AMEN! I really wish some dogs could drop the poor excuses for humans off at the shelter. I’ve always wished I was wealthy enough to be able to rescue all these dogs.5 points

Just attended a social function, as couple from our church just celebrated a 60th wedding anniversary and their kids were having a get together for them at our local events center. I had to dress for the occasion and put on a pair of light tan colored Kakis and Polo shirt. My pocket in those trousers is a little small for my usual K frame size 7 shot revolver and it prints really bad, so I put the Taurus in the safe and retrieved my Ruger Max 9. I had the extended 12 round mag in it, so I took it out and inserted the 10-rounder. The Max 9 fits that pocket much better but does still print however not near as bad as the revolver. It had 11 rounds of 9 MM on board instead of the 13 I usually carry. I really have come to like the Max 9. It is just right for big or smaller medium size pocket carry. IMO, only those who really know where they are in our solar system would even notice the bulge in my pocket. The Max is very easy to draw, fire, and get good hits with. I really like the green pipe sight and how the steel pistol feels in the hand. Even with the 10-round mag I can still get a good 2 1/2 finger hold (medium size hands) on the grip which is enough to hold to and makes shots more accurately. Even with continuous fire with 147 Gr + p S D H P ammo my half finger does not disengage the grip. If looking for a good, concealed carry pistol, for either IWB holsters or medium to large size Pocket carry, the Max deserves your eye for at least a checkout. The thing is built like a tank. I use a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster to carry the pistol in. I only paid 369.00 plus Tax for the Ruger. It comes with both mags.4 points

Making room in the safe... I have a super clean P320 AXG Legion for sale. It has less than 400 rounds through it. If you aren't familiar with the AXG Legion model, you're in for a treat. Its built-in comp and metal frame makes for a super flat and fast shooter. Gun sells for $1,369.99 new. It has the Sig Romeo 1 Pro Red Dot mounted. Going for $275.49 currently on Amazon. As well as a Streamlight TLR-1HL weapon light, currently selling for $145.96 on Amazon. It comes with 7 mags. It came with 3 mags new. The 4 additional mags cost $100 when purchased. I had a custom OWB holster made at Fury Tactical, in Maryville, TN. It was $125.00 It also comes with a nice had case. The hard case was $35.00 I have a total of $2,251.46, including tax and shipping, for this nice setup. Asking $1,500 Located in Maryville, TN. Not looking for trades at this time.3 points

You are absolutely correct and I appreciate the update. Since I am a state instructor (inactive at this time) I still like being up to date. I did verify this with the Handgun Permit office in Nashville as well. So one footnote, if one is in the new age range and traveling, be sure and call and verify reciprocity with any state one is traveling through as they may not accept the new parameters. The Handgun office tries to keep the reciprocity list up to date, but as you pointed out, this is a recent change.3 points

Did you make an offer? It drives me nuts when people ask me what my best price is after I've listed what I think is a fair price. The reasonable thing, in my opinion, is to make an offer and negotiate, or not, from there. Just my opinion.3 points

A tree fell on my house, and while this Sig P322 would allow me to dispatch up to 20 squirrels abandoning ship as it fell, like cowards, it won’t fix my roof. As such, the safe is being lightened. $300, cash only, no trades. (also have a P365 X-Macro in a separate post, would do both for a discount) Included: - Sig P322 w/threaded barrel - 3 factory mags - Sig Holster w/OWB and IWB belt loops - All items included in original manufacturer box (curved trigger *flat currently installed*, mag loader, dry fire tab, box, thread cap, etc.) Condition: Like New - two range trips and a lot of gleeful giggles. I shot an IDPA match tonight at the TWRA range in Bartlett. My performance was a complete Comedy of Errors tonight, but due to a low turnout (none of the usual M’s), I got my first ever match win. This is despite: -5 PE’s -A snap cap left over from my class at Tactical Response last weekend still in the mag -Completely fumbled reload -My optic suddenly becoming a projectile mid stage3 points

I suspect the coffin on the SIG 320/ M17/18 is about to be nailed shut. They’ll be bringing back the Beretta M9s from war reserve status, probably very soon.2 points

