Not impressed. It's another case of "Solutions to nonexistent problems" Why these ammo companies constantly try to ice skate up hill is beyond me. High velocity low mass is garbage for close range self defense. Plain and simple truth, Holes kill stuff. Slow and heavy penetrate. It is beyond contestation that a heavy slow bullet will penetrate and penetrate well. 165g @ 1100+ fps will never penetrate like the traditional 230g bullet @ subsonic speeds. I don't even like the .45 acp cartridge but it is undeniable that it supremely proficient at putting holes in scumbags. Large holes bleed. Blood loss causes death. Increase the size and number of the holes; expedite the process.6 points

This guy tested 46 different lubes/CLP's etc. The test is very long but I'll post the summary for those too lazy to read it. http://forums.outdoorsdirectory.com/showthread.php/141077-Results-of-gun-care-product-evaluation In regards to Lubricity, Odor, and corrosion prevention the top performers are Hornady's One Shot, Frog Lube, and WD 40 Specialist. He did have doubts about Frog Lube's cleaning ability. I know some people have been unhappy with it but after seeing this test I will continue to use Frog Lube or switch to One Shot at some point. Please note his comments on WD 40 though "With this evaluation behind me, I an unlikely to consider the WD 40 specialist as a gun care product because it wasn't marketed as a cleaner (not meant to be a cleaner so I cant knock for that) and it didn't rank terribly high for lubrication but I will be using it for many other outdoor applications and tools where I want to delay corrosion."4 points

Life lesson: 1. Actions have consequences. 2. Life isn't fair. Regardless of who is right or wrong, you made choices and those choices affected your ability to achieve other goals. Own the negative ramifications of your choices, learn from it, sack up and drive on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk4 points

Well brother's and sister's after reading your responses on another thread, I made a move on my first AR ever. I went with the Ruger AR 556. It is SWEET! I've done made some noise with it. Thanks to all who steered me in this direction! Dave3 points

I just saw that WW2 tank movie today. Very nicely done, but it isn't your typical John Wayne war epic. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-OGvZoIrXpg P.S. I really don't have the words to express how I feel about this. It's just impossible to convey the feelings of disgust for such scum as walking meat-sacks like this are. I will refuse to use the term people/person, because that imbodies them with a form of reasoning and humanity they lack. At best...may they burn in Hell.3 points

As a Columbia resident, this hits home hard with me. I can't really express my feelings exactly. May God lay his hands on this young mans hurting family, and may the ones that killed him truly be punished as they should. The court system is not strong enough for them. I'll be hunting for the very first time this year. My uncle moved up here recently from S. Carolina and has been a deer slayer for a long time, but had no place to hunt up here. We made a deal: I find the land and he'll teach me how to hunt. I have a cousin in Wilson Co. that said we can hunt his place, so my half of the bargain is done. We're going to go scout it on Sunday afternoon. I can't wait for November 22nd.2 points

A non-vote is tabulated by the counter as a no vote. It is not registered as a "non-vote". Thus a non vote is automatically a no vote. He wasn't making a subjective equivalence statement. It was an objective statement of procedure.2 points

One more point about Amend 1 and voting or not voting. If 50% + 1 vote of the Governor's election total votes is not reached by this amendment, then it fails. Anyone that does not vote is automatically counted as a "No" vote. Finding reasons not to vote, or just not marking the vote one way or the other is still a "No" vote. You don't have to vote for the Governor to still vote for this amendment, or anything else on the ballot. You have a choice.2 points

My mom used to say it a lot while I was growing up. Didn't make sense until I became an adult. Accepting that life isn't fair is one of the first steps people can take toward not being a victim, grabbing life by her big ol' fun bags and doing something constructive with one's life. I find it hard to sympathize with folks who play a role in their misfortune. I know a few folks who have cancer way before their time. Those people are true victims that had no part in their misfortune. Most of us are the architects of our own universe, good or bad. Very few people are true victims. When ya build 'em, ya get what ya want... The barrel and the trigger (...and with the AR; possibly the bolt carrier...) is the heart of an AR ... Buy the best barrel, trigger, and bolt ya can; then pick up all the other "goodies" ya like... Most all machines are the sum of their parts (...assuming they are assembled correctly and in specification...)... It's been my experience in the rifle and pistol business, that warranties dont mean much... I'm an old geezer, been shootin since the 60's; never had a warranty claim... It's a testament to haw good the parts are and how well they are assembled... leroy1 point

Bingo, you hit it squarely on the head. Right now liquor stores have a unfair market because they don't have that much competition (I would call it a monopoly.) I don't get such protection for the small business I own, so why should they? I don't need to pay 20% more for wine from a liquor store when I know exactly what I want. If I want a suggestion, I will go to a liquor store and pay a little more for better service and selection. Otherwise, I rather just buy my wine while I am at Kroger. At the same time, I think liquor stores should be able to sell more than just wine and liquor and store owners should be able to own multiple stores in the state. I freely admit that they are getting shafted somewhat by their own government sponsored monopoly. It's not the government's job to make things fair (equal outcomes), but to protect the free market (everyone has equal opportunity.)1 point

I don't see much difference acutally other than the profits go to a primary owner(s) in TN. This isn't affecting the little man so to speak. I suspect the supply chain isn't much different between a grocery store and the private business so I don't see a huge issue as that money is going to the same place. As Erik stated, it seems to me that in places where both exist, the liquor/wine stores still do pretty well. For me it is about convenience. I don't see a big enough issue to not approve it. I just wish I had the right to vote for it. Because I live in unincorporated Franklin I can't even vote on it. Mike, I realize you are close to the situation, but I think people are more worried about making it easier for themselves vs. giving a most likely well off owner a bit more money. I know a few people who own liquor stores and none of them are hurting. I don't think this will make or break them. In many ways this is exactly equivalent to the buy online vs. LGS argument or even using amazon vs local stores. People always go for convenience and price most of the time.1 point

The idea that the money you contribute to SS or the unemployment system goes into an account just for you is entirely false. The money you and I are forced to pay into the system is being used to pay benefits to current recipients, and massive amounts of beuracratic overhead. The money current recipients paid in was squandered long ago, and they should've been keeping a better watch on their elected representatives at that time to fix the damage before it got to this point. The government has no business in the retirement planning industry; if for no other reason than as we can all see they're pretty terrible at it. Stealing from one to give to another is wrong, even if the recipient was at one point robbed themselves. As for it being easy to save of you're not paying taxes or scamming the system, I'm sure it is. That has nothing to do with folks who are playing by the rules but not saving money. That's nobody's fault but their own.1 point

Anyone who has met me or who has talked to me will say I am the nicest guy and go way out of my way to help people out. I am never looking for a fight, either verbal or physical. My phone call started with me asking for the assistant manager's boss. I was nice and polite until he said the only person I am going to talk to was him. And even then I did not cuss, yell or do anything other than ask for the number for his boss. Had he done nothing wrong he would have gave the number out willingly. But when I was unwilling to accept the fact he was not going to give me the number he began telling me to come inside to settle this and when that did not work he began the personal attacks by calling me stupid. I know a lot of people have reasons to have a bad day, I have plenty, but you will NEVER hear of me ever taunting people to fight or name calling.1 point
