Back when I was an Army SEAL sniper I used a matching numbers SKS to take down an enemy sniper at a thousand yards. He was driving a '71 shortbed. Strange coincidence huh? *sorry, can't tell you any more about it, it's classified.10 points

It's a parade. I can't think of a more fitting place for gays to get married.9 points

Or little individual icons for all the different groups you hate. We can have homos, chinese, jews, blacks, cops, etc. If you don't have any icons, it means you just hate Obama :)6 points

Yeah, but they're having the baby seal clubbing float again this year, right? That's the only reason I watch. Nothin' more manly than a parade. Wish them damn gays wouldn't queer it all up.5 points

Some day fella's we'll all realize that this is not going to go away. I don't like it much either, but I live my life as I see fit, and the gays can live theirs, they don't bother me and I don't bother them! Some day, we'll all learn to get along with each other, and I damn sure won't let them stop me from watching a parade if that's what I want to do. Dave5 points

And throat shovin' was around long before that expression. Nobody has to like anything.5 points

Meh? If that's all it takes to ruin a tradition for you I would advise against turning on the TV or opening a newspaper pretty much ever again. Some people are gay. In the next few years their being married is going to hopefully become more common place and we're going to be hearing about it. Also wonder how meaningful a tradition it could have been in the first place if this is all it takes to ruin it? It's not like they're having a Hitler float, or a puppy stomping exhibition...5 points

Whether you like it or not, believe it's part of an agenda or not, or just don't care either way, open homosexuality is a fact of life. As long as nobody makes me watch, tries to force me to approve of it, or asks me to stop finding it disgusting, let them do as they like.3 points

The U.S. government has just passed a new law called: "The Affordable Horse Act" declaring that every citizen MUST purchase a horse, by April 2014. These "affordable" horses will cost an average of $24,000-$155,000 each. This does not include taxes, trailering, training, feed and farrier fees, boarding, show and transportation fees, veterinarian bills or the occasional hospitalization. This law has been passed, because until now, typically only wealthy and financially responsible people have been able to purchase horses. This new laws ensures that every American can now have an "affordable" horse of their own, because everyone is "entitled" to a horse. If you purchase your horse before the end of the year, you will receive 4 "free" saddle pads; not including monthly usage fees. In order to make sure everyone purchases an affordable horse, the costs of owning a horse will increase on average of 250-400% per year. This way, wealthy people will pay more for something that other people don't want or can't afford to maintain. But to be fair, people who can’t afford to maintain their horse will be regularly fined and children (under the age of 26) can ride their parents horse to show on until they turn 27; then must purchase their own horse. • If you already have a horse, you can keep yours (just kidding - no you can’t). • If you don't want or don't need a horse, you are required to buy one anyhow. • If you refuse to buy a horse or can’t afford one, you will be regularly fined $800 until you purchase one or face imprisonment. Failure to ride your horse will also result in fines. People living in the inner-city; low-desert, or who live in cities or areas with no access to stables or show-rings are not exempt. Age, fear of falling, no equestrian experience, neither horsemanship skills, nor inability to ride are acceptable excuses for not using your horse. A government review board (that doesn't know the difference between the withers, fetlock or tail of a horse) will decide everything, including: when, where, how often and for what purposes you can use your horse … along with how many people can ride your horse and determine if one is too old or healthy enough to be able to ride their horse. They will also decide if your horse has out lived its usefulness or if you must purchase specific accessories, (like a $5,000.00 saddle) or a newer and more expensive green Warmblood from Europe. Those that can afford Fancy Hunters will be required to do so...it’s only fair. The government will also decide the name for each horse. Failure to comply with these rules will result in fines and possible imprisonment. Government officials are exempt from this new law. If they want a horse, they and their families can obtain a horse for free, at the expense of tax payers. Unions, bankers and mega companies with large political affiliations ($$$) are also exempt. I was going to order a new horse today, but the website was down, I’m sure they will fix it, I will try again tomorrow!!!! * BEWARE: Watch for bait and switch.* Some people have been receiving a Camel with a requisite Muslim which has been said to be part of OLiar's new immigration program2 points

This is a serious question. What did them scary ole fags do to you guys that makes you so angry and so fearful of them? It doesn't matter if they like to take it up the pooper or lick some guys staff, they are just trying to be happy and you feel it necessary to deny them that right. They aren't trying to make you gay or turn your kids. Its not contagious, its not gonna rub off on you. Its just a preference. What is it about them that you hate so much? Is it because your god says its wrong? Fine, I can get with that. But chances are, your god also teaches you to be tolerant and forgiving of other people regardless of who they are or what they do. What is it? Explain your hate to me. I want to be educated. I want to understand.2 points

I was sitting at home drinking a beer and got nostalgic from my days in the Marines. I dug out the plaque the guys from my unit made for me and presented to me the day I left Okinawa. If anyone ever comes by for a beer or to shoot just ask and I'll let you read it. Its not really appropriate for this forum lol. I hung up my M14 and my Grandpa's Model 12 12 gauge on it as they seemed fitting companions. Tapatalk ate my spelling.2 points

