  1. So if I calculated correctly, this is my 1000 post on TGO.  I wanted to take this moment to thank everyone on here for being so cool.  Since joining I have had the opportunity to meet several members here, buy and sell a few things, and learn a lot.  TGODavid has a awesome thing going here and I hope it continues on for future gun lovers can share these same experiences.  I consider TGO members my friends and a extended family.  ROCK ON TGO!!!!!!!!

  5. If Rubio thinks we need more immigration laws than we already have then the cancer of big government has gotten to him. The gang of eight proves it. A fresh face is good but not if he can't see what's outside the box.   Personally I think there are a lot more problems than immigration to worry about, just enforce the laws already on the books and do that with every issue. The whole fricking problem is too many laws and regs and idiots making new ones.         .

  6. I see myself supporting Ted Cruz or Rand Paul long before I'd support Rubio.  I don't believe in granting amnesty of any type to people that knowingly break our laws every day.  I've heard all of the arguments supporting Hispanics, and I agree with a lot of them.  Breaking the law is still breaking the law.  I find it strange to see so many Hispanics walking our streets, stores, and schools, and we know they're here illegally.

  7. Here is the problem with this so called bill. Toomey and Mansion bill. Both of these phony Conservatives think they need to "compromise" with the gun grabbing liberals. Chuck Schumer, the most anti-gun anti 2nd amendment progressive on the left wrote the bill. He is bought and paid for by Bloomberg. Toomey won't even be seen on stage with Schumer in fear his base won't approve. Both of them are posturing with both parties in their districts  hoping not to offend them in hopes they get re-elected.It has nothing to do with safety or "protecting the children". These politicians must be told that they work for us. The Constitution which includes the bill of rights is not up for compromise and shall be protected  at all costs.   And another fact is, the bill isn't even written yet, these politicians are going to vote on a bill then write it.after the fact. Just like "Obamacare' remember  Pelosi's famous quote "we have to vote on it to see what is in it:  This bunch of incompetent idiots have got to go before we don;t have an America we even recognize. :usa:

  9. I vote defensively. I can't overlook the fact that big money runs this country, and ALWAYS WILL. No matter who gets voted into the system, they will never be able to overpower that simple fact. They're much more likely to get sucked in.   We're not in the position to start gaining ground until we stop losing so much of it. Say all you want about the Republicans... we would be in DEEP shit without them. Second Amendment... GONE. It all comes down to who has the most votes. In some cases, the Republican party has too much power, and in others, not near enough. If the conservative side of the aisle fragments, we're screwed.   God bless Rand Paul and some of the others. We need to keep electing people like that. With that said, the number one enemy is the left. Anything we do to weaken ourselves in that fight will be far worse than what Karl rove can do.

  12. I respectfully disagree. I've been volunteering with state and local elections for years and these assholes just don't seem to grasp reality. They lie their asses off and promise the world but do whatever it is they want once they are elected. Is the Republican ideas better suited to me than the demonrats? Of course it is. But voting Libertarian is more in line with what I believe. I think it might be easier to influence someone in that party than the statist morons that are in charge of the Republican party. Stick around and see what you can do with them if you want...it's your right. Me personally...I've had enough.

  14. Ruger 44 Blackhawk is one of favorites. I was OC'ing one of mine a few days ago. It's one of my favorite handguns to carry into the woods, and it went with me when I was turkey hunting. I only OC'd into a gas station and one other stop before I hit the woods.

  18.   I'm with you there.  I don't OC, but don't mind when others do.  It does amaze me sometimes how they 'present' themselves.  Most of the time when I see someone doing so, they are dressed up all tacticool or looking kinda like a nutjob.  Most often OCers that I see are wearing their black BDU pants and some sort of logo T.  I was behind a guy in the grocery line once who was OCing his Hi Point in a nylon shoulder rig with a few extra mags and a couple of 'Handgun Permit' badges dangling from it.  Whatever happened to understated stylishness?

Try this, yall will like it. http://www.ccrkba.org/?p=3209   CCRKBA CALLS FOR UNIVERSAL BACKGROUND CHECKS ON ALL ELECTED OFFICIALS Wednesday, April 10th, 2013 BELLEVUE, WA – “If politicians want universal background checks, we should start with them,” said Alan Gottlieb, chairman of the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. He pointed to recent political scandals in the New York Legislature, which just passed a new restrictive gun control law, where a state senator and state assemblyman were arrested last week, as “one small example.”

