  2. A friend of mine got her doctorate in physical therapy a few years ago and opened a practice specifically to handle medicare patients. She had to close the practice because of Obamacare. Many folks do not realize how little Medicare pays the doctors to begin with, but Obamacare cut it even more so that she couldn't afford to keep her doors open. The mess is just now starting folks. Wait until next year.

  6. I can understand an honest mistake, but when the guy assured me 3 times that he would let it go for the price he said and offer no real apology no thanks... On a good note I bought my G30 from a vendor at the gun show, who has a store in Old Hickory called The Nashville Gun Company, and told them the story (they had the G30 for $10 more) the nice lady working there gave me $10 back for giving them my business.

  7. Some folks believe that jacking prices to ridiculous levels is 'just capitalism'.  Well, maybe in one sense but I don't believe it is very 'good' capitalism.  To me, a 'good' business owner practicing 'good' capitalism - regardless of what they sell - is going to take into account customer relationships, customer loyalty, return business, word of mouth advertising and the like - especially a small, 'mom and pop' type business.  Raising prices a reasonable amount in the current market is one thing but after a certain point it gets ridiculous.   Sure, jacking prices into the stratosphere might make them a healthy profit in the short term - largely from panic buyers, new gun owners (who don't know any better) or people who are so desperate to find a box of ammo somewhere, anywhere that they will pay whatever price these profiteers are asking.  Thing is, eventually supplies return to normal, the hoarders will have all they will ever shoot, the new shooters will have either gone into a routine of rarely shooting, will have sold their gun or will have the experience to know better.  In other words, their 'crisis' sales will have dried up and those of us who remember such things will remember their actions and avoid their shops.  At that time, these same profiteers will be whining about how people should shop local and how the mean ol' Internet is putting them out of business.

They're not happy unless their under Sharia law and want to spread it by infiltration and population explosion, taking over countries from within. Islam is the "religion" of hate and convert or we will kill you!   Some religion!

  14. Last time I was in Qatar I had my Maxim confiscated by their customs agents on entry and I didn't raise a fuss because it was their country, their rules. It really pisses me off when folks from other countries have the expectation we should cater to their sensibilities on our own soil. Sorry, this is America; we got beer on the shelves, bouncy boobies in public and painted skin. I wish it had been me there. I'd a told them to eff off, and added in some choice words about Momo being false prophet and Aisha being a goat banger.

  16. I refuse to feel guilty or apologize for my race. Straight from the Al Sharpton handbook: Anyone who wants to judge a whole race on the actions of a few is a racist. The percentage of white male Americans that have gone on shooting sprees is miniscule. Both of those hags can kiss my ass.

  18. Once, when I was 7, Rugerla1 and I found an arrowhead while hiking in the Sierra Nevadas. We were so enthralled by our find that we soon got lost beyond help. Rugerla1 then fashioned a spear out of the arrowhead, a stick, and some twine he fashioned out of the bark of a cedar tree. He used the spear to catch us some fish and then started a fire using flint and steel and some magnesium from a battery he had in his transistor radio. The fire lasted about half the night and then it began to get really cold. Despite my best efforts to fend him off he insisted on spooning to conserve our body heat. Even though it would eventually lead to me needing counseling, it no doubt saved my life that night.   The next morning Rugerla1 was able to signal a search helicopter by bouncing sunlight off his "grill" that he had made just the week before. Thank God for his shiny new teeth. Long story short, the mountain rescue guys were able to find us easily since we were only 20 yards from the nearest road. I owe my life to Rugerla1. True story.

  26.   Good for you, but I'd rather not be part of the problem. It's because of everyone that though like you that we may never see prices return to pre-Sandy Hook levels.   I can almost promise that ammo prices will not go back down to the level they were before the shooting because of the price gouging and hysteria fed by people such as yourself.   No offense to you Magic but you didn't help the situation.

