  4. My step brother and I got into a scuffle one day and my step dad sent us out to get 2 short peach tree limbs and one long one. He said, "y'all wanna fight, get after it until I say stop." The long one was for him when we just stood there not wanting to hit each other, he used it for motivation.

  9. Take a look at Belt Mountain basepins. Most likely, your crosspin n pin notch has been battered a bit, causing the base pin to back out. I've used a bunch of the belt mountain pins in my hard kicking Blackhawks. They are inexpensive and work like a charm. They use a set screw to hold the pin in. Ya simply can't beat em... leroy...

  12. You fellas talking about getting your ticket has motivated me to get my HF rig set up again. I've been in this house for about four years now, and haven't been on the air except a little 2-meter. I've had an antenna in the box for a couple of years, but today I ordered some brackets and coax and will get it up. Thanks, guys!

  13. FYI since starting this post I have been studying for the HAM radio license. There are plenty of online practice tests, that uses the actual test questions. I’m now consistently getting 85 to 95%, only need 75% to pass. So I should be good to go. I’m going to find a test in a couple of weeks (busy next week). So not hard, not hard at all. Just a few hours of practice and you should be good to go.

  21. I have a small system in my Sheepwagon/camping trailer. The 50 watt solar panels are in briefcase folding style. Using a Bioenno 30 Ah battery, and a Renogy charge controller. Sheepwagon is home made, and wired strictly for 12 vdc, using LED lighting. If some AC is needed, a Renogy Phoenix power station is also aboard. I've used the Sheepwagon solar system to power low power amateur radio equipment, lighting and fans during short camping trips. It's nice when a plan comes together.

  23. Sometimes this being active doesn't work out. I am 73 and work outside regularly. I stay on a tractor or using a chain saw. Two weeks ago I was trying to cut a stump down close to the ground. I twisted my knee while getting down low to saw it and my knee has been hurting for two weeks now. If it ever stops hurting, I plan to start seriously slowing down.
