  1. I've worked for the .gov for about 20 years (military and local LE).   What drives me crazy is "We're equal opportunity!"  But then, there's a block on a job application about race. Why? If you're an EOE, and want to hire the best person for the job, why do you give a damn about what color they are?   Race questions on job apps should be removed if you're really wanting equal opportunity.

  3.   Bingo! It's also a form of self segregation. As a minority they ask for equal rights, but they don't really mean it & it's earned a black history month, numerous black only colleges, "Black Miss America", NAACP, UNCF, & dozens of others. Ever hear the term "double standard"? "Hypocrite" also comes to mind. I've only met a few true African Americans in my life. They were born in Africa & moved here. I don't care what color your skin is. If you were born here in the U.S. you're an American. I don't go around asking to be called "Cherokee-Lakota-Scotish American". It would sound rediculous & people would have a hard time taking me seriously if I did. It's the same with the term "African American".

  4. These issues will not calm down until the atmosphere which promotes them is removed...Said another way; lawlessness by certain "protected classes" of folks is ok; or overlooked as "workplace violence".... MO are two good examples.... 2016 can't come quick enough...   leroy

  5. The wife and I were heading to Costco yesterday, and I told her about this story. As I was talking, it occurred to me that it would be funny to start calling it Accost-Co.

  6. Personally, ownership of inanimate objects should not be regulated at all. What should be regulated is the person owning the item. That is if I can legally own a single shot 22 I should be able to legally own a 50 BMG machine gun in the same manner. If I want to own a tank, hand grenades or a fighter jet I should be able to if I can own a 22 and if I can afford it.   Every single time something was passed limiting firearm ownership the democrats were in control. Make no mistake gun control is, ultimately, about control of the people. We have seen it time and time again, democrats say we cannot have something yet they demand the same thing they aim to control.

  9. Nothing for me either fellas.  Allthough I did have fun messing w/ a squirrel a few branches over.  He never saw me, then I would make a little movement.  Then the squirrel would have a panic attack, but still wasn't sure if what he thought he saw he actually saw or maybe just off his meds again...then when he calmed down, I'd move a little and then he'd go back into full freakout mode, but then I was still again and well....hes probably not going to sleep well tonight.

  10. Sam the only thing if a Catholic or Baptist was doing it, it wouldn't be because of their religion because unless somebody can show me in the Bible it doesn't ask me or you to kill others to please God. It does say Love your neighbor as yourself. I still contend that a Muslim is a Muslim, sorry. If the "good" and peaceful Muslims don't come out and say these beheading and such is wrong, what are they saying? They are saying it is right plain and simple. To be quiet and go along is the same as having a bloody knife in your hand. Like I have heard for years, you are either fer me or agin me!!

  11. Did I diss Led Zeppelin? NO. I love classic rock. I was making fun of all the old mustard around here. 1976 was many "mango" seasons past.   :panic:   And plus, 98% of the new rock sucks. And Metal went down the same spiral pit into damnation.

  13. As it barely started breaking day I had a big silhouette and a small one come in to 25 yards in front of me. Too dark to see if the big one had antlers. So far that's all I've seen but I'm in it to skin it, be here till I get something or gets dark. Whichever comes first.

  14. Oh I do agree I am very glad he was there and his shot did what it needed to do to stop the carnage but it just seems that in most cases recently when law enforcement people are forced to use their weapons in up close and personal situations their shot placement seems to be for the most part off the mark. The only one that I have heard of recently was the one in  Ferguson MO and even after being attack by a man the size of a bear and being injured that officer was able to shoot and kill his assailant and they want to crucify him for doing his job. I want to give him a commendation for Bravery for his actions................jmho

  15. Hornady components are among the less expensive in the market. In spite of this I have found their bullets to be as accurate (for group size) and effective on game as I could require. I have used more expensive components from other makers and find myself usually going back to the Hornady brand. They satisfy me in the field and wallet alike. Stumpy

  16. I think there is some revelance of the future as shown with this killing, I think someone already mentioned it.  As the Bible does indicate that Christians will be killed by their testimony.  What people of this world hates, I mean truly hate?  And what people of this world chooses to use beheading as a method and manner of killing?      Revelations 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.   Whereas the Beast is the future world leader that somehow brings to whole world to peace in the Great Tribulation, but will 1/2 way through the rein turn.  The mark to the forehead I think is a chip under the skin in order to conduct commerce, one must be loyal or worship the leader, christians will not.    There are doubters, but the above was penned on a island by an elderly man some 1900-2000 years ago.

  19. The reports indicates that the Muslim was actively stabbing the second woman, so I'd say the LEO made an excellent shot to stop the threat without collateral damage. Thoughts and prayers for the victims and families.

  20. I see all these posts talking about the LEO's "skill/aim". That is not a thought that popped into my head. I was glad he was there. He may have been the only one in that building to react or that did have access to a firearm. Unfortunately 1 person died but how many more if he didn't step in?

  22. Ladies and Gentlemen,     Dave has capped this run out at 40, he has people SCREAMING for his Godfathers and allocated 60 for us. Dave put all the parts away for this run, so we only have 6 more open slots, all of you who have numbers higher than 40 and other ones I have discussed are good to go,      There are only 6 more knives left and I have them ALL sold on another forum for MORE money if you all do not claim them and pay for them by the 15th, of October, this run is DEFINITELY happening people  :usa:

  23. Where did this “document” come from? It doesn’t read like an FBI document, has misspellings and is full of It reads like it was written by someone that desperately wants people to believe his 9mm is as good a weapon as their .40S&W’s. Sorry, dude you still have a 9mm; but maybe you can find someone to give you a hug. You guys know don’t you that you don’t need the approval of everyone else; the only people that matter are you and those you are protecting.

  25. Do y'all have any idea how long it took me until I could tell the difference between a squirrel and a deer?! Years! Those little communists have elevated my heart levels to near shiney-rock-Ruger levels....only to have it plummet once realizing that Boone and Crocket was just a tree rat. I'm just trying to get MY revenge. LOL

  28. I had 1 doe and 2 fawn at 100 yards. They came straight at me to 55 yards. Ate clover for a while. Came in at 40 yards. Then went right and exited field. Haha. Thought I was about to have an extra set of back straps. But hey, I got 10 mIns left...why am I posting?! Ok...back to what I came out here to do...

  33. Looks pretty good, only things I see is the hand guard kit what's the weight? You want to keep it as light as possible. Also, the upper - it's just personal preference but not a fan of the 9mm/22 uppers with the shortened ejection port. It takes away the option to convert it for whatever reason - also the 9mm bolt doesn't have cuts in to use the forward assist. As far as barrel length goes, look at Dolomites post #3 with the ballistics - with the extra 3 inches (7.5 v 10.5) you gain less than 25fps. Just make sure that extra length and weight is what you want. For me it wasn't worth the extra length. The price looks pretty reasonable I would say do it.

  38.   Here's a "proper" barrell roll.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGprpxA0Q8M   I am not a pilot but have been around quite a few, they will tell you that a "PROPER" barrell roll adds no extra stress on an airplane. The trick would be to do a "proper" barrell roll in a 747.

  44. No structural damage whatsoever. The airplane is quite capable. Simply landing puts more stress on the airframe than a barrel roll. Here's its predecessor doing one in 1955. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AaA7kPfC5Hk