I for one would not rat this guy out to management. He probably makes $8 an hour, that is $320 a week if he gets 40 hours. By the time he pays for taxes, healthcare, and essential of life, what is left with $20? I would have went up to him and gave him a dose of what integrity, respect, and honesty means to his face, and would have used my outside voice for the world to hear. That could change this person's life. On the other hand, if he gets written up, fired, etc. it just builds bitterness and hate. Just my 2 cents. Plus we are just a few days removed from Christmas.2 points

with only 9 days left it is going to cost you 56.00 for the license as well, so you need to determine if your going out this season or next. And the next season you could save for and find a gun shop that will do layaways or wait for next fall and lay one away at Wal-mart and have more choices. what every you decide have fun once you get to hunt and welcome to the site.2 points

It's a BS statement... how they specifically mention they consulted with advocacy groups and then decided. Screw them, they're too wimpy to stand up to a couple of people with 12 million people standing right behind them. I hope DD goes to another channel as soon as the contract is up.2 points

I know this product has been mentioned many times around here, but I wanted to give it my own stamp of approval. When it comes to sharpening knives I'm truly "sharpening challenged". I've tried about every gadget out there and have spent hours behind flat stones with mediocre results. I thought I hit the jackpot when I bought a Chef's Choice 3-stage sharpener a few years back. I could actually get sharp kitchen knives. It wouldn't get anything razor sharp, but it sure was sharper than I've ever gotten a knife. After hearing about the Sharpmaker from you guys I decided to get one for myself for Xmas. I had a cheap S&W knife in my pocket that day when it arrived from UPS. I had previously "sharpened" the knife in the Chef's choice and it was crap. $10 knife and cheap steel just will not sharpen. This thing is better suited as a screwdriver. Anyways, I unbox the Sharpmaker, go through the motions as described in the manual, then laid the knife against my arm and shaved a patch of hair right off! OMG WTF just happened?!?!?? I turned around and sharpened some of my good knives and all now have razor edges. If you are as challenged as I am, I highly recommend you go buy a Sharpmaker today.1 point

I agree. I didn't say there was a shortage. It's just sellers trying to make a profit on an item that has high interest from potential buyers. But...another thing adding to this is that the guy I've bought from tells me that no matter how many he gets, some of his biggest sales come from others wanting to buy and resell. Salvage stores, flea market stores, GUN stores, etc. So prices get inflated as they spread thru the market place.1 point

That's their trap. Make everyone get rid of cable so that you can't keep tabs on them. Next thing that you know, the whole world it's covered in gay.1 point

For what it's worth, if you are unhappy with your service and in good standing (pay your bill on time) with them, a simple phone call threatening to swith to another company will often get you a reduced monthly rate.1 point

Can we already just add icons like the HCP and NRA to the profiles. That way we can all easily know who's in what camp. Maybe pro-homo and anti-homo icons. I think many of us know who here is supportive of what side, but this way all we have to do is look at the badge . This will just save us all time and energy. I haven't looked for icons yet, but examples are welcome.1 point

You need to make sure it's a rimfire scope. Center fire scopes have their parallax zeroed at 100 yards. Here's a decent one for 50 bucks. Parallax is zeroed at 50 yards... http://www.midwayusa.com/product/211994/simmons-22-mag-rimfire-rifle-scope-3-9x-32mm-truplex-reticle-matte-with-rings Looks like the rings may be crappy (the free ones usually are).1 point

I wish I could be that way when selling items but I have an issue of when I am selling anything I point out all the flaws it has and then let the person make a decision if they want to buy it or not. I was taught as a child that your reputation is who you are and I want folks to leave my home with a good taste in their mouth if they have purchased something from me that I told them if the item had any issues I didn't hide them............jmho1 point
There is a high road and a low road to teach this person lessons of life. I chose the high road.
I didn't say ask for him to be fired, but I don't consider telling management about poor decisions as low road. In the end, it is up to them what to do with him. As an employer, I would want to know. I probably wouldn't fire him, but I would put him in another area of the store that wasn't as fun. The kid probably though, phew, got away with that one. He will do the same thing again and we will then keep complaining about these "inside" jobs.1 point

Understand the power of the pen. You should of talked to the manager. Right than pointed the guy out. And tell the manager that you would be contacting walmart HQ. Gotten home sit down type it up nice and well written. Shot it off to walmart HQ and that stove manager will be getting a reply. If anything you will stop it from happening to the next guy. You can get mad and vent here. Put direct that energy.1 point

There really is no point in Republicans taking the Senate unless they are true conservatives and NOT politicians and I just don't see that happening. A Republican majority? Possible A Republican majority that will actually make a difference? ZERO chance of that I think. One thing that the Republicans have proven is that, as a group, they have no core convictions that they will actually fight for and won't even follow their own platform. When the had control of both houses AND the Presidency they did NOTING of real substance and they will continue to do nothing of substance unless a majority of elected Republicans love liberty first, conservatives/[r]epublicans second and Republicans a distant third. We have have too many SQRLs (squirrals) Status Quo Republican Losers in the party who are willing to go along to get alone.1 point