  28. Kinda funny, AN ACTUAL CRAIG'S LIST PERSONALS AD To the Guy Who Tried to Mug Me in Downtown Savannah night before last. I was the guy wearing the black Burberry jacket that you demanded that I hand over, shortly after you pulled the knife on me and my girlfriend, threatening our lives. You also asked for my girlfriend's purse and earrings. I can only hope that you somehow come across this rather important message. First, I'd like to apologize for your embarrassment; I didn't expect you to actually crap in your pants when I drew my pistol after you took my jacket.. The evening was not that cold, and I was wearing the jacket for a reason.. my girlfriend was happy that I just returned safely from my 2nd tour as a Combat Marine in Afghanistan .. She had just bought me that Kimber Custom Model 1911 .45 ACP pistol for my birthday, and we had picked up a shoulder holster for it that very evening. Obviously you agree that it is a very intimidating weapon when pointed at your head ... isn't it?! I know it probably wasn't fun walking back to wherever you'd come from with crap in your pants. I'm sure it was even worse walking bare-footed since I made you leave your shoes, cell phone, and wallet with me. [That prevented you from calling or running to your buddies to come help mug us again]. After I called your mother or "Momma" as you had her listed in your cell, I explained the entire episode of what you'd done. Then I went and filled up my gas tank as well as those of four other people in the gas station, -- on your credit card. The guy with the big motor home took 153 gallons and was extremely grateful! I gave your shoes to a homeless guy outside Vinnie Van Go Go's, along with all the cash in your wallet. [That made his day!] I then threw your wallet into the big pink "pimp mobile" that was parked at the curb ..... after I broke the windshield and side window and keyed the entire driver's side of the car. Earlier, I managed to get in two threatening phone calls to the DA's office and one to the FBI, while mentioning President Obama as my possible target. The FBI guy seemed really intense and we had a nice long chat (I guess while he traced your number etc.). ;In a way, perhaps I should apologize for not killing you ... but I feel this type of retribution is a far more appropriate punishment for your threatened crime. I wish you well as you try to sort through some of these rather immediate pressing issues, and can only hope that you have the opportunity to reflect upon, and perhaps reconsider, the career path you've chosen to pursue in life.. Remember, next time you might not be so lucky. Have a good day! Thoughtfully yours, Semper Fi

  29.   The stock trigger was not good. I didn't measure it, but I'm guessing around 7 lbs and a nasty creep.    What I liked about it:   1. It was very accurate, and I was able to shoot a nice tight group at 15 yards. 2. It ran really well. I could not find ammo, so I had to scrounge together stuff from every nook and cranny and I accumulated about 100 rounds. So it had to eat a bunch of different stuff and did so well. 3. My son loves it and anything to get my boys shooting more I LOVE.   What I would change:   1. For grown up hands that use a high grip on top of the thumb safety, you will get bit. I got a nasty pinch before I was aware. So, I would love a beaver tail option. 2. Sights are usable but barely for these old eyes. 3. I don't like that the trigger will not function when the magazine is out. Just a pet peeve of mine really, and It could easily be fixed with little trouble.   All in all I'm very happy with it. More than anything I loved the smile on my sons face as he was shooting it. I thought to myself, yep I know that smile......I still get it too.

  31. I don't know enough about lead to answer or even speculate.   Yeah, it was easy to "get the lead out".  I only shot 6 lead rounds, saw the leading, stopped, and completed my range session with FMJ.  When I got home I coated the inside with Hoppe's and let it set of about 15 minutes.  Then I went at it with a brass brush and finally a jag.  It came clean as can be.

  40. As I watched that video I wondered what the message was since they were saying the problem is irreversible. The message is in the last 30 seconds. They want you to accept the Muslims, and they try to use a bible verse to justify it. Those Americans pushing Muslim propaganda should be ashamed. This is a very good reason not to give up our arms. We could be fighting this battle on our own soil.

  41. Starting that slippery slope.  First it will start with the wealthy.  Then it will be the well off.  And later on the middle class.  They don't really need that $1 million in their IRA, so they can retire early.   The one piece of advice I've given to my  all my kids and their friends that have graduated from college or are working good jobs that I know, that they need to start their 401K and max it out immediately.  They don't have it in their pocket, they will never miss it.  That way, if they want to retire at 55 they will be able to afford to.   You know what all of in the middle class needs to do is quit working and go on the Government tit and suck this country on down the financial tubes and then start all over again!!!  If we are all on welfare, then no one will be paying Obama and the Liberal's salaries and the Government will fall apart!!!   Far fetched I know, but I get tired of paying for all the stupid stuff our Government does!!!

  43.  You have as much RIGHT to speak about your RIGHTS as anyone else whether you served or not. I, like many other folks here, went out of my way not to offend anyone in anything that we do. Right now at this point in my life I really don't care who gets offended by me or my actions. Don't like my tattoo or my porkchop sandwich? I'll show you where the nearest airport is..BYE! Don't come to my country and complain about me or my way of life. I go to your country (even in the military) and I have to live by your ways, so when you come to mine STFU and get on with your business!   My biggest pet pev right now is we allow our own citizens to burn the US flag in protest. Sickening! Oh yea, did I mention it was their right....   Dave S
