1. I got this bad boy while I was grilling out on my back deck. About 20 yards. I always have the trusty Ruger GP 100 with me when I grill. We see these all the time, he jus got too close............

 2. Typical liberal.  Laws are for you but not me.  Anyone who claims they didn't know they had a gun in a holster shouldn't be allowed to carry at all.  He may be too stupid to know when he is carrying a firearm, but the person who called police didn't have a problem seeing it.  He needs to plead guilty and serve the full sentence as he woud expect any other violator to do.

 3. I picked up a Kahr CM9 at G&L last night. I had a M&P 40c. Great gun. But I wanted something smaller and a little easier to conceal and more comfortable to carry. The Kahr fits the bill and I have yet to read a negative review about it. I like the way it shoots, too.

 4. Probably. They might not have thought as much into it that so many folks would find it offensive. Of course, I qualify what is "offensive" by intent. Things intended to be offensive should be classified as such. Things which are taken differently than the author's intent should be classified as misunderstandings. It's the reason why words which could be classified as slurs towards race, religion, ethnicity, age, gender, etcetera, are not offensive to me unless the intent of the use was to be offensive. It's why comedians can say such offensive things in certain context without most folks getting huffy about it. It's why, in my old job, we could make jokes regarding stereotypes of coworkers and they don't get offended, as no offense was intended. I don't think Coca-Cola meant to offend anyone or suggest something sinister or un-American, so I'm gonna choose not to be offended. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

 5. I'm not sure yet but I may try to sneak out of the house and go to the OK Corral tomorrow. I wanted to go today but the weather seemed too iffy when I got up, weather folks saying it may turn to rain. I said screw it and hung out with the family all day. It was actually nice. I'd like to get out there tomorrow, hopefully it all works out. Just curious if anyone else was getting in any range time tomorrow.    Luke, I'll call ya if we head out there in case you have any ammo that's about to expire and need to get rid of it :)

 6. So let me get this straight, he's in the school armed, they lock the school down and he heards his kids in to the cafeteria and locks the door to protect them. At no time during any of this does he remember ha has a firearm? Why does he carry a firearm? If that sequence of events didnt trigger a response in his brain he has no business carrying a firearm. They would throw the book at me, even if I "Forgot," they should do the same to him.

 9. He lobbied for a law that would make carrying a gun into a school a felony. Now he is arrested on felonies for doing just that. We give him a break because he says he forgot? I don’t think so so.

 12. So, a law who's only real outcome was to make criminals out of law abiding, stand up citizens, just made a criminal out of a law abiding stand up criminal. I'm sorry, but this guy should do the full sentence. If anyone should have known better, it should have been him, a supporter of the law. Maybe that would open some eyes and make people think about these zero-tolerence, gun free zones really don't server the citizens.   The article sure made him look like a great guy, too, didn't it? Do you think any of us, NRA card carrying, second amendment loving, gun owning "nut-jobs" would get the same courtesy?

 15. Or moving to places like Tennessee because we are a lot cheaper than Canada. Problem is they are true liberals. They only want to be conservatives when it comes to certain things, everything else they would support. Then after they have instilled the agenda here and it again becomes too liberal for them they move onto another state to ruin them.   They supported the liberal agenda until THEIR government struck a nerve and they decided to move. So when they come here they might want some firearm freedoms but they also want all the social programs and other liberal benefits that they have lived with and supported for the last 3 decades.   We are seeing it now with a lot of liberals moving here because their home state became too liberal but they want to turn Tennessee into the utopia that was their home state right before their leaders went too far in their home state. It is easier for them to move here than to fight for their own state. Then when things get too bad here they leave us to fight the battle they started.   Personally I would not be against an immigration system for our state. You cannot become a resident of Tennessee unless you meet certain requirements. If you get caught living here without it you get shipped off, in the middle of the night, to your previous state of residency. And even after you are permitted residency you cannot vote in state or local elections for 7 years. Not sure what the requirements would be but one would be that you must pay taxes, either income or property, to be allowed to become a Tennessean.

