I saw on one fb page a guy said a friend was shooting nosler ballistic tip 7mm-08 and it was foggy and when the bullets went through the fog it made the bullets explode. Lmao A buddy of mine saw the comment and we still laugh at it or send each other warnings on foggy mornings. He summed it up pretty good. He said "you know if people are that daggum stupid maybe being anti-gun makes sense. I don't want to be grouped in with people like that"5 points

Three Rooms in Hell A guy dies and is sent to Hell. Satan meets him, shows him doors to three rooms, and says he must choose one spend eternity in. In the first room, people are standing on their heads on brick floor The guy says "no, let me see the next room." In the second room, people are standing on their heads on a wooden floor. The Guys says that is better, but says no again. Finally, Satan opens the door to the third room. People are standing with shit up to their knees, drinking coffee and eating danish pastries. The guy says, "I pick this room." Satan says okay and starts to leave, and the guy wades in and starts pouring some coffee. On the way out Satan yells, "O.K., coffee break's over. Everyone back on your heads!"4 points

Yeah, it was a good turn out, good company and great fellowship. The food and service were good to. I really enjoyed meeting everyone and if the right weekend combination comes along would love to go to the range with everyone. I also hope we can work out something on getting together at least a couple of times a year for meals again. And BTW Ted's not a hippie but a hybrid Yippee who smiles a lot and drinks coffee... <grin>3 points

Three men are shipwrecked on an island inhabited by an ancient tribe. The chief tells the three men the island is sacred and has now been violated. They must choose their punishment--death, or bula bula. The first man asks, "What's bula bula?" The chief only says, "You must choose." The man says, "Well, give me bula bula." His hands and feet are tied, his pants are pulled down, and he is bent over a log. Ten tribesmen take turns sodomizing him. The chief turns to the second man and says, "You must choose." The second man, distraught, finally says, "Well, I don't want to die. I guess I'll take bula bula." His feet and hands are tied, his pants are pulled down, and he is bent over a log. Ten tribesmen take turns sodomizing him. The chief turns to the third man, who immediately says, "You don't even have to ask, just kill me." The chief raises his spear above his head and yells, "Death by bula bula!"3 points

Nobody is paying me anything, for doing anything, my labors are 100% volunteer. I took another day's vacation, spent my gas money to drive to Nashville, and had 11 different meetings with legislators about the coming session just yesterday. Calling me a lobbyist is in fact an insult, they are paid hacks. Talked to two yesterday who privately told me they were personally against the issue they were selling, at least I am not guilty of that. By the way, I did not meet anyone else in the halls pushing firearms issues, had it all by my lonesome, again. TGO David had it correct, I was speaking in general to all who fuss about what the legislature or the NRA or the TFA or the Muffin Club should be doing, yet sit on their dead hinneys and type instead of doing something about it. When I mean to insult an individual, there is no mistaking it, it will be apparent to all who witness it, in print or in person. If a gentle remonstration about the actual actions that bear fruit for a cause are "insulting" to some, maybe the vicious halls of LP are not their best venue. If you are actually making headway on an issue, your very job may in fact be threatened. Oppositional research is employed against those who dare take issues to the various committees or Leadership, which by the way is where these battles are waged. It has to be lived to be appreciated. I do it for my grandchildren, there is not enough money to pay for the heartache and trouble that results, you win seldom, but the cost is monumental.3 points

Look, what I am seeing here is failure to comprehend what was written so let's take this from another angle: SHOW ME WHERE HE INSULTED YOU. I've read it several times and nowhere in there does he make a statement that seems like it was designed to insult or offend you. I see a point where he makes the statement "If you do not have at least five meetings scheduled with legislators at LP tomorrow, you are talking, not doing." but in this case the word YOU seems to be used in the first-person. That is the only area what I see what what he said might be misconstrued, and even that shouldn't trip up anyone who has ever written a first-person narrative before. So back to my last challenge, show me where he insulted you in his post. I maintain that you completely misunderstood the point of his post the same way you went straight to a literal interpretation of my statement about being slapped with a glove. While you're doing that, I can show you where what YOU (not used in the first-person, mind you) absolutely intended to offend him with your response. Hell, it offended me for him.3 points

