Taking a wee break from the golf course, Rory Mcllroy drives his new Mercedes into an Irish gas station. An attendant greets him in typical Irish manner, unaware who the golf pro is... "Top o' the mornin to ya". As Rory gets out of the car, two tees fall out of his pocket. "So what are those things, laddie?" asks the attendant "They're called tees," replies Rory. "And what would ya be usin 'em for, now?" inquires the Irishman. "Well, they're for resting my balls on when I drive," replies Rory. "Aw, Jaysus, Maryan' Joseph!" exclaims the Irish attendant. "Those fellas at Mercedes think of everything!!!!!7 points

Why not? Every 1911 manufacturer out there has been doing it for years. :stir:4 points

I wasted 5 years of my life at Sears. 2005-2010, so I was there for the tail end of when they were a good company. They begged me not to leave when I did, then they eliminated my position, and then closed my store. I had seen the writing on the wall and knew I needed to do something else, and fast. No regrets. That said Sears was at one time in my opinion a piece of Americana. Sears catalogs, Craftsmen tools, etc. Those days are all long gone, that's over, it's nothing but a company that is on life support and nothing but a tax write off for the more profitable sectors of the conglomerate that it is a part of. I remember the day that I got an email from corporate outlining how to explain to customers, when we were asked, why Craftsman tools are now being made in China. That was when I really knew that it was over.4 points

If the people of Newtown win this suit, the next time someone hits me with their car, I'm going to sue the car manufacturer. After all, there will be a "case history" of manufacturer liability huh? Dave3 points

As promised, here are the prototypes of the knives, keep in mind these pictures are not done professionally as Dave just shot them on his Iphone to get them to me, the knives will look OUTSTANDING!!!! Here is the regular bladed model3 points

I sold the last bottle of 20 year old Pappy Saturday night. IIRC it was 207 otd. Nice couple who had dropped a couple of bills on a split case and also got a bottle of Calumet Bourbon. We talked bourbon for a minute and he seemed like and ideal candidate for the 20 year old. He looked like he won the lottery.3 points

Sears has really been a financial company masquerading as a retail store for the last decade. If you look at any of their recent earnings statements, you'll see that they made more off of interest on their cards than they did profit on goods sold. So really, thei stores just became a convenient vehicle to push their credit card. They lost me as a customer when they refused to warranty a wrench that was cracked straight from the package. They claimed I must have abused it, even though I produced a receipt from a few hours earlier and simply wanted to replace it. At that point, I figure there's no difference between craftsman and a kobalt or similar, so I walked out and haven't been back. Word is their current investor "loaned" them the $400 million they needed to purchase inventory for the holidays leveraged against their real estate. Like Radio Shack, I expect this'll be their final Christmas.3 points

If they win I want the lawyers name. I want to sue Bic for making pens that keep misspelling words.2 points

I am not one to feed into the truthers and I do not wear a tinfoil hat.. And I am sure some.. if not most if not true but to be honest... I dont know what to believe anymore about the Newtown shooting. So many articles and pictures ( they can be photoshopped) say now it never happen`d and I am not sure it did.. Too many things do not add up .. and I am confused. I read a lot of articles where stuff just do not add up anymore.. to many inconsistencies.. If that is true.. we have way worse things to worry about that someone suing someone for another gunlaw to be enacted..2 points

This lawsuit is the kind of case that makes me wish our country had a "loser pays" policy on court costs and lawyer fees. If there was some kind of risk associated with bringing frivolous suits, there'd be fewer of them.2 points

Were they wearing steel helmets? This won't last 30 seconds in court, I'm sure. I had no plans to buy any bushmaster stuff but now I'm feeling more sympathetic towards them.2 points

$30 is a hell of a price for a haircut. I mean it sounds nice and all, but when all I need is five minutes with a pair a clippers, I am fine once a year paying some grumpy woman who hates her job $10 and then tipping her $5 to get my annual haircut.2 points

I received my gift today and words cannot express how much I appreciate the lengths my Secret Santa, and his helper, went through to find me a perfect gift. I was honestly at a loss for words upon reading the letter. Caring enough to to do what you did on my behalf is humbling. I am sure it was not easy to find me the perfect gift but you did and I truly appreciate it more than words can say. And I can honestly say that anyone who would do what you guys did, and give me the gift you did, is a true friend. I want you guys to know that if there is ever anything you need please feel free to ask. And for those of you who are wondering what my Secret Santa gave me, they gave me money. But what they gave me was more than just money. They also wrote a heartfelt letter, that made this gift very, very personal. And cash allows me to buy the perfect gift which, in the end, is all my, or any, Secret Santa wants for the person getting the gift. In closing I would like to say thanks. Thanks to my Secret Santa for giving me the perfect gift and a personal letter. I would like to say thanks to Metalhead for putting this on. I would also like to thank TGO David for providing us with a place for our TGO family to come together, share our lives , our stories as well as the highs, and the lows, with other members of our TGO family.2 points

^ This right here. Can't say it any better. I will say there's a right way and wrong way to do those little 2 minute jobs, get paid, AND leave your customer feeling great. As someone who's done a bit of guitar setup and repair, I can tell you I have no trouble charging someone $40-$50 to adjust a truss rod(loosening or tightening a nut) adjust their action,(play with some screws" and intonate their guitar (playing with different screws). I also had no trouble charging someone $60 to wrap an eraser with wet dry paper and take out the dent in the fret of their new guitar. Both jobs average 25-30 minutes and take minimal investment. Heck, intonate to your own ear and you can do it with common household tools. But people didn't pay me to play with screws and loosen/ tighten nuts, they payed me because I knew what to do, and how to do it. The biggest thing in keeping people happy was doing a good job, and doing the job AWAY from them. Had the smith in this case taken the gun in a back room, fixed it and brought it out in less than a minute, I'd bet we would be hearing about his magical fixing prowess.2 points

The suspension is different on a 3/4 ton but the frame is the big one that can't be changed on 1/2ton. I'd recommend a 3/4ton. The 2500 has either a 6.0 or 6.2 they do burn more fuel but not too bad. Won't be a whole lot of difference if both trucks are setup the same, gears, 4x4, same trans etc. Thing is, most 1/2tons are setup for economy whereas most 3/4tons are setup for work. A 3/4ton will be a tougher truck also. If you do go with a 1/2 ton upgraded, get air bag helpers in the rear.1 point
-
You want to do air ride and be done with it. Don't get consumed with the other options, and you don't need anything fancy.1 point
-
I had air bags installed on my F350. Not cheap, but they'd level the truck with 2 tons in the bed (which was still within the truck's rating:). You can't change the GVWR of the truck by modifying it. If it would carry 1000 pounds before, it's only rated for the same 1000 pounds after you modify it. But you can get your headlights out of the trees and back on the road.1 point

I have one, guess I should leave it on. Old habits are just hard to break. Regarding deals, I waited 3 mos last year, and ended up catching one at Optics Planet using one of their 10% off coupons and free shipping. Have not seen a better deal since.1 point

Don't you love it when people try to make their own adjustments? I read a story once where a guy's girlfriend made all the saddles flush with each other and told her boyfriend, "I noticed these were all crooked so I fixed it!" I know a fair amount of stuff about fixing my own guitars, but there's a drop in skill level where I focus more on playing and less on trying to be a luthier.1 point

Brass thickness (most likely), the die that resized it, bullet. Many things could have caused it but as long as it fits the chamber and magazine I would not worry.1 point
