Today we graduated as class 64 of the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy. I am proud to have been part of this group. I own it all to my wife, who held down the house while I attended school for a year. I love you, Amy12 points

Hey if its paid its debt to society, is hard working and on track, I don't see what his criminal history has to do with anything. Even if your oven had been a total boy scout the hot pocket still wouldn't have been worth the wait.4 points

No. It is a hot pocket, it will be disgusting no matter how it is reheated.4 points

good luck to anyone who wants to leach my internet, the stuff barely works in every room of the house much less outside of it.4 points

No, I don’t want the Feds involved in anything. They don’t have the authority to regulate carry and once they get it; they will screw it up. This is a States Rights/Law Enforcement issue and each state will have to deal with it. These people are not on our side. They are doing the ridiculous to force gun control.4 points

TGOers better stay off the grass, get a haircut this weekend and get cracking on their NCOERs. I swear if there are two NCOERs which have the same bullet comment heads will roll! Oh, and keep your hands out of your pockets!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk3 points

Dang, wrong box. I had a gf once that referred to something as her box! It brought back memories from 1988! :cool:3 points

Yeah, but a hit from that thing would have certainly torn Napoleon's bonaparte.3 points

Glock 19 should be in every gun guys stable. It does everything you need a handgun to do.3 points

Ok, why does your post seem a little strange when I consider it's your only post and it's raving about one company...3 points

Killed back in January in Wyoming with a bolt action .223 Pretty much ends the debate in my mind as to whether .223 can be used on hogs.2 points

There once was a deputy called Fife, Who carried a gun and a knife. The gun was all dusty, And his knife was all rusty, Because he never caught a crook in his life. Watching one of the Andy Griffith shows, either its been too long, or I have a case of amnesia! It just hit me funny! I needed a good laugh! Agreed with Enfield, and for what its worth, I'm not a hunter at all of any kind. The thing that most people don't seem to think about in regards to trophy hunting is that the object is to go for trophy animals. Trophy animal is another way of saying old animal. When animals get old it means two things; 1. They have done their job. They have contributed to the gene pool, helped balance the population of their prey/food, and are in their last years. 2. Old animals die. In nature death is ugly, typically brought on by infection, starvation, or "removal" via younger/aggressive/mating members of the population. One thing is guaranteed, it's not going to be pleasant or pretty. Most likely much more unpleasant than being harvested. I used to have a dislike for the idea of trophy hunting, then I talked to some trophy hunters and read a book on trophy deer, it opened my eyes.2 points

If you are going to harvest for population control and food it is always wisest to take the oldest and the largest of the species so most likely it will end up being a trophy.1 point

After a range trip I soak my guns overnight in a tub of gun cleaner. Most debris comes right off. If any rings are left on the cylinder face I use a toothbrush and Happich Simichrome; comes right off like it was never fired. Guns that have never been fired are like Corvettes that have never been driven in the rain.1 point

Everyone should own a 1911. Congratulations. Nothing wrong with a Colt either.1 point

A Carfax report can't hurt, but I wouldn't put much faith in the information supplied. I've seen and read countless stories about how often accidents, major repairs, etc. are NOT listed on the Carfax report. It's always best to go over the vehicle thoroughly, or have an expert do so for you.1 point

congrats, cmon down to the range so we can pin that extra star and stripe on when its time! hooah1 point

The headspace is set at the factory. The ONLY time you need to set the headspace on an AR barrel is if you are the one putting the barrel extension on. You would have to do some serious searching to find an AR barrel that is being sold without an extension installed. Timing a muzzle brake is not an issue. Install a crush washer then tighten until it is where you want it.1 point

Not trying to stir anything up, but I have seen this many times in Wyoming. Obviously ranchers and trappers aren't doing it to make a political statement. It wasn't uncommon to see 3 or 4 guys sitting in a cafe in Pindale or Riverton with a couple carbines setting next to them. No one ever looked twice, other than maybe tourist. It all comes down to ones intent and the public perception of their intent. Again poor execution of exercising rights, but, I bet if someone was planning on robbing smash burger that day, they changed their mind.1 point

Try both and pick the one you like best. I've shot several G19's and my wife has a Shield9. They're both nice. I'd probably pick the Shield.1 point

This is a picture of these oxygen thieves. My wife said she'd be creeped out by these two weirdo looking dudes hanging out in the kiddie section even without the guns and dressed nicely. Seriously, they took AR15s and hung out in the baby section to scare the s*** out of new mothers. And this isn't yielding positive results??? I really want to punch these people in the mouth. Cowardly sacks of skin trying to intimidate women. They need to be raped to death by a herd of rhinos. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

I'll be using a live trap ONLY to avoid getting up in the middle of the nite to shoot coons. With a live trap, I can shoot them in the morning after my first cup of coffee. :D1 point

Ya need to make you pen varmet proof, I have the wire(1"x2") layed out on the ground about 12" to 18" out from the bottom of the pen. I used 4' high wire and used chicken wire over the top of that as well, so far so good. That and dogs, 8 of them.1 point

My mom used to cross stitch a lot. She made one to hang in the bathroom: My aim is to keep this bathroom clean. Your aim would help. That hung right next an acquired "Caution: Natural Gas Pipeline" sign.1 point

"I personally am an endowment lifetime member of the NRA and an inductee into the Golden Eagles program," C.J. Grisham, president of "Open Carry Texas," told a CBS Dallas affiliate. "And I will rip up my cards and burn my certificates on camera if they don't change their stance."1 point
-
Maybe those open carry groups need to jettison their members that go trolling for attention. They will never achieve their goals because their members do stupid stuff. As long as they back those clowns they will be defined by them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Gold is nearly useless for post-SHTF purposes. Its too valuable. Last i checked gold was around $1600 an ounce, what are you gonna buy with that? Even the 1/10th oz. gold eagles are worth $160 still a large denomination. Silver is much better in this aspect. Gold is excellent for pre-SHTF wealth preservation. I personally believe for precious metals, that Silver Eagles and pre-65 90% silver quarters and dimes are best for purchasing things post-SHTF. While precious metals are good to invest in, i believe even more valuable at least immediately after an event would be trade goods. Alcohol, tobacco, chocolate, toilet paper, canned food, bottles water, flashlights, batteries, common types of ammo, pocket knives, common durable clothes, etc. will be in high demand. I believe it would be easier to trade something immediately useful than some silver. And no one really knows how it would really play as we as a country havent experienced anything like this yet1 point
