  1.   Nuking your enemy is not an atrocity.   Triply so when that enemy attacked us without reason, without warning, and triply so given the horrors that japan visited upon the southern chinese population.   I would say you have a point with the drones, but honestly I lack the ethics to care.   I personally would nuke them too.

  9.   None of it is cheap when you get into quality. In your case, I'm sure a LOT of time goes into them. It doesn't get any more expensive than hand crafted labor. Good steel costs money. In the case of the higher end folders, you have expensive blade steel and handle materials. My personal favorite... titanium.    I have a Sebenza 25 that was over 400 bucks new. Not only am I an idiot, but I got it from Willis, who got it from Kong :)

  10. The situation is indeed a complex one, but I still fail to see why the west is so enamored by Nelson Madela. He had absolutely zero impact on any aspect of world events aside from South Africa and yet he is hailed as a world leader who made great strides for all of society. While there are many issues in South Africa and very very few of them are good the only thing he did was bring chaos and destabilize and entire region of Africa while bringing nothing positive outside of ending apartheid. In fact the turmoil and ethnic cleansings that are going on all around South Africa and in South Africa itself are a direct result of a well intentioned Marxist ideologue.    While I truly believe Mandela was genuine in his intentions and his motives, South Africa is a prime example of what a well intentioned bleeding heart gets you - Chaos and bloodshed on historic levels.

  18. There's no more questioning it, I've got it and I think pretty badly. About This time last year I didn't have even one EBR. As of about 15 minutes ago I now technically have five. Now keep in mind that two are upper and lower only at this point and one of them isn't quite done yet, BUT I have an order of parts on the way and my Midway cart full again already. I should have all but the TGO build done by mid January. Heck one of them will most likely be done before Christmas. <Sigh> I guess there's no use fighting it at this point is there? The disease has taken over. How about you all, how fast did you succumb to the sickness? I want to try and see what kind of quality of life I have ahead of me. And of course, here's a pic. Because it happened.

But I'll be darned if my mind hasn't already switched over to thinking about turkey season!! I clearly have lots of mental stress when it comes to the outdoors. I wait in high anticipation of deer season, then turkey season, then fishing, then dove then back to deer and repeat every year for the rest of my life. In between all that I enjoy camping, backpacking and doing improvements to our land.

  23. Always remember this:   Everyone is a mixture of good and bad traits and pasts... I'm no Nelson Mandela fan; because of several things...   First, Mandela was, at the minimum, a socialist... I dont like 'em... period; but that's just me.... Secondly, Mandela has blood on his hands, no matter what people say... His actions incited bloodshead on both sides (...black and white...)... His wife, Winnie, was in fact the head of a shadow hit group that wantonly murdered opposition apparatchiks on both sides of the color spectrum...Mandela had to know about that...   Mandela's positive traits are notable as well; but the in no way (...in my opinion...) rise to the negative ones... Nelson Mandela had the bearing and the self control of a great man...That, alone, made his a giant to many; but those traits in no way can be used to ignore the darker ones and the carnage and destruction that it brought to south africa...   Take the time to read Newt Gingrich's statement concerning Mandela... Nelson Mandela was, in fact, unjustly imprisoned and persecuted and he endured that persecution, heinous as it was, with great dignity... Those actions won him the respect of many in the western world... He was seen by both black south africans and the rest of the western world as the "George Washington" of south africa.... The apartheid government was seen as being worse than satan himself....   As heinous as the aparthied "status quo" was in South Africa; it kept the country relatively prosperous and on a pretty even keel... Mandela's presidency and the "black majority rule" has brought nothing to South Africa except a downward economic spiral and lawlessness... The poor blacks that worked the diamond and gold mines are still poor and oppressed... Those who run the diamond and gold mines are still fabulously rich...   The sad news is that there is rampant lawlessness and political corruption in South Africa that simply wasnt there with white minority rule... The citizens, both old (...white...) and new (...black...) have traded the rule of law for corruption and murder on a vast scale... There is no escaping it...   Take the time to do a google search and you will learn that 30 or so striking black miners where shot dead by black South African policemen in a strike confrontation a few months ago...Their working conditions and lot in life is no better, some thirty years later, than they were under the white apartheid government...The difference is simply the color of their oppressors in government are now black....  Look a bit farther and you will learn that the white Afrikaaners and british landowners (...farmers...) are being systematically murdered in the most heinous ways by roving bands of black thugs "settling scores"; and their property is being confiscated by the present government... The women are being raped and dismembered and the men (...mostly old...) are being killed in the most heinous of ways... Not one of these murders has been solved; and many folks in all parts of the world believe that these "roving bands of murders", in fact, have the tacit approval of the government in this "ethnic cleansing" of south africa...   Nelson Mandela; that grandfatherly old Cheshire Cat smiling "Father of South Africa" is, in fact, responsible for this carnage and murder... That simply cant be denied... Having said all that; he has some other accomplices... They are the overbearing busybodies who ran the governments of the United States, Britain, and some lesser luminaries on the european continent... I well remember when we here in the united states obsessed with the rest of the world in pressuring the south african government into this "black rule" thing... The results were predictable and were foretold... As heinous as the apartied thing was in south africa; what they have now is just as bad; if not worse...   It's bad because those who were 'liberated" had no notion of liberty and responsibility in government... They were simply unequipped to govern themselves... They, in fact, proved the "white man's burden" thing that the british used to talk about... They were cursed with an army of political opportunists and demagogues that have made things worse for everyone in south africa; no matter whether white or black...   Nelson Mandela, along with the busybodies of the western world are directly responsible for this dismantling of a very prosperous country... I simply dont know whether the oppression of apartheid is any different from this new misery of the black working class and murder of the white minority in south africa.... The affluent, nosy, smartest guy in the room, sanctimonious, busybodies of the west have to bow down to the greatness and honor Nelson Mandela; they made him ... They have to to continue the myth that somehow they advanced freedom for the people of south africa; when the plain truth is that they have done just the opposite...   Ill grant that Nelson Mandela may have started his notable, world changing adventure with the best and purest of intentions... They simply didnt turn out well for anyone...   Ill end this little essay with a sobering observation... What happened (...and is happening...) in south africa is seen by some of this administration's operatives as a perfectly acceptable solution to "white rule" in this very country... It is my belief that this fact is the very reason for the notable absence of prosecution of black on white crime in of the bluer areas of this country... Thankfully the population ratios here are considerably different from south africa...   Elections mean things; if ya like the south african model, vote for more Barak Obamas; if ya dont like it; vote for someone else....   rememberin leroy