  25. I'd say closer to two. Halfway through Obamas second term. I always thought this country would stand and fight if anyone tried to take their guns, but people are so politically correct, and/or to scared of the goverment that they won't dare speak of standing up to gun confiscation or *gasp* a revolution. I said it before, and I still stand by the fact that I will not be afraid of my goverment, and their jack booted thugs, and I will not give up my guns. Sent from the backwoods of Nowhere

  26.   There is no such thing as a midlength when it comes to the 300 although that would remove a lot of the problems out there.   A pistol length gas system will cycle with subsonics or low powered loads even without a suppressor. A carbine length system is hit or miss at best unless you install non standard parts like lightweight buffers or lightweight recoil springs. With a carbine length gas system you are going to be stuck with a few kinds of powders and a few kinds of bullets at best. At worst they might not work at all.   If you want the most flexibility you want a pistol length system. I can use a very wide variety of powders. I have used Lil'Gun, N110, H4227, A1680, H4198, A2015, SMP842 and A1680 to shoot both subs and supers in my gun. The gun cycles perfectly and the only variable is that some powders have lower velocities than others but they ALL cycle reliably. I can shoot 180's at subsonic velocities as well as 245 grain cast bullets at under 800 fps. And I do not need special buffers or springs, just what any 5.56 lower comes with. I have joked that I bet my gun will cycle with blackpowder. I need to get some to try.   With a pistol length gas system you can use an adjustable gas block to artificially lengthen the gas system but you cannot artificially shorten the carbine gas system.   I will make this offer to anyone considering building or buying a 300 Blackout. Contact me first so we can make sure you are successful the first time. Prices are crazy right now and there is no sense in spending a ton of money only to be frustrated.

  30. I think a topped out Dillon 650 is as good as you're gonna get for volume. It's also expensive. So far, I don't need that kind of volume. Maybe one of these days. I stay way ahead on ammo with just my auto indexing turret. Still loading a couple of things single stage.

  33. You know, arguing with you guys is useless. Enjoy the torment that you will endure as these law changes, because most of the commenters on this thread are too deep in the weeds to see the woods, and won't move the needle in gun control.   P.S. 36. Guys, there are a lot of esoteric notions floating around in this thread.  Let me squash some of this before it gets out of hand:   As stated previously there won't be a PayPal option for this.  It's against their TOS and we're not going to creatively try to skirt that and ruin a good relationship with them. We aren't going to do a logo contest to see what people like the best.  The logo will be the TGO icon that appears on our 3" circular decals.  The serial numbers will most likely start with TGO######. Nothing has been determined regarding distribution yet.  An FFL will have to be involved, obviously. We will work with our existing TGO Vendors first when the time comes.  If a Vendor is not in your part of the state, we will have to work around that. Currently the only thing on the drawing board is the standard 5.56 size lower.  We do not have any info about doing a 7.62 size lower.  If that changes, we'll make a post about it.   Thanks.
    1 point
  37. Yeah, I plan on this being the start of a 300 BLK, so I'd just prefer it not be marked 5.56. Not that it makes a big difference, but I figured others would be in the same boat. I'll take it either way.

  38. Logo will likely be the TGO "icon" like we have on our 3" round decals.

  39.   If we do it, we're doing it with the logo.  I'm not getting into a Burger King scenario with these.  We'll offer it one way and if people want it, great.  If not, they can buy some other lower.

  42. we used to have to film hobby RC aircraft with handheld cameras.   One trick we learned was to rotate the viewer screen(it had a screen that shows what you are filming so not *that* long ago) 90 degrees to normal and film from the hip.  You can hold it rock steady that way and simply looking down you can see what you are pointed at due to the rotated viewer.   This gun begs for a modern targeting system of that sort.   I do not even know if such exists, though it would be easy to rig one up.  Anyway, put a screen that shows what you are aimed at on it that can be rotated several ways (and locked down and is recoil hardened etc) and you have a practical from the hip weapon.     Better yet, route the viewer wireless to your shooting glasses .... its coming.   so yes, with tech, such a setup can be made useful.

  43. Let's not point this back at CNN... As responsible gun owners, we should be working and having discussions toward eliminating the sales of guns to mentally unstable and felonious individuals. They did their job and a good one at that. Booo hooo, CNN pointed out that any mentally unstable felon can get a weapon at a gun show. Stop complaining about what they pointed out and work on how we can work together to keep guns in the hands of law abiding and sane citizens.
