Help this dog owner out and sign this petition...

This is in Dyersburg and just goes to show the stupidity of our local governments sometimes.  I know we have a lot of dog lovers on here and think most would agree that this is just ridiculous.

 

Short story is this dog, "Beau", killed a neighbors pet duck when it wandered onto Beau's property.  They now want to euthanize Beau for being a "vicious" dog.  They also want to charge the owner a bunch of fees for keeping him.

 

He has a short reprieve, but hopefully this will help.  God help them if this was my dog and they tried to pull this.

While I'm not a resident of your town I did sign the petition and asked for common sense to prevail over an 

irresponsible duck owner.  

 

It does raise the question, if this same duck happened onto a local stream or river and was shot by a legal hunter, in season,

would the hunter be a murderer and liable for criminal justice? 

 

Is there a difference?

In a world where common sense prevails, the duck owner would be the one in trouble with the law or allowing his animals to wander off, bothering other neighbors. We have neighbors down the street that raise a lot of ducks, and let them roam around. Their next door neighbor hates them, because they are disgusting creatures that poop all over everything.
