  2. Stand by for date, original date won't work. So I want to put together a big event where we can all show off our bbq rigs, eat some good smoked meat, and bang some steel after the meal. I'll smoke ribs, chuck roast and a pig butt on the smoker. Feel free to bring sides and non alcoholic drinks to contribute. Open carry of fancy leather and engraved pistols is encouraged. Bring out your best. After a big meal of smoked meat and sides we can retire to the back field to bang some steel with pistol and rifle. Address will be posted at a later date or sent via PM. It's in Oliver Springs. Please no alcohol or drugs, they have no place around loaded firearms.

  3. Got this set up in part due to their free optic promotion. Probably the best value build I could imagine. The new TLR 7xHL is super bright.

  4. M&P .45 Shield. Soft shooting and the best compact 45 around.

  5. Then there was a commenter at the bottom of the article- Primarily blaming all the carry laws and us nut cases that are allowed to bear arms- We just always want to whip out our gun and shoot at someone- How about putting the blame exactly where it belongs-squarely on the shoulders of the shooter and leave the rest of us out of it-

  8. You'll need to be a Tennessee resident and not prohibited from owning a firearm. I'll only do face to face.

  15. My primary rifle is a M4gery with iron sights in 6.5G. I also have one with a 20" barrel that I use with whatever scope I want to use at the time. I also have an upper in 5.56mm that I can plink with using a .22lr conversion kit. If you only have funds for one rifle, get it in 5.56mm with a .22 kit. That'll take care of all varmints from mice and moles up to coyotes. I also have an FN-FAL in 7.62NATO that is good for larger varmints. There are chamber inserts in .32acp that are VERY useful for small critters (rabbits, skunk, etc) and are pretty quiet. But the chamber inserts make the rifle a single shot.

  22. Hating to sell, but this gun has been replaced in my safe and I have a huge car repair bill coming up soon. Was my ride or die for many years. Still have the receipt from buying it in 2011. Gen 3 Glock 19, stock except Ghost Bullet slide release and Tru Glo TFO sights. I did take a dremel in the past and reduce some of the trigger guard to solve the Glock knuckle problem. Not noticeable unless your looking it over closely, but feels way better for a right handed shooter. Will include the 2 factory mags, Streamlight TLR1 with booklet and parts to fit other guns. Also have two We The People kydex holsters. One IWB, one OWB. Will take $550 FIRM. Can meet in Newport or Gatlinburg most days. Would prefer(need) to sell but I'm a sucker for deer hunting rifles that tickle my fancy, especially if threaded barrel.

  23. I like the idea of the KSG, but I watched several reviews, and everyone commented/complained about the difficulty in loading the rounds into the tubes being a PITA.

  24. This isn't surprising as BP sucks. I've explicitly told family not to get me BP gift cards for birthdays and Christmas. "IF" I'm at Opry Mills, I will drop in. Same inventory, same overpricing, literally every time. Tell me you never want me to visit again without telling me you never want me to visit again.

  25. I’m not sure about the coyotes yet, just moved to the area. But we have a lot of small ground critters that like to eat the garden and chew on the orchard trees, that’s mostly what I’m thinking of. I do have the AR area covered, but not in 6.5 Grendel which I have been interested in, but haven’t pulled the trigger (pun intended). I like the idea of an IR sight too. Thanks for the advice! Curious how you have your 6.5 Grendel set up and what components/companies you used?

  26. I love the Mossberg, as well, but I keep a Remington 870 right next to the bed.

  29. I believe RRA's Chuck and Mark Larson learned their 1911 craft under Les Baer when they were all working in the Springfield Custom shop, then later when they joined Les when he started his own shop. Mark passed away back in 2013 but RRA survives. I have a 6" RRA and it's an excellent shooter, as you would expect.

  31. Up for grabs is my Glock 21sf Gen 3 police trade in. Comes with 2 13rd mags, and a 10rd mag in factory hard case. It also comes equipped with night sights. Gun is in pretty good condition, does have some wear on it, but no signs of abuse. I'm unsure on the round count, got it in the exact condition as shown and sat it in the safe. Asking price is $250