I think you REALLY missed the point of his post. What I got from it is it's a tiring, grueling, thankless task where you are up against overwhelming odds all the time. Maybe you missed the part where he said he does this using time-off from work when his family would rather they be taking vacations. Honestly, very rarely do I read things on TGO that make me wish we were still in an age where we could remove a glove, slap another man across the face with it, and demand that an apology be issued for their transgression. You unlocked that achievement with that post.3 points

We have all seen dumb ads on these FB pages. I have had good luck with some of them. Not making fun of the pages just some of the dumb stuff I see. I was just browsing and saw all of these within minutes of each other and they were too good not to share. I have marked out any names. I'm not posting to be grumpy. I truly do get a chuckle out of some of these. Can we make this the official "Dumb S### on Facebook" thread? This guy here only wants a gun shot less than 10 times... 11 is too much wear. This Glock must have golden inards. What a deal! And if you know anything about guns...... Another steal.2 points

Stopped in Cleveland at Dunham's Saturday, wife walked up to the counter and asked if I seen any I wanted. And a few minutes later she asked again, then after I was walking away she asked if I was sure I didn't see any. I can count at least six guns I've purchased due to saying, hey look at that and getting the response to buy it if I wanted it. I mentioned to her about seeing a Mosin at Buds that was nice but I already had one and she told me I should have bought it. Please help me, my wife is feeding my addiction lol!2 points

I have to respectfully disagree with you on the parking lot issue. Businesses have a right to keep their business gun free if they so choose, but the parking lot? I don't buy it! By making your workers not able to store their weapons in their vehicle you are effectively disarming them for the majority of their lives. Many workers spend more time at or in route to/from work than at home, and many run errands before or after work. If you or your business really cared for the safety and welfare of your workers you would support this bill. If they were to be talking about private residences then I could see the issue since nobody HAS to visit. And what about the customers? Are they also subject to arrest if a gun is locked away in their car? Is the parking lot posted?2 points

Since nobody mentioned it. Aside from being able to shoot out to 1250, they have target cameras that are operational all the time (provided there is sun to charge them). Just tune them to the distance you are shooing. Best part of shooting .308 at the 1250 target is. After you take shot, you have time to take off your muffs, watch the hit and wait for the sound to come back! :) They also allow .50 BMG. You must take a class for that as well but good to go after that. Friend of mine shooting some $10 dollar bills last time we were there! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=onSL4MhkGRM&feature=youtu.be2 points

Sadly enough there's people who will not research and pay those prices. I had a friend show me and brag about this cool old Russian rifle, (Mosin 91/30) that he only paid $200 for off some dude at work. He really thought he got a good deal. I told him later what he could have really bought one for but I didn't have the heart to burst his bubble right then.2 points

Your skills in surmising the intent of my post are pretty poor. I would much rather have your help than your money. I do wish you would point out a single time on these pages that I have asked for money for any reason. (no matter how much we might raise, it will never equal what the Chamber, Fed Ex, Volkswagen and Bloomberg have). I do not come to these pages to shill for membership in any organization, I try to inspire action. If mine do not merit that, I will never beg for mere money. It is pretty obvious you have never been around a real lobbyist, they have golden tongues, silk suits and bags of gold, I have none of these. But the days and miles open a number of doors that in some way I hope further the cause.2 points

I finally ventured into the 1911 world over the weekend and I'm pretty happy. I put 100 rounds downrange with only one FTF. The gun even ate Gold Dot's without issue. This gun is around $100-150 more than the regular SR1911 but it comes with night sights and better grips(IMO) so I think it was worth it. Plus, I think it looks a hell of a lot better than the standard Ruger. The only negative is that the trigger leaves a lot to be desired but it's already getting better. Now I just need to find some 8 round magazines and a nice leather holster. What do you all carry your 1911's in?1 point

