I'm still working on this. I just tossed together this simple video. It should make spreading the word a bit easier. If you feel so inclined, please feel free to share, share, share, and share some more! 3 points

The last 10 years i hunted I seldom got in the woods before 8:30AM and most times bagged a deer between 10:00 Am and 1PM. I think the deer know that many hunters leave the woods for lunch break and return in the evening and it seems they begin to move more during those hours so just something to put back in your memory bank for future references..........jmho3 points

I was wondering what constituted "FBI Style Training" only to find it's a virtual reality simulator. God I hate the media and all of their cluelessness.3 points

My brother in law brought me a bottle from NC i think. I was really excited about it. But it's hot garbage imho. Literally. Hot. And rough. Like a long trail ride after a night of heavy drinking and bad mexican food. Imagine the love child of Jameson and JP-8. And this is not coming from a man sitting in a stuffy game room surrounded by high dollar smokes and bottles of top shelf. Just a regular ol bourbon guy who got put in charge of bath time. You know you want a Bradford pear tree. There are so many great things about them. When they spend that 3 days each spring looking pretty they will emit that lovely sewage like odor. Their quickly growing and branching out limbs are great for hitting your head on when you mow around the tree. In 10-15 years it will surely fall in a windstorm and bless you with an unbelievable amount of wood for a tree of its size. It should only take 2-3 days with a good chain saw to cut it into firewood sized pieces. Speaking of which, Bradford pear wood is hard to beat when you need a quick fire, like between the time that you get up in the morning and when you leave for work 30 minutes later, because it will only take about 15 minutes for a fully stoked fire place to burn down to nothing. Oh, and the best part is they don't even bear any actual pears so you won't have to pick them up and they wont attract bugs and other vermin.3 points

You are entitled to your opinion. What you and Phil are not entitled to is to stir up a shitstorm where others have to deal with the fallout because you don't live here. That's isn't "fighting for your freedoms", it's a masturbatory stroking of one's own ego. Like I said before, leave this for folks who live here to take care of their own. If we are content with the status quo where we live, who are you to make it your business to tell us we are wrong and go about fixing it for us? Mind the shit in your yard, I'll mind the shit in mine.3 points

At no time do I ever claim to be a saint. Really. And if you knew me 6 years ago you'd have hated me like any other Michigander that I read about on here. I was so unaware of guns, gun rights, gun safety and anything else related to them. However, that's not the point at hand. I was out today, mailing something and all of a sudden I lost control of my vehicle. Now Sequoias do have a few known issues but this one was new to me. I somehow ended up at our FAVORITE local gun shop in Livingston. Which is a bit from our house so it's still a mystery as to how my vehicle ended up there. :ugh: I do remember oddly talking with Monkey last night about adding some things to the collection and working on beefing up our ammo. So maybe the Sequoia just heard that convo? I dunno... but somehow I ended up with these: A Gen 4 Glock 20 And this beauty, a Gen 3 Glock 21sf with Nickel Boron Slide Now, if I ever lied to you and told you that I am sad about somehow ending up at the gun store, well I'd never forgive myself. But I did however fib to a certain Monkey when he called me. It was almost as if he could sense something was going on. Well I told him I wouldn't be able to meet him for lunch because I was tied up mailing letters. He called me back a few minutes later and told him I was busy checking out at the Food Lion in Livingston and I would be to his work shortly. As my wonderful, awesome and helpful sales clerk was helping me finish my transaction Monkey called a last time and said "Food Lion in Livingston? Umm... yea, tell Anthony hi for me." Well shoot. The gig was up. DANG IT. But once I ran by his work and he saw what I grabbed, he was very OK with it from what I could tell. I don't think he even remotely expected it because we had talked about going next week but that pesky Sequoia had other plans.. I also picked up a lot of awesome ammo while there. I cannot say enough about the guys at The Livingston Gun Shop and Trading Post. Except that once they know your weaknesses, they try really hard to get you to leave with as many items as possible. There was talk of Monkey possibly needing to take my keys away.. LOL I however blame it on the items I have been reading about on here lately. LOL Either way, we have 2 new family members and I love them A LOT.2 points

I think you, Comms and I all suffer from novice impulse control!! But that might also be what makes us pretty awesome too. You did see the new 20 I got yesterday in preparation for my ammo purchase this Saturday, didn't you? The 21 just somehow tagged along. LOL2 points

I agree with all the previous posts, being a combat wounded 'Nam vet myself. But it would be nice if the vets could have the day off from work, with pay, rather than the folks who work for some gov. agency, banks, and the few others that close on Vets Day.2 points

This is a nice knife. The two tone blade looks great. No button to cause an accidental opening in your pocket, which is good as mine is extremely sharp. Only negative - Everyone keeps trying to buy mine!2 points

You have to remember that the zoo policies you are seeing on the website are general policies that probably 90% of all non profits and also companies have. So are you going to write every company in America about their book policies because they have a no weapons policy? Remember that these policies generally do not make it illegal for you to carry with your handgun carry permit at say ABC store. The handgun carry permit is meant to keep you from having a weapons charge in the odd chance that someone discovers that you are carrying and calls the police. Also it is important to remember that not many people out of the total population legally carry handguns. We are a small exception just like LEO's and armed guards. I'm quite confident in carrying at the zoo or any other park in Memphis and would not expect any sort of major problems out of it IF I was discovered to be carrying because we are legal carrying in those locations. The chance of being discovered is pretty low as long as I conceal and mind my own business.2 points

