  1. The more I hear from Kyle the better he looks and the worse others do. He responded well to that. The fact that conservatives are trying to make him a hero is just as disgusting as the people trying to make him out to be a monster.

  2. Yeah, let’s just make it up as we go. It’s bad enough Trump Jr is spreading that bull#### but now Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has introduced a bill to give him the Congressional Gold Medal. It’s like there’s a contest to see who can be the stupidest in this country. Guess who loses at that?

  3. Yeah, that statue was terrible and a disgrace to Forrest. However, the man deserved statues. Forrest was considered by both sides to be the greatest cavalry commander of the Civil War. There used to be a very good statue of him in Memphis. But the history haters had it removed several years ago. I've said it many times. The worst mistake you can make in the study of history is to judge the past by the standards of today.

  4. That qualifies as a huge understatement ... Given the current occupant of the White House, I'm betting "fake" is a real possibility ...

  5. I've known for a long time the democrats were stupid and crazy. I thought the republicans had at least a bit of common sense. But after all that's happened since Covid came out, I now know I was dead wrong.

  7. So did some trading around and ended up with a bucket list rifle gor me. Winchester 1886 .45-70. 24" barrel, full length mag tube, unfired in the orginal box. I am not much on safe queens so Ive got to decide to either shoot it or sell it off and buy one used that I will shoot. Anyway, wanted to share.

  9. https://www.toysfortots.org/donate/ While I was awaiting my discharge back in 1986, I worked the Toys For Tots drive at the local Marine Reserve Station in Kansas City. Although no charity is perfect, I have witnessed the relief on parent's faces when they were able to get their kids a toy for Christmas. To this day the thought of that sight makes me emotional. For this reason this has been a charity to which my wife and I regularly give. This is the first that I've ever issued a "challenge" as I truly believe that giving to charity is a secret between you and God, so forgive me if I'm doing it wrong. I challenge everyone here to give, if they can, so that underprivileged children get something for Christmas. At the site above you can give money or even select specific toys to donate. You will REALLY give joy to people you don't know this Christmas if you do.

  10. That was the most god-awful excuse for a “statue” I’ve ever seen. A caricature. Those dinosaurs at goofy golf courses look more realistic. Yeah, people wanted it gone. Especially, the heirs of the guy that built it on his own private land.

  15. I wanted to build a Shughart M-14 because if you’re gonna have one, it might as well be one modeled off the one used by one of the baddest men to wield it. I started with this M-14 clone from Bula Defense. Mounted an ARMS-18 optics rail and an Aimpoint CompM. I then acquired a surplus M-14 fiberglass stock. The army boys sure do love their duct tape. Once I got it stripped down, it was time to paint! As it sits now, it’s in what I refer to as the “movie configuration” ad it’s similar to what was used in the Black Hawk Down film. The CompM will end up coming off and being used on a retro AR build using the original hi-rise optic mount (carry handle gang gang). As of now there are a couple of bits that are either on the way, or requiring a little detailed work to mount. (Waiting on rings for my Aimpoint 5000 and the AIM-1/D needs a tape switch fabricated for it.) Updates to follow as the build is adjusted/completed.

  23. Commie #1 checking in. I never liked the idea of Santa. I never liked the idea of lying to kids about Santa. I taught my kids what I had learned about Jesus and Christianity while growing up, and explained to them they were given gifts out of love. They excepted my explanation pretty well. The decorations and gifts were still coming. The only issue we had concerning Santa was one year during the holidays at the Christian school they were attending they decided to tell their classmates that their father said Santa didn’t exist. Lots of sad kids, angry parents and administrators. Whenever we run into one of my kids former classmates we all have a laugh over how everyone overreacted to my decision not to lie to my kids. We didn’t do the Easter bunny thing either. They were taught about the resurrection. The eggs, games and candy were perks of playing with their cousins and friends after church. This isn’t a knock on those who choose to do otherwise. It was just my thing with my kids. Edit- I didn’t want to put this in charity challenge thread, because I didn’t want to seem like I was thread crapping the op’s post. Reading that post validates the unnecessary pressure people feel during the holidays. If Jesus is the reason for the season, that should be emphasized more than the receiving of gifts. I know that gift giving is symbolic, but corporations could care less about your feelings. SHOW THEM THE MONEY! No parent or child should feel depressed because they aren’t in a position to observe what has become a commercialized holiday.

  25. Yeah, I think Rittenhouse regrets what he did but, would do it again if he had to. Nobody wants to be a situation like that. I'm sure it made a lot of Libs cry when he got the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

  26. https://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/584685-rittenhouse-tells-podcast-host-killings-nothing-to-be Rittenhouse was a guest on the right-wing podcast “You Are Here” on Monday night. During the appearance, co-host Sydney Watson told him that the killings were “kind of impressive” and that “of all the people that you shot at, you killed probably two of the worst on the planet.” "It's nothing to be congratulated about,” Rittenhouse responded. “Like, if I could go back, I wish I would never have had to take somebody’s life." Rittenhouse went on to explain that he has regrets about going to Kenosha that evening. “Well, hindsight being 20/20, probably not the best idea to go down there,” Rittenhouse said. “Can’t change that. But I defended myself and that’s what happened.”

  29. Brass case ammo expands and seals the chamber so no gas gets by into the chamber. Steel case will not expand, thus gas gets by and contaminates the chamber with burned debris. If you do not CLEAN THE CHAMBER WELL and then shoot brass, the brass will expand and get caught in the chamber, even break the extractor or the case rim. https://www.typicalshooter.com/shooting-steel-ammo-in-your-ar-15/

I also left because I couldn't do what I'm doing now while still working there, would have been a conflict of interest.

  33. I'm currently reading The Real Anthony Fauci by RFK Jr. The ebook version is only $2.99 on Amazon and it's currently #1 on Amazon. I expected it to be a hit piece, but it's a thorough timeline of activities by Dr. Fauci and his acolytes to suppress use of prophylactic and therapeutic drugs, including but not limited to HCQ and Ivermectin. I'm shocked by what I've learned. It's much worse than we have been led to believe. Read ebook pages 88-100 deal with HCQ. 100-145 deal with Ivermectin. (and maybe more on IVM. I'm just at page 145 so far.) There are over 450 footnotes in Chapter 1. If you buy the ebook, you can click on the link and read the original document. Pages 134-142 is a transcription of a Zoom call with one of the most influential people in the world about Ivermectin. You will come to the same conclusion I did. He has been bought. He so much as admits it in the back and forth dialogue. I'm not sure I can post a link to buy the book, but surely everyone here buys things from Amazon. Get the ebook and you can start reading immediately. Please... buy this book. Read it. Post a link to it on all the other forums you're on and on your Facebook page.

  42. This may sound amusing coming from your local anarchist, but seeing as you’re retired at quite a young age, get involved in your local government. If this is your inroad, make it a good one. But these are the people who have the most influence over your life. Way more than any of those assholes in Washington or Nashville. These are the places where you can possibly provide influence to help keep where you live just a little bit freer. Get at it and make a difference.

  47. Most of the time you'll find that different guns seem to run better on different ammo. This question comes up a lot, and there never seems to be much agreement on it. Experiment with as many different loads as you can with your particular firearm and make the determination yourself for whatever arms you normally shoot. That being said, given the present circumstances with ammo availability, if you're short on supply you might consider just settling for whatever you can find at a price you're comfortable with ...