Detectives with the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office believe they have solved 22 burglaries and 15 property thefts in the past few weeks. These burglaries and thefts have mostly taken place in the western and eastern portions of the county. Police say, four different groups of suspects are responsible for these incidents. Springfield arms permit classesOn December 16, 2014, detectives captured three juveniles (not named in this report) allegedly responsible for 6 burglaries. One of these incidents was a home invasion of an elderly female. These juveniles were primarily taking Christmas presents from underneath Christmas trees, according to a release obtained by Smokey Barn News. According to the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, On January 16, 2015, Michael Broyles, 31 of Cedar Hill and Donald Arnold Jr. 26 of Cedar Hill were charged in connection with 2 burglaries and 2 thefts of property. On January 20, 2015, Keenan Bauscher, 28, of Springfield, Daniel Harris Jr., 25, of Orlinda and Amber Pulley, 28, of Springfield were arrested and charged with 2 burglaries and 2 thefts of property. Finally, on January 22, 2015, Charles Daniel Shook, 25, of Springfield and Traci Marie House, 26, of Springfield were arrested and charged with 12 burglaries and 11 thefts. One of these was also a home invasion of an elderly female. Some of these burglaries dated back to October 2014. burglarieswm003Detectives recovered many of the items taken including guns, jewelry, electronics, and clothing. These items were returned to the victims. “It is always rewarding to not only solve the crimes, but more importantly return stolen items to the victims,” said Sheriff Bill Holt. “Our investigators are committed to helping these victims by bringing those responsible to justice, and recovering the belongings that were taken. We appreciate the assistance of the public in helping us solve these crimes. We rely on your eyes and ears to help protect our community. We encourage anyone to call us if they see something that appears suspicious.” Another group of burglars have been identified that are responsible for committing burglaries recently in the northern part of the county. Warrants have been obtained, and some of the property has already been recovered. These suspects have yet to be captured.1 point

As much as I want to say the 938 I'm not, it'd be the G-26 even though I have the same issues with it as hipower. The darn thing's great to shoot but awkward to carry. In fact the G-19, which conceals very well and is equally as thick, is more comfortable in carry IMHO.1 point

TFA does a good job of keeping up with bills that do or could affect the 2A in either manner, good or bad and getting them out to us in time to contact our politicians. I got this yesterday and it's really sticking in my craw: HBO139 - As introduced, creates a Class E felony of intentionally possessing a firearm that the person knows or reasonably should know is stolen. - Amends TCA Title 39, Chapter 14, Part 1 and Title 39, Chapter 17, Part 13. http://www.capitol.tn.gov/Bills/109/Bill/HB0139.pdf To my knowledge, no citizen has access to a database of stolen firearms. How in the world could a law so vague be enforced? To believe all stolen firearms are always sold by an obvious crackhead in a back alley for penny's on the dollar is asinine. Every purchase of a firearm, other than a new purchase from a dealer, has the potential to have been stolen at some point in time unless the seller is well known to the buyer and the seller bought it new. Who decides a person should have reasonably known a firearm bought was stolen and by what criteria is the decision made? This bill is being sponsored by Brenda Gilmore, Democrat of course, and seems to me to be an attempt to throw a bill out there that's ANTI 2A in the face of the many bills that are written by our legislatures that are PRO 2A. I thank the TFA for keeping me up with the bills that can affect our 2A here in Tennessee. A heads up with plenty of time to contact my reps and voice my opinion.1 point

I just posted how Healthcare has "something" to do with guns because the politicians want to use Healthcare as another avenue to usher in more gun control, which is why the NRA got involved in the ACA. I also posted how the Supreme Law of the Land, the Constitution, doesn't stop the anti-2A politicians from trying to restrict or revoke your rights, either. So why do you think you can just keep putting more text in a law to supposedly protect gun owners when the Second Amendment doesn't even stop them? It goes back to the point I made earlier. I'd rather not have the ACA nor the Haslam Medicaid expansion because it just gives Govt more area to control our lives (and guns). They have already shown us they want to use the ACA by inserting language in the law "to treat firearms as a matter of public health." So knowing they wanted to do it from the start, tells us they'll keep trying to use the ACA law, and healthcare in general, to get more "gun control." So I fully support the TFA's efforts to fight the Haslam Medicaid expansion. :)1 point

I like the ideas you mentioned. You could also try to do a few videos that are specific to TN such as: places to shoot(and reviews of those ranges), upcoming competitions or events, any changes to state gun laws etc...1 point
