What bothers me about this is the officers were obviously out to kill the suspect, I'm not saying he was innocent, but their job is to arrest and prosecute not vigilantism. They are police officers, not hired guns to kill who they don't like.5 points

Young? Man, I'm 41. I kinda don't believe I should have to join the military and go to a foreign country in order to exercise my right to keep and bear arms. I am also old enough to remember when pretty much every "good ol' boy" drove a pickup truck that had a gun rack in the rear window. That rack generally held at least a shotgun and, often, a rifle. Those long guns were present year 'round, not just during hunting season and, no, hunting season isn't different because the Second Amendment is not about hunting. It was not a big deal and no one freaked out nor were they portrayed as 'armed mobs' by most folks because, back then, people weren't drinking the pussification Kool-Aid. Some of us might like to still be able to do that without being harassed and without anyone freaking out. It isn't our fault that the general populace has their heads up their collective asses. I also don't think that most of us are talking about walking down the sidewalk, either alone or in groups, while carrying an AR, etc.4 points

S&W M&P Magpul edition. Pretty much done with it now. Haven't been able to get out and shoot it since the magnifier was added. Also got a CMMG 22 conversion which I've only been able to shoot indoors at 25 yards. Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 23 points

Because people project their own morals and values whether they be good or bad, which are relative terms. Folks who have never experienced evil have a hard time understanding it. "I would never hurt or steal from someone; I can't understand why someone would", is what folks like that say. This is why they don't "believe" in firearms because they refuse to believe there are bad people in this world. They watch tv and read the news is blissful ignorance that the horrible things that happen to folks could actually happen to them. Really, folks don't need to understand evil, they just need to come to terms with the fact that it exists, and evil will not bend to good intentions and hope; it will only bend to superior violence and firepower.3 points

Even thought prices are high, and/or the wait is long, the best is still the best. No short term situation is gonna make DPMS a top line rifle.3 points

Why can't they just admit they f'd up royal? This is the reason there is so much distrust of the LAPD. They are planning to settle out of court so they don't have to admit wrongdoing and they can gag the victims as part of the deal. IMO, these ladies should absolutely not settle out of court. They should sue civilly and push for criminal prosecution of the officers involved. This whole "well he the other officers were shooting and I shot too" argument they always give is BS. Every officer is responsible for their rounds same as me. None of those POS's have any business walking the street free without threat of prosecution, let alone wearing a badge.3 points

Talk about pissed........ My step-son is 19. He's an awesome young man. He graduated High School at 16 and joined the National Guard at 17 with a contract to pay for his college. At Ft. Sill, He finished 1st out of 250 in his "boot camp" training. He then finished 1st out of another group of about the same number in his AIT training at the same location. He finished his first semester of college and half of the second while in the NG before he turned 18 with a 3+ point average. He's been back less than a week from a 1 year deployment to the Middle east and has been working towards getting signed up for another year of college (he took a second semester online while deployed). While deployed he signed up for 6 more years. Well, he found out yesterday that his financial assistance contract with the Guard is no more. No more assistance for college at all. Due to budget cuts of our military. Of course his pay was cut before he got back home. He's been making less than he made when he left, even with time and and rank increase. Talk about a %$*& up situation.... But the good news is this: Welfare is just fine...no cuts in pay or bennies for those folks. They're just fine with their welfare check and all the money they can make from drugs. End of rant.2 points

What would you think if that tube of toothpaste you bought instead was filled with mustard? You wouldn't really know until you squeezed the tube. Likewise, these politicians may wear the label of conservative, Republican or Tea Party but it's not until pressure is applied do we find out what's really inside. Time and again we've squeezed John McCain, Lindsay Graham and a host of others whom we thought were on our side only to be disappointed yet again when bipartisan RINO came out. Liberal politicians never surprise me. They're the same inside as well as out; hypocrites through and through.2 points

