  2. I got excited earlier as I saw a tracking number and thought it said the delivery was due for today. Turns out I misread and it said that the items would SHIP today. Regardless, I am hopeful I will have the tumblers in hand by the end of the week. So yay! Should be able to start breaking down the shipment over the weekend and boxing them up to begin going out to you folks the first of next week as long as everything arrives on time!

  5. I have had my Dillon 550 for 7 years and estimate I have reloaded close to 200,000 plus rounds on it. Today while reloading my machine broke down. I called Dillon and they had me mail back the 550 and they said it will take about 3 weeks to get me a new one back.

  12. I promised myself one of these as soon as I hear they were making them. When we had the TGO get together at Everything Weapons I filled out a purchase request or whatever you call it for one. I was warned by more than one person that most dealers would rather sell them on Gun Broker at a big markup than to honor the purchase request. Well, I'm here to tell you they did me right! I got a call saying his distributor is finally taking orders and I can finally get one, so I rushed down to pay for it. I got there just as he was on the phone placing the order. It took 8 days to come in, but they called me after-hours tonight to say it's finally here. I get to go pick it up tomorrow!!! The only bummer is that I already committed to teaching a buddy who's never shot rifles before about ARs and AKs first thing in the morning. I only recently got him hooked on guns and he has 3 handguns already and realizes a long gun or 2 are much-needed additions to his collection. Needless to say, his wife probably hates me, LOL. After we run through some rifle basics, I'm gonna let him shoot a few then I'm off to pick up my new toy. Bonus! I get to go to the range again to shoot my new toy.

  15. I picked up a 2nd TGO set a year ago or so and wanted to build it different with a longer barrel. I built the lower not long after I bought them but the upper has been on the back burner due to wanting to sbr the other TGO set and buy an Omega suppressor. Since I've finished those two items off the "want/need" list I got started on this again. So before I continue with the build list, the first thing most of you should notice is the birdcage isn't timed. I'm puttin an Odin Works comp on this rifle until my Omega gets out of jail, so the A2 is just there to protect the threads and only had a used crush washer. Pains me to see it on this rifle but I had to do with what I had. CMT TGO receivers CMMG lower parts kit with trigger soon to be replaced with ALG ACT Magpul MOE+ grip and Moe stock Geissele Mk8 13" Mlok rail Seekins Precision bolt catch and mag release BCM bolt carrier group, Mod 3 charging handle, and buffer tube assembly Ballistic Advantage Hanson 18" barrel with pinned gas block (waiting on Odin comp) A.R.M.S. 30mm qd rings Optics ?? Thinking something along the lines of 4-12ish in probably Vortex? BUIS- Troy Battlesights will be my choice

  16. Congrats on the bike and lots of good tips have been provided. I'll add one: Don't bar hop with the group rides, or just have a cold water or sweet tea. You need your head on straight these days when riding on 2 wheels.

  17. http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200482724_200482724 Been using something about like this one for several years now. I have three. They've been pretty good. Nothing broke I couldn't fix pretty easy. I use mine more in a day's time than most of you guys will use them in a lifetime. I tried the Aluminum jacks....what a friggin' joke. They will bend on a 3/4 ton truck unless you keep them perfectly straight and scotch the wheels. I wouldn't give a plug nickel for one of them.

  22. You found several good deals last year? Seriously? I'm a HUGE Amazon fan but Prime day was a joke. They got major criticism last year. https://www.buzzfeed.com/kanikateng/the-26-best-responses-to-amazon-prime-day-9wy1?utm_term=.ecJgVolBaE#.kvE4G82JoD ETA: I don't mean to sound like an ass, I'm just genuinely surprised to hear you found some good deals. You're literally the first person I've ever met who had a positive experience. I was very excited for it last year but couldn't believe how disappointing it was.

  23. I'm with Dave. My daily CC is a Kahr, but I do love me some S&W revolvers and have several. Also like my various 1911's. I suppose my view is that a gun is like a tool. And there's a tool for most applications.

  25. That is great to hear. Bandit has similar lineage, but with more Lab. I got here from here on the board almost three years ago now. She is hands down on the most intelligent animals I have ever met. It is amazing for her size how compact and muscular she is. The Lab/Pit mix is a very interesting breed with no downsides that I have found.

