Well Ladies and Gents, as some of you know, I won't be around this summer. I have taken a job as teaching blacksmithing at Falling Creek Summer camp for boys. I may be able to post updates and pictures on occasion, but I won't be on here daily for a good while. I just wanted to tell my good friends on here goodbye for awhile, and that hopefully I'll be seeing y'all soon. Also, look for a post about a homecoming shoot in September lol. I leave early tomorrow morning, and I won't be back until Aug. 5th or later. So you guys take care. Jordan3 points

Uh oh. http://www.forbes.com/sites/andygreenberg/2013/05/20/25-gun-created-with-cheap-3d-printer-fires-nine-shots-video/ Well, so much for nipping that whole internet thing in the bud...3 points

According to THIS ARTICLE, he denied having any guns. When he finally did admit to being in possession of firearms, he said they were not loaded. Some of the guns were loaded. He didn't come back to attend the trial. He was arrested in Maine in 2008 and charged with threatening his first wife with a gun. None of this takes away from the fact that NJ should be cast into the ocean, but this guy is a moron.3 points

“Gun Show†sales is just the buzz word they are using. What they mean is they want to ban “Private Sales†without a background check. Why wait for a gun show when there are forums or GOC where you can buy every day? Last I checked the manufacture of methamphetamine or the sale of cocaine in this state was illegal and has some serious penalties. So how have those “tough†laws worked out? Fix the economy in this country and this state, put people back to work. Get our manufacturing base back and quit buying into the “World Economy†BS. That will do more to reduce crime than any new laws you can come up with.3 points

Whoever sold this guy guns at the Bill Goodman show when he was 15 years old will not let a new law prevent him from making a sale.3 points

I've got an 06, that had 100,000 miles on it before the first brake job. I've not had problems with mine. But if I was to replace it I would have to go Ford, simply because of the fact they didn't take the government bail out.2 points

Kids are amazing. My daughter will be 2 in July. Yesterday i witnessed her pick up my wifes iphone, press the unlock button, use the slide unlock on the screen, scroll through the pages until she found the gallery, launch it and then showed off pictures of us to everyone in the room and called us by name. meanwhile my 6 year old thinks brushing his teeth is "boring". sigh...2 points

What Oh Shoot said. But for the record, unless I have been mislead, the original Hebrew used the word for "murder" not "kill". The distinction being you can kill a man and you can kill a cow. You can murder a man, but you cannot murder a cow. Even if illegal, immoral etc, killing a cow does not rise to the same level as murdering a man. Therefore, the commandments do not prohibit self-defense.2 points

I just want people to judge fairly. Obama is not the devil because he is who he is,he is the devil because of what he does. He is not the only one to act like a devil1 point

Give it time and you will be able to print an all plastic Glock off a printer and it last the lifetime of the average gunbuyer that rarely if ever goes to the range. I forsee a market for businesses to open up that buy a large high quality 3d printer and charge you to use it if you supply your own plastic or other material and program for it to print. I wouldn't use it id rather learn gunsmithing and machining but it sure wiuld be nice to be able to print off a glock type polymer frame instead of needing a injection molded plastic machine for it or other polymer accessories1 point

Surplus Ammo & Arms, I will make sure to add them to my list of sellers I will never buy from.1 point

They should be ashamed.. It is one thing for an individual to see the chance to make the extra money but for a business to not have the foresight to see that one day (hopefully) availability will come back and they will have to try to sell the same thing that every other dealer else is trying to sell. Only now all of us and an untold thousands more that have seen what they are pulling and will not buy from them. Ammo sales is a fairly tough margin business when supply is plentiful so they aren't going to be able to sell enough cheaper than the next dealer to make folks forget this. I hope they sell every last D@&N brick of it because that small gain may be what rips their sail.1 point

I like 10- Ring's quip the best... I, too, would be willing to join that great pilgrimage. Remember the words of the great Paul Neuman in that classic western "The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean" after the judge shot "Bad Bob" and the detail of where to bury ole Bob came up: "....Hang him on a cactus, he aint fit to share the same ground as my (...drunken...) bear...". Judge Roy wuz right. Who gives a damn where this son of satan is buried; or if he's buried at all. We owe him nothin. Let the buzzards and hogs eat him. That's how i see the burial location rucus this mornin. leroy1 point

the new Ram truck is the 2013 Motor Trend truck of the year. That said I still opted to buy an F150 a couple of months ago.1 point

Tell your wife the gun is broke and get ya a new one hehehe1 point

The Ram box is lockable, yet i do agree it takes up some bed space. ( just above the wheel wells, by then it has the bed space of a ford Ranger). Has a lot more space in it than the Chevy Avalanche bedrail storage system. I wouldnt advise on keeping your guns in there all the time, but to the range or on a trip might be ok. Thing about this ram box is there is a drain plug in the bottom and you could keep sodas or beer Ice cold in there, or when fishing, keep your catch there cold and fresh for when you get home.1 point

That's hilarious! Surprised he didn't ask where you put the "clip" or how many rounds it holds.1 point

I was late coming home one night and my wife asked my daughter (Who is 8) where Daddy was. She kept watching tv and said "I don't know, he's your problem, not mine!" Lol Kids are hilarious and don't even have to try. :)1 point

Ya need to swap up arms every 100 rounds, helps me a LOT! :cool:1 point

It was last spring when I first moved to TN, I just asked for "a fishing license" and they asked me what kind and I said "a regular one" to which they issued me one of the county residence licenses. So much for the thousands of dollars of tackle that I have aquired over the years LOL, anyway I remedied that with the combo license this year, but I still needed a $300.00 freaking dollar commercial license to run a string of catfish slat-baskets & trot-lines! I don't mind paying a reasonable fee, but TN seems to be on the high-side w/regards to paying for hunting & fishing privilages. Oh and don't get me started on the limited seasons & small bag-limits.1 point

Watched the video a few times. Seconds before the robber came around the corner, a 2-door car pulls up and appears to stop just the other side of the corner. My guess is the shop owner was aware the car stopped and a car door opened. Shop owner put hiis handside the window, could not tell if it were a gun, but diffentialy, he noticed something was not right. It does go to show that when something goes down, it can be very quick.1 point

My concern is more that they spent the time and money involved for a length federal investigation for something where the subject of the investigation obviously had no criminal intent. Did he make a mistake yes, was it something that a professional hunter should have known, again id say yes. But was it something so serious that warrants a Felony charge, Hardly.1 point

While there are certainly exceptions to be found, from what I've read the vast majority of home-invasion robberies are criminal-on-criminal.1 point