It's a 151 serial prefix. Maybe a late 70s to early 80s production. (Please correct me of I'm wrong) Pretty sweet trigger comparted to my S&W but its size is not my cup of tea. Wood grips are 'Origional Mustang' brand. Says so on the back side of em. My hands are smallerish and the grip feels good even though they are on the large size of the spectrum. More pics below.... It is true that unscrupulous, liberal media and lawyers will try to attack modified arms. Along with cutesey warning signs, hi cap magazines (whatever those are), hollow point ammo, etc. The conclusion to carry a purely factory stock sidearm is a good idea also if you can accomplish that. I have one. the only thing I could wish for is less weight. Picking a carry pistol is a long process and doing so on a budget is nearly impossible. The argument could be made against full and semi custom pistols such as Wilson or Les Baer also. But that is an antiquated thought process as we have learned over the last 40 years how to dispel the wrongful thinking of these attacks. Lighter, cleaner triggers improve accuracy and reduce the risk to innocent bystanders as an example. As do better sights. Hollow points are designed to reduce over penetration. Any modification to enhance durability, reliability, accuracy, and survivability should be considered mandatory. One can also justify aesthetic upgrades as making other people less apprehensive. After all, black guns are scary. No one is out there building Fitz Specials anymore. Remember, we are trying to survive, we all know there will be another fight in the courts. Unless you're in Sheriff Grady's county. I stand by the adage "better to be judged by twelve than carried by six". Evry gun owner should spend as much or more time studying firearms, especially our own, as shooting and maintaining them. Study not only how everything works but what the laws and judgements are. Learn the political climate of the area in which one resides. Learn, practice, maintain. And I do own a Taurus PT111 Millenium G2. Bought it because it was a great deal and filled the empty 9mm slot. The Taurus 111/G2/G3 lines have deficiencies that could show up and are remedied easily by replacing plastic parts with steel. Nothing wrong there. Mine isn't carried at this point for two reasons unrelated to reliability. 1 I haven't finished the holster for it. 2 I hate the trigger, the pull is too long and it bites my finger. So yes, it will get an aftermarket trigger.2 points

The gun market is incredibly soft atm. Buyers market. Maybe too much production during covid, republican in office, less discretionary spending, maybe a mix.2 points

You're looking to buy a 2007 authentic Marlin per the serial number you've posted. This serial number was stamped into the top of the tang yes ? The JM isn't always stamped in any particular direction but almost always near where the barrel enters the receiver. Sounds like you're about to add an awesome caliber lever action to the collection2 points

Basically good advice, unless one can clearly state the reason for modification. An eight # trigger pull can impair accuracy. If one can articulate a 4# pull enhances accuracy and helps avoid missing a target and inadvertently hitting an unintended target. Punisher endplates and other such embelishments certainly won't help you. Same with using reloads because you think they are hotter or more deadly. Safer to stay with LEO standards to one's area. Anything can be used against you but again make changes prudent, thought out and defensible. These recomendations come from Andrew Branca, Dave Spaulding, Mas Ayoob, and CCW safe, all who have experience as trainers and expert witnesses.2 points

I did what I could, contacted both Senators and my Representative but obviously my opinion does not matter to them. As with most I am very disappointed that control of both chambers and the Presidency still does not give the Republicans enough nerve/strength/resolve etc. to represent the people that put them in office. The $200 was not my issue it is the government overreach. I suppose I will continue to hold my nose and vote for the lesser of two evils but it is so frustrating. Sorry for the rant.2 points

These belonged to my dad who passed away a few years ago. He was not a big gun guy or collector. He was a Lutheran pastor I only found these at Mom's house the other day. I think she sometimes used them to pull weeds in the yard. I'm not sure of the originality or finish. Neither can I find any stamps or markings. Maybe $45 for each. Thank you for looking!2 points

Update: Got my P10c in and ran some rounds through after inspecting and cleaning. Found out pretty quickly that it did NOT like the Turan 124g HP since the first one I chambered hung up, and I ended up having to force rack the slide in order to eject the unspent round. CCI and Fiocchi ran flawlessly. I will definitely be upgrading the front sight as the three white dot system is difficult to see, but I still managed a decent group at 25 yards. Now, I just need to work on repetitions and work toward better grouping and speed as time goes along. The gun feels great in my hands, even with the needle-like stippling, but I think I will try the Hogue rubber grip for it and see how that feels in comparison. Pics will be added soon.2 points

Make sure you pull the bore snake wet. If it’s difficult to pull, stand on the end of the snake and pull the rifle up off it with both hands. You’ll also want an AR chamber brush because a bore snake won’t do much to scrub the chamber clean, and you need the chamber clean for it to run well. Get a rod that won’t swivel so you can scrub the chamber with it.2 points
