take STEAL from me because I decided I need to work for what's mine and give it to some lazy ghetto trash cuz somebudy gots to pay to raise my babies! Answer: no one! About what I expected, too. Went overnight sans backcountry permit, built a campfire and everything. Never saw a soul until I reached the takeout this afternoon. NPS had one laminated paper "closed" sign, and some red ribbon which was already cut. No signage whatsoever at the entry point. Did catch a few small fry. After 6 miles of water and rocks (mostly the latter) I'm ready for bed.1 point

I thought they passed something indicating that the furloughed workers that were working through the shutdown would receive their back pay when they get things going again. Is that right? It's better than nothing, but still can put folks in a hard spot when the money stops coming in.1 point

Reminds me of the guy who was fishing from a bridge while my wife and I were canoeing. He cast his line just as we floated by and his sinker bounced off the side of the canoe and his hook snagged my fish stringer. After many apologies on his part and some laughter and ribbing on the part of me and his buddies about cheating and trying to catch someone else's fish, I unhooked his line and we went on our way.1 point

Sounded like you were having a lot of fun rationalizing all that. I had fun reading it, let's have some more fun shall we? By playing a game maybe? Everyone can play along at home, the only goal of the game is to try to list all of the statutes, regulations & ordinances (federal, state & local) which government regulates, (prohibits or compulses) certain behaviors from us. As an enforcer of these you should do better than most folks, but I'm fairly certain it is an impossible task to name off even 1% of them. http://blogs.loc.gov/law/2013/03/frequent-reference-question-how-many-federal-laws-are-there/ The above link is just refering to our federal statutes, the conclusion was that there are so many federal statutes that they would be impossible to count even in 3 life-times of trying. Add to those the millions of state & local ones and freedom liberty becomes nothing more than a simple illusion, it is literally a fairly tale that we tell our children in hopes that their chains rest lightly upon them. Is this tyranny? I cannot think of any other applicable word to describe it ... be it a single incident or literally countless examples, in the absence of freedom & liberty, there is tyranny.1 point

Here is what I did to stop the calls. I received 18 calls in two hours one day then I did this. I had never received any calls prior to this or at least not like this. And since doing this I have not received any. I found the "disconnected telephone tone" on YouTube. I recorded the two second tone as my answering machine message. Just the tone, not the rest of it where the operator says the line has been disconnected. Now when a computer calls and my recording plays the computer that hears the tone logs my number as being disconnected. And within 10 calls of doing this, which all were answered with my answering message, the calls totally stopped. You could even add your normal voice message after the tones. Your human caller won't think anything of the tone followed by your voice but to a computer calling you your line is disconnected.1 point

I just remembered one, the post about boats in the other stupid stuff thread reminded me... Buddy and me went fishing one day (went almost every day during summer breaks), got bored so decided to go up on the bridge and see how far down river we could cast. First cast stripped my reel, so then we decided to drop some rocks over the side and try to splash water up to us. The bridge was about 60 feet above water. After a few small rocks, we left and drove around to find something bigger. We found a large rock that took both of us to lift and slide into the truck bed, then went back to the bridge. We backed the truck up to the edge, and started to slide the rock out without looking below. The rock started falling, and we leaned over to see it fall and hit, to see a boat appear from under the bridge....luckily the rock missed, but only by a few feet and soaked the occupants. They weren't too happy with us so we quickly jumped in the truck and left. The splash didn't quite hit us but it came close :-)1 point

I must had missed the part where our Founders wrote into the various amendments "unless trumped by a local ordinance" but I'm not surprised by your (or anyone elses) defense of this sort of tyranny, the majority of Americans have been conditioned their entire lives to believe that if there is a law, they must obey it. Even if blindly obeying any & every law that is passed means that they subjugate themselves, their children & their fellow Americans, how many times have you heard someone say "well I don't agree with it, but the law is the law" ... The Constitution was once considered our nations highest set of laws, our law-makers & law-enforcers at every level of government have chosen to ignore it because it limits their power/authority to boss the rest of us peasents around, however I still adhere to the notion that it remains the supreme law of the land. I don't want or need a ruling from the Supreme Court to make a determination on whether or not something is unConstitutional or tyrannical & the only type of people who do are already subjects & not citizens.1 point