  28. The music scene has never been richer.  You can find any type, obscure and no-name artists who are *good*, with the click of a button on the web.  A few cents and seconds later, you own whatever you like.   Rather than just a few people who have mainstream radio play and big names, the smallest guy in his basement can produce quality music and upload it for everyone to find.   Its out there, if you dig around.    Pop is what it always has been --- background noise.   Country and pop have merged, only the accent of the singers separates mainstream garbage rock and mainstream garbage country.   But if you turn the radio off, you can find some awesome stuff once you get past the junk.

  29.  This is a story about a couple who had been happily married for years, the only friction in their marriage was the husband’s habit of farting loudly every morning when he awoke the noise would wake his wife and the smell would make her eyes water and make her gasp for air. Every morning she would plead with... him to stop ripping them off because it was making her sick. He told her he couldn't stop it and that it was perfectly natural. She told him to see a doctor, she was concerned that one day he would blow his guts out. The years went by and he continued to rip them out. Then one Christmas day morning, as she was preparing the turkey for dinner and he was upstairs sound asleep, she looked at the innards, neck, gizzard, liver and all the spare parts, and a malicious thought came to her. She took the bowl and went upstairs where her husband was sound asleep and, gently pulling the bed covers back, she pulled back the elastic waistband of his underpants and emptied the bowl of turkey guts into his shorts. Sometime later she heard her husband waken with his usual trumpeting which was followed by a blood curdling scream and the sound of frantic footsteps as he ran into the bath room. The wife could hardly control herself as she rolled on the floor laughing, tears in her eyes! After years of torture she reckoned she had got him back pretty good. About twenty minutes later, her husband came downstairs in his blood stained underpants with a look of horror on his face. She bit her lip as she asked him what was the matter. He said, “Honey you were right… all these years you have warned me and I didn't listen to you.” “What do you mean?” asked his wife. “Well, you always told me that one day I would end up farting my guts out, and today it finally happened, but by the grace of god, some Vaseline and two fingers. I think I got most of them back in   Dave

  45.   With all due respect, there's a lot more at stake than anyone's gluteus maximus.  Millions of Americans have--and are--putting a lot more than that on the line.  I'm no political analyst, but I'm pretty confident that these liberal socialists didn't get to where they are today with a defeatist attitude.  Just what country do you think is going to have pity and send us some backbone?  Who's going to do something about it if the people who have the most to lose don't step up and take some risk with the constitutional provisions we have?  If we don't have strong leaders, we damn well better go find some.  Or do we want to be known as the nation who lost every freedom they have because of free phones and a welfare check?
