.45 ACP pistols you wished you kept

I bought an HK USP 45 Tactical while stationed in Germany in 1999. I brought it back to the states with me, and ended up selling it for around $800. It had no import markings, and I had all of the paperwork, box, 12 round mags, etc that came with it. Momma had made the rule that if I wanted a new gun, an old one had to go. This went to fund a 12 gauge Benelli.

I miss that USP.

Believe it or not a Star PD. Alloy frame, no friggin' grip safety and one of the smoothest single action GM type pistols I've ever shot. PIA because of the proprietary magazines it used and the small plastic guiderod buffer it required about every 1000 rounds...I shot it a lot...and carried it a lot. I sold it in the late 90's...so no pic.

I've since "gone Glock" and 9mm...but it was a nice little gun. :pleased:

Mine was a M45 Firestar, reliable and decently accurate. Wish I still had that back.

Taurus PT-145. Man I wanted to like that gun. Grip felt really good, the trigger was nice and crisp and it was about as accurate as a drunk, blind man with tourettes

I had one and traded it and just had to get another one and it jammed constantly.

Kinda like that girl that you really want to be attractive, but you realize no matter how many times you look you can't wish it into being so. Edited by netmindr

I regret selling every 1911 that I had, at one time I had 10 very nice ones, The one I regret more than any I sold off Has to be The Ed Brown Executive Elite, I owned this pistol for nearly 3 years

And another one Bites the Dust,

I think I just sold my all time favorite 1911, one that I swore to myself I would never do,

But for a Down payment on a 2014 Softtail Slim Harley Davidson,  when I pick up the Bike, the loss of my favorite pistol will not sting so bad!

Bersa Thunder Pro compact. That thing loved everything and accurate! I must have put a few thousand rounds down it and the last was as good as the first.
I found a Norinco 1911 with a Wilson barrel and other internals at a dealer few years back. $350 and it came home with me and staying. Its nice.

Meh.  Should've kept the 1911.

Every time I think about selling a gun to buy something non-gun, I remind myself that the government isn't trying to ban whatever that other thing is. :)

I hate selling firearms period, that is for sure, I have a Wilson Combat Beretta 92 on the way however, so I may give  the 9mm a chance for a spell anyway