Just got my Agency Arms drop in trigger. For not changing the pull weight this thing is amazing. It feels so much better and looks pretty nice too. I installed it on my full FDE Glock 19 gen4. Definitely will be buying one or two more for other Glocks I have laying around. It is by no means a 1911 trigger but for a duty/combat trigger it feels better without being lighter. It's kind of hard to explain you just have to experience it. If you're not familiar with them they are a flat bow non adjustable trigger with a metal trigger shoe.1 point

Right now I'm TDY in a hotel room having a cocktail and thinking about the friends I've lost in 22+ years of military service. Sadly I've lost more to suicide than enemy fire. Think about the people in your life, look out for them, love them and always be there for them. You could be the difference between them being here tomorrow or not.1 point

Finally made it to the range today. The recoil is about the same as .223 more accurate than me took it out to 200 yards. I zeroed at 100 yards cant tale that it is even dropping at 200 yards. The SRC Reliabolt worked flawless. I'm extremely happy with how this build turned out.1 point

I have a CMMG MK3 CBR AR10 for sale for $1600 in the classifieds. You would have another $900 for good glass and a bipod. I ran it out to 800 yards (range limit) in Colorado. I have 2 and needed to pay for some new house stuff. I'd be happy to let ya take a look at it on Saturday when y'all get that ammo. Juuuuust sayin! I did the build thing on my 300 blk...it got over budget quick. But then again, my impulse control is novice level. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk1 point

I DID IT! I am now a proud NRA lifer as of today. I pulled the trigger for many reasons, and chose today's date just as a small token of appreciation. NRA may have some fat cats, but they are a strong foe for lobbying my gun interests with both Federal and State level elected officials. Its time that I step up to do my part. That Glock 43 may have to wait another 6 months, an/d or that Savage 110FCP may have to wait a little longer. Look out mailbox for endless mail for years to come.1 point

I am a Protech knife dealer and the one who does the TGO Protech knives, the next TGO knife will be delivered in May 2016 and it will be a Carbon Fiber BR1 or Magic as everyone else knows them. I was one of the first people in the world to get a Pre Production BR1 knife. I had the knife two weeks before it was announced as Dave wanted my input on the knife after carrying if for a spell. I sold that one to some lucky guy on this forum just because I wanted to be generous and let someone enjoy it for a good price. I have 3 now and am awaiting a special custom one that Dave at Protech made for me, I will post pics when I get it These knives are perfect to carry I carry one of mine a lot1 point

I mean he literally called 3 times within 5 minutes which is embarrassing because #1, I cannot lie to him and #2 his ring tone in the middle of a country town, gets me LOOKS. And not the good kind. LOL It's almost like he knew I was having fun without him.1 point

I hate jewelry. I do however love the feeling of spending money on really useful items. I took these over to my friends tonight and she looked at me like I was insane. Personally I think I am totally wonderful and perfectly sane, I could just care less about girly crap that has no use.1 point

Sam, I sent you a PM. CommsNBombs, Yeah, it sucks. Someone could probably start a business on this project, though the military has this little thing called AWOL. I love your humor. I laugh and laugh every time I see: "I thought those came pre-fuzed?!" National Guard Field Artillery 2LT to me, when I explained why his 155mm didn't exploded"1 point

Do we give the same 'benefit of the doubt' to incidents involving cops? Do we wait for more info before passing expert judgement? From what I've seen on this forum the answer, frequently, is no.1 point

The part about him never getting closer than 10 feet is presented the wrong way in the story. The story makes that out to be a factor of why he isn't a threat. To me, if he's at 10 feet than he can be on her faster than she can react, especially as an older person with (presumably) slowing reflexes, and she's busy putting groceries away. I see the 10 feet thing in her favor, not his.1 point

Well, after at least a year of hemming and hawing, I finally ordered an Alien Gear holster today. Can't wait to get it in my hands and, more importantly, on my belt.1 point

Really sorry to hear that. I do believe that dogs that have lived together like that do suffer from depression and it has an effect on all of them once one does pass. My Weimi is just over 11 1/2, and he has some hip issues, so I know our time is on the down turn. Hate to even think of that day. His rough life:1 point

You are legal carrying at the zoo, so why contact the zoo and ask? We are extremely lucky we got this park law passed in the middle of opposition from the more populated cities in the state. I'd lay low for a while and conceal carry in places like the zoo. Concealing means it is out of sight and out of mind.1 point

All we can do is form our opinion on what we have heard or read so far, until there's another side to this story I have to say the guy (potential victim), did a good thing by giving the rager a chance to live and sober up to contemplate what "almost" happened, like he be dead instead of alive. Popping a handgun round in the ground? Unless you hit an angled piece of granite it's not really going anywhere. The Rager ought to thank him later on for sparing his life, at least his momma should thank him.1 point
-
Because he wasn't in fear for his life when he fired. If he was truly in fear he would have shot to kill. The law is pretty clear you can only fire your weapon if you feel your life IS in danger. If you are firing a warning shot your life is clearly not in danger. Thanks Robert1 point