  30. I rarely post here, but felt like throwing in my 2 cents. Find a class and take the course. Its worth it. I've ridden for a long time, (42 years lol), and the biggest dangers in my opinion are texting/distracted drivers. Situational awareness! Enjoy the ride but keep your head on a swivel. I've had more close calls in the last five years than all the previous years combined and I chalk it up to cell phones. Congrats on the bike! I've got a sportster 1200s with a few mods. 31. Well I picked it up yesterday! i still have an agency TiN barrel on back order so when that comes it I will drop it in. I am currently running it with a SiCo threaded barrel. I have yet to shoot it hoping to today. I can tell you that it is noticeably lighter and after handling it for a while it starts to not feel like a glock any more. Let me know of any pictures or questions you have i will do my best to answer.

  32. Your 9 twist is MUCH more versatile than a 7 twist. If your rifle does what you want it to do and hits what you point at AND you're happy with it, tell your buddy to go sit on a pine cone.

  34. Pretrial diversion generally means charges were dismissed. However, that doesn’t mean her records will show a final disposition. Not having a disposition is a common cause for being refused on a gun purchase. Unless she knows a cop that can run a background check, the best source of information she has will be the court clerk where her case was handled. They should only be a phone call away.

  37. I've got a VP9 and a G19 & G17. The ergonomics of the HK can not be beat IMHO. But it shouldn't be compared to the 19.. because it's dimensions are almost exactly that of the 17. It's not what I would consider concealable. The HK feels like shaking hands with an old friend, and in my hand is extremely accurate, I have about 1000 down the pipe and has been 100% reliable. Probably oneed of the best poly guns ever produced... with the one caveat that it only holds 15 rounds... I should say though, by my bed is a loaded Gen 3 17. I have 2 G17s and I won't get rid of either one.

  39. After we bought our house last summer the wife talked me into getting a grill. Now it is rather shameful to admit, but I had minimal prior grilling experience. I have spent nearly every Sunday since March (and several Saturdays, a few Fridays and even a Thursday or two) grilling out. We have done pork chops, pork roasts, cod wrapped in cedar, hamburgers, hotdogs, steak, chicken, a couple of racks of ribs, god knows home much corn, clams, brats, potatoes, sweet potatoes... Hell I have lost count. And I don't know how I lived before this. For the record we use charcoal.

  40. I can't really recommend a specific rum, but be sure to check prices here before you go. Sometimes it cheaper to just buy it here with the aggravation of going thru customs. We went to Jamaica (Negril) for our honeymoon. Beautiful place and we had a great time. Be prepared to haggle over everything, I found Jamaicans to be the most politely pushy folks I've ever met. Also be prepared to tip everyone. I was out of $1's before I got out of the airport. It got expensive fast.

  41. After carrying my guns in leather IWB holsters with a metal clip for years, I got tired of the clip putting holes in my shirts. So I decided to look for other options. I've tried kydex holsters in the past with the wide plastic clip and those just didn't work for me. I've known about these G Code holsters for quite a while and since it has the "fuzz" on the outside that solved one of the other problems I'd had with kydex in that they tended to slide around too much. It did take a while to come in (8 weeks and 2 days from the day I placed the order) but I don't think I'll ever go back. I've already placed orders for holsters for my other carry guns. I did modify this one as you can tell in the pics. And not an uncommon mod from what I've seen around YouTube other forums.

  42. I'm not a huge fan of the stock M&P trigger either, but that can be fixed if money is no object. While you're at it, you'll also have to spend some more money to get sights as nice as those that come stock on the XD-s. The other thing I didn't like about the Shield 45 is that that bore axis felt tall to me. It FEELS like there's more gun sticking up above my hand, even if there isn't (I'm not sure, I can't find that measurement anywhere). The 45 Shield feels really really thin in my hand and I wear size M gloves. I think I read that the shield is actually about 0.09" wider, so I'm guessing the added length of the Shield grip front to back lets them round the corners of the grip, giving it a sleeker feel than the squarish Glock-like feel of the XD-s. Add the fact that the 45 Shield is also about a half inch taller (looks like the extra height is all in the grip length), letting you get you get that extra finger on the grip. It just feels better in your hand even if the extra height is a little harder to conceal. Bottom line for me is I'm not selling my XD-s any time soon, but if I didn't already have one, it'd be a REAL tough call between the 2. I like a lot of things about both.