Sorry folks, I am a noob to the "innards" of how forums work. I noticed on my profile page there is a green box that says "1 neutral". I cruised through this Feedback and Support trying to figure out what that represented, but didn't come up with anything. I'm sure it's not a big deal, but I am curious. I apologize if I am overlooking something obvious. Thanks, BravoLima2 points

So if 8 "trained" LEO's can expend 12.75 rounds each (102/8 = 12.75) and still not neutralize the "threat" of 2 unarmed women.......then how does the liberal logic work to suggest that the average joe should not be able to have more then 10 rounds to defend himself and his family from all the crazy whackjobs that CA has been releasing do to lack of prison funding......retorical question of course. I know several awesome LEOs (obviously not from LAPD) that would never operate like this, and for their sake I feel bad because it gives peope a bad taste in their mouth for Law Enforcement everywhere. Glad these women are still alive, and I hope they don't settle for anything short of civil and hopefully criminal action against all 8 and the city.2 points

I have curbed my shooting so I wouldn't say I'm good in all areas but I've got enough to wait this foolishness out. I'll be damned if I'm going to pay .28 a round for 22lr or $1 a round for steel cased .223.2 points

I'm aware of the supposed facts that are out there. They have all been debunked. I could debunk all those points once again, but I don't suppose it would do any good since folks are going to believe what they want to believe. I do find it humorous when folks talk about others drinking the Kool Aid when all they're doing is exchanging fruit punch flavor for kiwi-strawberry.1 point

I'm happy to report that I am once again gainfully employed full-time! I did get to do some consulting work during my job hunt period which was great but I'm glad to have something a little more consistent! Aside from being thankful that I found something I think I'll really like, I'm especially thankful that not only do I not need to move out of state (as it was looking I might) but my commute is less than half of what it was and about a headache free as commuting can get.1 point

(b) (1) Notice of the prohibition permitted by subsection (a) shall be accomplished by displaying one (1) or both of the notices described in subdivision (b)(3) in prominent locations, including all entrances primarily used by persons entering the property, building, or portion of the property or building where weapon possession is prohibited. Either form of notice used shall be of a size that is plainly visible to the average person entering the building, property, or portion of the building or property, posted. I'd say around the corner knee high behind a bush doesn't meet this requirement. One could probably also argue that that window is not even part of the entrance since the actual entrance is bumped out from the rest of the building. But as has been stated, there are no test cases and I certainly wouldn't want to be the first one to test it.1 point

Yep. DPMS rifles always seem to work. I put all my AR's together. Since it's the IBM PC of rifles, you can build one with a wide range of quality. I had great luck with an RRA upper, except for their stupid lead time. All of my rifles run really well. Some have some cheap parts, and some have great parts. I trust the MPI tested BCG's more than the cheap ones, even though they all work. If I ever have to rely on one, it will be the one that has the high end perts.1 point

My best load for rifle ( I don't actually own a rifle, but I load them for a close friend and he LOVES them) Would be a Lee 358-158-SWC, with a Hornady gas check, my own recipe for lube, sized .359, CCI magnum primer, RP brass and 15.0g of H110. Thats the starting charge for a 158g jacketed bullet that should give a little over 1600 fps. Imagine the cat bullet velocity might be a tad less as resistance and pressure are lower with lead. Accuracy is excellent out of a Rossi lever gun.1 point

Exactly, Volphin. He needed to say exactly nothing until his lawyer arrived. The police are obviously hostile and he desperately needs someone to keep him out of trouble. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT, talk to the police without a lawyer present... there are waaaaay too many ways to get in trouble without knowing it. To be clear, I have great respect for LEOs and the difficult job they do, I will always cooperate and be pleasant, but the only word I'm going to say is "Lawyer".1 point

Oh yeah, his story totally fails the smell test. It is far and away a load of crap. I would feel comfortable speculating that he isn't a true believer when it comes to gun grabbing. This is simply an opportunistic platform to seek prominence/ elected office. If it came out that the DNC power brokers offered him backing if he hopped on board the anti-2A train I would be less shocked than if there was a video of Obama out there a la EFAD.1 point