We both agree that herd management is a good thing. I do respectfully disagree with a few things you mentioned because it boils down to how you and I view proper herd management which could probably be argued ad nauseum. "A good herd management program includes the harvesting of certain bucks". ~ Agree Partially. If you are monitoring the health and growth of your young deer (spikes) then I can see it as acceptable to harvest a few spikes to record data for your records so you can compare to the year(s) before. You would record things such as weight of the deer, the stomach contents, the jawbone, and antler measurement. So unless you are recording that data and using it for herd management purposes, I see no other reason to harvest spikes. Certain bucks to harvest for me are bucks 3.5-4.5+ years old when their antler and genetic capabilities are near 80%-90% and higher. "You cant harvest does and be happy, you wont be doing your herd any justice". ~Agree Partially. Bucks are what people want hanging on their wall, not does. Nothing is more exciting than a bruiser in front of you. But how do you get that old and wise maybe even nocturnal bruiser in front of you instead of just on a trail cam? The best way is to make him walk. If he has easy access to a doe, he will stick close to his bedding area where he is nice and protected, but if he does not have easy access to a doe, he will have to travel further to find one. By balancing the buck to doe ratio there will be a massive increase in competition from your bucks. This makes the rut VERY intense. Have you ever heard of the "2nd rut"? Do you know why there is a "2nd rut"? Its because you have too many does vs bucks. These are does that are left to be breed by a buck so they go into heat again. Fawns that are conceived during the "2nd rut" are born later in the year the next year. By the time these fawns are born, there is less quality food available to new mom and fawns because of all the births from the main rut. This makes the fawns and moms unhealthy and fawn recruitment rates are much lower. Not only will they die from lack of nutrition, but an unhealthy mom likely wont give birth to more than 1 fawn. Bucks born from the 2nd rut often stay young looking up until they are 1.5 years old and can easily be mistaken for "bad genetics" or that "cowhorn spike". Most likely that cowhorn spike is a buck that was born late in the year and never had the nutrition to turn those horns into 4 or 6 points. So what does a balanced buck:doe ratio look like? The rut is freaking intense, your does will be bread during the main rut. There will be not 2nd rut. This also means that you have enough quality food available for the new moms and new fawns throughout the gestation period and after birth. Healthier does give birth to multiple fawns therefor increasing the amount of deer you have on your property. The bucks born from these moms express greater antler grown due to the available nutrition. Your bucks will become more visible and make for better hunts. So its delayed gratification but harvesting does does lead to happiness. So to affectively manage your heard for the best quality bucks, the most visible bucks, and the healthy does that give birth to multiple fawns you harvest does to balance this, not bucks. "For every doe you kill during the rut, you are potentially killing up to four deer". ~ This is not completely true if you have too many deer for the carrying capacity of your land. Malnourished doe tend to have only 1 fawn. By reducing the doe on your property, this actually increases the deer on your property which you then monitor and harvest appropriately the next year. Its a cycle. But the point is, all the deer being born are healthy and the bucks have the nourishment to express their full genetic potential...if you let them mature first. "How about leaving the "big boys" to spread their genes". Well, it is true that the dominate bucks get to breed the doe, but you can't control the age of bucks that breed your does. The age of the father doesn't have anything to do with how much genetic potential a young buck may have. Genetic potential is genetic potential, a young buck that has the genetic potential to be a 200" deer will likely result in a bigger son than an already mature buck with a genetic potential of 140" "I thinned two "scrubs" with jacked up racks off my property last year". ~ By shooting "scrubs" you are assuming 2 things. The first is that the deer has bad genetics. The second is that be eliminating this deer, you are helping to control bad genes from being entered into your heard. (remember what I said above to about how that cowhorn spike likely is a late born buck and still has the genetic potential to not only grow big with proper nutrition but to produce strong offspring). Be careful with this. Many people have this old school methodology that you can manage deer genetics enough to make an impact on your herd. That is simply not true! First, most antler abnormalities are due to injury...NOT genetics. Ever see that buck with one messed up antler but the other looks normal? Thats injury, not bad genes. So if you kill this buck, you are eliminating him breeding with your does and spreading on his genetic potential. Second, you can't control genetics because of several different reasons. 1) Genetics are invisible 2) Deer move too much. Yearing bucks travel up to 40 miles away from their birthplace. During the rut, these deer travel even further. 3) Does carry genes too 4) You dont have the time 5) Genetic manipulation wont last anyways. (you can read more about this http://www.qdma.com/articles/why-we-cant-manage-deer-genetics )1 point

You keep confusing 2 different terms, there is a ordinance that on public right of ways you can't post signs in Murfreesboro... And most people have a right of way easement that includes some of their property... But just because you have an easement running 10-15 feet into your front yard that someday could be turned into a road doesn't mean the property today is owned by the city or is today part of the right of way. I don't have an issue with a law prohibiting putting signs on the public right of way (ie a road, railroad, foot trail etc) that is owned and maintained by the city. But that isn't what's going on here... while the city may very well have an easement to turn some of your front yard into a road it doesn't mean they own the land today, nor can they rip up your fence, mailbox, or for sale sign without a court order because until they convert the easement into a road the property belongs to you. Lets pretend for a second that the city owns the land on which this sign sat, or had some ordinance that allowed them to remove a sign from an unused easement... and the city only targeted signs which were Pro-2nd Amendment in nature but did not equally enforce the law on other signs, or fences, mailboxes, or anything else that then that would be a clear violation of the constitution's equal protection clause. And you keep skipping over the fact the building inspector who the NY town law says is the government entity that enforces these code violations told the homeowner he could keep the sign as it was protected speech... So explain to me again how you have a police officer enforcing building code violations that aren't under the purview of his department?1 point
