I got this bad boy while I was grilling out on my back deck. About 20 yards. I always have the trusty Ruger GP 100 with me when I grill. We see these all the time, he jus got too close............7 points

Typical liberal. Laws are for you but not me. Anyone who claims they didn't know they had a gun in a holster shouldn't be allowed to carry at all. He may be too stupid to know when he is carrying a firearm, but the person who called police didn't have a problem seeing it. He needs to plead guilty and serve the full sentence as he woud expect any other violator to do.4 points

I picked up a Kahr CM9 at G&L last night. I had a M&P 40c. Great gun. But I wanted something smaller and a little easier to conceal and more comfortable to carry. The Kahr fits the bill and I have yet to read a negative review about it. I like the way it shoots, too.3 points

Probably. They might not have thought as much into it that so many folks would find it offensive. Of course, I qualify what is "offensive" by intent. Things intended to be offensive should be classified as such. Things which are taken differently than the author's intent should be classified as misunderstandings. It's the reason why words which could be classified as slurs towards race, religion, ethnicity, age, gender, etcetera, are not offensive to me unless the intent of the use was to be offensive. It's why comedians can say such offensive things in certain context without most folks getting huffy about it. It's why, in my old job, we could make jokes regarding stereotypes of coworkers and they don't get offended, as no offense was intended. I don't think Coca-Cola meant to offend anyone or suggest something sinister or un-American, so I'm gonna choose not to be offended. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk3 points

I'm not sure yet but I may try to sneak out of the house and go to the OK Corral tomorrow. I wanted to go today but the weather seemed too iffy when I got up, weather folks saying it may turn to rain. I said screw it and hung out with the family all day. It was actually nice. I'd like to get out there tomorrow, hopefully it all works out. Just curious if anyone else was getting in any range time tomorrow. Luke, I'll call ya if we head out there in case you have any ammo that's about to expire and need to get rid of it :)2 points

So let me get this straight, he's in the school armed, they lock the school down and he heards his kids in to the cafeteria and locks the door to protect them. At no time during any of this does he remember ha has a firearm? Why does he carry a firearm? If that sequence of events didnt trigger a response in his brain he has no business carrying a firearm. They would throw the book at me, even if I "Forgot," they should do the same to him.2 points

Wow, LE must be tough where you are if you had to use a throw-down gun2 points

Good thing you got him. He's also a known thief. That's Joe Namath's coat that he's wearing.2 points

He lobbied for a law that would make carrying a gun into a school a felony. Now he is arrested on felonies for doing just that. We give him a break because he says he forgot? I don’t think so so.2 points

Oh gee, who would have thought? http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/02/09/us-boxing-zimmerman-idUSBREA1800720140209 I think this was a publicity stunt that was never going to happen. My challenge still stands though; I’ll fight Zimmerman.2 points

So, a law who's only real outcome was to make criminals out of law abiding, stand up citizens, just made a criminal out of a law abiding stand up criminal. I'm sorry, but this guy should do the full sentence. If anyone should have known better, it should have been him, a supporter of the law. Maybe that would open some eyes and make people think about these zero-tolerence, gun free zones really don't server the citizens. The article sure made him look like a great guy, too, didn't it? Do you think any of us, NRA card carrying, second amendment loving, gun owning "nut-jobs" would get the same courtesy?2 points

Or moving to places like Tennessee because we are a lot cheaper than Canada. Problem is they are true liberals. They only want to be conservatives when it comes to certain things, everything else they would support. Then after they have instilled the agenda here and it again becomes too liberal for them they move onto another state to ruin them. They supported the liberal agenda until THEIR government struck a nerve and they decided to move. So when they come here they might want some firearm freedoms but they also want all the social programs and other liberal benefits that they have lived with and supported for the last 3 decades. We are seeing it now with a lot of liberals moving here because their home state became too liberal but they want to turn Tennessee into the utopia that was their home state right before their leaders went too far in their home state. It is easier for them to move here than to fight for their own state. Then when things get too bad here they leave us to fight the battle they started. Personally I would not be against an immigration system for our state. You cannot become a resident of Tennessee unless you meet certain requirements. If you get caught living here without it you get shipped off, in the middle of the night, to your previous state of residency. And even after you are permitted residency you cannot vote in state or local elections for 7 years. Not sure what the requirements would be but one would be that you must pay taxes, either income or property, to be allowed to become a Tennessean.2 points

I think if they continue to regulate certain NFA items there should be some sort of frequent flyer program. Initially you go through an extensive background. After that you fill out a form that asks you disqualifying questions. If you lie on the form you could be charged criminally for lying on the form as well as possession of an illegal NFA item. Personally nothing should be regulated, only regulate who can own them. If you are allowed to own a single shot 22 you should be allowed to own a MG, a tank or a fighter jet if you want to. If you can't own that 22 because you are violent or insane then you should not be allowed to own any type of firearm.2 points

Hey guys, What time does Cleveland's IDPA start? I am having trouble finding it. Also an address would be helpful. Shot at ORSA's IDPA last weekend for the first time. I'm hooked.1 point

How about this. When we find overpriced ammo on Armslist let's all flag the ad to have it removed. So who wants to post the next one?1 point

Soon as fingers begin to squeeze between grip and spare mag, the gun pops out of retention and right into palm of your hand. You don't "pull" gun out of holster, so holster itself needs no friction in pocket to hold it back and you don't have to get initial grip around butt to get cranking. Very quick to deploy, actually nothing quicker if you have hand in pocket to begin with. As far as spare mag on weak side, yeah, would be "tactically" quicker, but I'm a high drag low speed guy. ;) I figure the trade off in space and convenience is worth the extra 5 sec would take to get the spare in action. Relatively confident that 7 rounds of 124gr 9mm +p hollow points will provide the extra seconds. If I were really much concerned about it, would just sacrifice deep concealment and comfort to carry higher capacity heater IWB. - OS1 point

I guess I'm gifted and acquired temporary ESP for a moment, but... As the man was giving his well thought out oratory and the camera's panned some of the council members square in the face. I could visibly see inward anger and ridicule, Democrats by choice, liberals at heart, and a tirade and berating being forcibly held back. Meh thinks a handful of conservatives in attendance armed with six inch plastic straws, some paper napkins in wee bits soaked in saliva and launched at subsonic speeds at the council libertards would open their ears a bit.1 point

Has anyone ever seen one of these? Made in Alcoa, American made pocket knife. My great grandfather was a blacksmith and went to work for Alcoa steel . I don't know much about this knife, but it means a lot to me. Sent barefoot from the hills of Tennessee1 point

If its new, put a few hundred rounds through it before carrying it, they need broken in to be reliable. The trigger is much like a DAO revolver trigger. Long but very smooth. This is coming from someone whose EDC is a Kahr.1 point

Every time I here "wild game tastes different" it reminds me of a good friend of mine who took his family to eat supper at a guy he works with's house. His daughter was about 10 at the time. Afterward she said "Dad that spaghetti tasted funny." He said "Yeah I bet it did, cause it was ground beef and you ain't ever ate ground beef." Lol1 point
