  1. Just got finished with the belt, the holster and mag pouch were done a while ago , but I wanted to photo them all together. Holster and pouch are left hand Avenger style for a GLOCK 43.

  2. Question: "But why did you shoot him 15 times Officer?" Answer: "Because I didn't have 16." I tip my hat to the Officer.

  3. I believe mine to be a cutdown long rifle. It’s a Gustavs Stads Gevarsfaktori make. I have a blank firing device for the threads on the end but i picked up a muzzle cap to keep from boogering them up.

  4. So, they are trying to pass House Bill 1264 which creates a new Concealed (only) Carry Permit and makes the current one an "Enhanced" Permit. I think this is a crock of excrement, why not just pass a constitutional carry law instead? Seems like it's a $$ grab, or/and a bone to throw out there to keep/garner our support. Am I missing something? Second issue, so you guys may or may not of heard that SCOTUS has just accepted a 2A case which may have major implications, hopefully, it will go our way. But you know what...not one peep from the NRA, only GOA sent info on it and TFA, which lent it's support to GOA, yet they sent me an email urging support for this law. I'm fixing to start bombarding the NRA with emails and phone calls to see why they aren't stepping into the ring. They should be busy backing each and every case which can, and should, land with SCOTUS. Like this one: https://www.kansas.com/news/politics-government/article126014949.html

  5. I've been hoping for this exact model for some time now. I love my LCR .357 snubbie and have always been a fan of .357 in general. Would make a great hiking gun.

  6. I dont understand. No on e is saying the wall is a panacea that will solve the problem. But it would help.

  7. Well, he won't have to worry about the wall and coming back a 4th time. The police officer put an end to that and for that I applaud her and I wish she would have had 16 rounds and could have shot him 16 times....As far as when will the politicians stop protecting these people is when these people begin killing them or family members of them. Till then they have no reason to stop protecting them. They need them to help stop the wall. As far as I'm concerned they need to begin burying the illegals under the wall and put a marker where the Criminal is buried as a reminder to those trying to sneak in our country...................JMHO

  8. A lot more Apparently a lot more. The people that are fighting Trump on the wall don't give a rats butt about any of us.

  9. I've not actually looked at one but, saw some youtube videos. Seems like a good one but, pretty much everything Ruger makes is good.

  10. How many more innocent people are going to have to die before the officials that protect these criminals are arrested?

  11. No, but I like the look, and the hammer.

  12. In Mississippi, you can legally carry on K-12 and college property with an enhanced carry license. Also, someone in Mississippi with an enhanced carry license cannot get a weapons charge for a 'no guns' sign. A private property owner of course can still ask you to leave and still trespass you if you do not leave. From what I understand about the only place you cannot legally carry there with the enhanced license is an actual courtroom (the courthouse is ok) and maybe police stations and prisons. People can take the same 8 hour classes in Memphis that people take for the Tennessee handgun carry permit class and get a Mississippi enhanced concealed license. Regular licenses in Mississippi do not require training but do require background check and fingerprinting. You can also carry concealed there without a license as long as the handgun is in a holster. The enhanced license bill in TN would be a good deal if it legalizes K-12 and college property carry and removes the no gun sign weapons charge.

  13. Ah. I thought you were thinking along the lines of people tend to accept it when you act like you're supposed to be doing exactly what you're doing, which is also very true.

  14. I have one dated 1900. Has the same micro adjustable rear sight insert as the first one pictured. Adds about $100 to the value of the gun.

  22. Prayers are definitely being sent. "F***" Cancer is right! Mine was minor by comparison. We have a very close friend undergoing chemo and is post mastectomy. She's tough and she's a fighter. Trust in God goes a long way. Prayers will continue.

  23. My prayers for you all. Cancer doesn't affect just the patient...all the family and many friends are devastated by the disease and the treatment. I know this well. As a Leukemia/Lymphatic Cancer survivor, I know the scenario quite well. My story quite similar to both those. I had 9 months of daily chemo treatments, a week on and a week off. It wasn't pleasant. After that, my tumors were still active, and I was sent to the Sarah Cannon Center at Centennial, where I was introduced to the hard core people. A tough bunch, but with a determination to see me though. I was told of the Stem Cell Transplant procedure, and then introduced to the other half of the process...the High Dose Chemo. I thought I had it bad before. I was wrong. Five days of high does of very potent drugs. I walked in on Monday morning. Monday afternoon and the following 4 days I was taken everywhere on a gurney. I hope and pray this lady can bypass the latter part of my story. Had 3 months of radiation, and after another 3/4 months of recuperation, I was pronounced to be "in remission." Two little words that took my breath away. Lots more to the tale than that, but you don't really want or need to hear it. My course did somewhat parallel what your son is going thru. I had a grapefruit sized tumor between my stomach and colon. I was told not to worry. Surgery and a little chemo or radiation and I would be fine. Surgery was performed and Doc found a vessel encompassed by the tumor. It hadn't shown up in all the scans, so he closed me up and we began the chemo 6 weeks afterwards. That's where my previous comments come in. The chemo drugs are supposed to be more effective now, with lesser side effects. I don't know. I've heard yes and no on that from other patients in waiting room conversations. One thing I found is that cancer is a true bonding glue for people. Many, like myself, will talk for hours about what we went thru. It's cathartic for those who endure it, and informative for all others when discussed. Sorry to be so long here. Tell the both that there is hope of at least remission if not a total release from it all. I found that family, prayer, love and faith can work wonders. I wasn't really expected to be here today, but all the love and prayer, not to mention, nor leave out, the absolutely wonderful team of doctors and nursed I had; I am here. I always say that God didn't want me yet. I still had/have something to do here. I will keep you all in my prayers. May God Bless and Keep you all in his arms.

  24. Guys, we need to fight this with every ounce of energy that we have. The time for letting the NRA, GOA, 2AF, and everyone else fight for our rights is long past. It's time to actually get off our butts and make it important enough that we call, write, email, and even VISIT our elected representatives and tell them that there will be hell to pay at the voting booth if they support this.

  25. In its current form the bill won't pass the Senate. In the House, it will perform a useful function -- all Republicans who vote for it can be added to the list of those to be vigorously opposed in the 2020 primaries.

  26. Question......I have been on the Gallatin Gun Club membership waiting list for years, slowly working my way up to the top, but never got there. Under the new name of MTSA, are its directors the same good folks, or is this an entirely new venture?

  29. If your going to hit Buds, you also need to hit Smoky Mtn knife works next door. Their ammo prices are a bit better on some types and I saw the same on their guns for some models. The knife works has expanded their gun area enormously during the last 3 or 4 years.

  30. I haven’t shared anything in a while and I figure some of you might enjoy these photos of a couple somewhat recent additions, a pair of Swedish M38s. Both are all matching and function extremely well, which I suppose fits with their reputation. I recommend a Swedish Mauser to any surplus shooter/collector. First the older...

  34. When I took the class I had shot many rounds before deciding to take the class and brought a .22 LR. We had a young lady to show up with a borrowed 44 magnum and she had never fired a gun before. With the first cylinder emptied she never even hit the board that housed the target. Before the day was over (after a bit of personal instruction from the teacher) she was proficient enough to pass but the beginning was a bit scary for the rest of us.