 17. I think if they continue to regulate certain NFA items there should be some sort of frequent flyer program. Initially you go through an extensive background. After that you fill out a form that asks you disqualifying questions. If you lie on the form you could be charged criminally for lying on the form as well as possession of an illegal NFA item. Personally nothing should be regulated, only regulate who can own them. If you are allowed to own a single shot 22 you should be allowed to own a MG, a tank or a fighter jet if you want to. If you can't own that 22 because you are violent or insane then you should not be allowed to own any type of firearm.

 18. I have several threads about my recent interest in older firearms and working my way back. I have finally made it back to my first C&R purchase and would like to share some photos of it with everyone. I am no expert but am interested in any experience you have with it. I think I have a 1956 S&W pre39 in good shape to be about 57 years old. Thinking about getting it lettered so I have the facts on it. My understanding is it is the first American made DA/SA pistol to make it into regular production. It also seems the serial numbers started at 1000 and went to about 2500 on the pre39 models. I have 15xx. Again any knowledge you can share about them and their history would be great. Also I wouldn't mind getting it closer to original, so if anyone has a box, paperwork, mag, etc that is the same age I would be interested in it. Now for some eye candy. Thanks

 19. As some of you know I recently purchased a gently used Seecamp LWS32. The pistol is intended for weak hand front pocket carry as a BUG to my primary weapon. The size and constructon of the pistol was what first drew me to it and the very positive reviews is what sealed the purchase. Unfortunately after getting it a few weeks ago, I was not able to get any range time with it until today. First let me say this is a defense gun only. Its not a suitable range gun or tactical weapon. It has no sights and will only feed quality defense hollow point ammo (ball ammo is too long to fit in the magazine). So its expensive to shoot and hard to aim using your eye. That being said, it is a very effective defense weapon when using the military combat point and shoot training method originally developed for the 1911. When I tried sighting down the barrel, I missed horribly. But when exercising proper grip and alignment, I was able to simply point the firearm like I'd point my finger and score very respectable hits on the target at 5 yards. After 40 rounds of Hornady 60 grain XTP with no issues, I can now honestly say "I love this gun". For anyone debating on a pocket carry piece, the Seecamp is absoluty one to consider. 10x10 target at 5 yards (15 feet) using point and shoot aiming.

 30. I pass WD everyday. I'm honestly surprised that place is still in business. They have always asked too much for everything, not just ammo. I have not, and will not, purchase anything from them. There's nothing I want bad enough to warrant me using them especially when Bill's Outpost is just down the road.

 31. Makes me sick every time I look at my Kahr. ..Worcester MA...hypocrisy and idiocy in action...they'll bleed Kahr for taxes and fees to operate while screaming their products are evil incarnate AND make it more difficult to manufacture and retail their products thus reducing the revenue stream. Come on down to Tennessee, we'd love to have the job and revenues.

 36. OTOH, I thought we'd established that laws don't prevent bad guys from having guns.   Personally, my thought is that if you can't trust someone with a gun, you probably can't trust them on the street. But the legal system is what it is I guess.

Throw my name in the hat.  I just got my buddy Jay into hunting.  He got his first deer last year.  We saw a ton of turkeys during deer season and he is fired up about learning how to turkey hunt.  I am taking him to the NWTF show this coming weekend to start showing him all the cool stuff that turkey hunters can spend their money on.

 45.   That is one of my favorite Zeppelin songs. I really liked the long bluesy songs that never got airplay. I think that is where the band really shined.   Another one of my favorite Zep songs comes from the Presence album; "Tea for One". I think this album pretty much went unnoticed by most people. I can't think of any songs that really made it big from that album.   Here it is from the boys:   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uiSQc0gSQk0   And, if anyone could do it better, it would of course be Joe Bonnamassa:   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y40o5ddhxcI
