http://www.thestreet.com/story/12712489/1/the-10-dumbest-states-in-america.html?puc=yahoo&cm_ven=YAHOO So we are dumb because fewer people have Bachelors degrees than in places like NY and CA... I think most of us would much rather live next to someone that knows how to run a tractor and pull a trigger than one who puts their grocery shopping lists in APA 6th ed. format. I say we try and work our way up to #1 on that list by 2016.4 points

I always wanted a true HK G3, but is been always out of my price range. I finally went and got a PTR, only thing I dont like about it its the paratrooper model, so it has a 16" barrel vs a normal 18" barrel. But now I have two battle rifles with only the M14 left on the to do list. I am already dreading the ammo prices. But I am so happy!1 point

It was kind of stiff at first, but after opening and closing it all day, it's smoothing out and deploying the blades faster now. Loving it so far! Can't keep my hands off of it! :up:1 point

This may sound odd, but are there any Amish communities near you? If so, I would highly suggest paying them a visit. I picked up a pair of 2" & 1.5" wide handmade belts made from 11 oz. bullhide for only $22 each & they're just as nice as any $80-$100 belts I've looked at in outdoor shops or online. The 1.5" is plain & the 2" has a nice basket weave pattern & both came with heavy duty buckles. I've been wearing the 2" belt for a year now & it's still stiff as the day I bought it. I bought mine at "Muddy Pond" near Crossville. You can't beat the quality.1 point

If that's your opinion on education it looks like we're bordered by three of the top five. Might want to check them out. :rolleyes:1 point

Happened to me one time, forgot to turn the blades when I got off the tractor, started right up after I turned them off. Did you switch the blades off when you got off the tractor1 point
-
Does it have a safety switch under the seat. When my wife drives my L3200 she comes in saying something's wrong it just cut out. Turns out she sits to far forward and it disengages and kills the tractor. Perhaps yours has an issue.1 point

I have been hearing about more shootings recently and just hoping it is a long full moon thing and goes away soon. I also noticed that they seem to be just random shootings and not a single target like a dispute or drug deal or even home invasions. Just mostly random......................... :shrug:1 point
-
I was thinking the exact same thing watching the news tonight. The real problem is that I don't think there is any way to fix it. The people doing this have no issue with just randomly shooting at people and know they will probably be shot themselves at some point. It's too late to educate most of these morons. All you can do is hope that they stick to killing more morons and leave the innocent people out of it.1 point

I would consider that a placeholder, not a compromise.1 point

Everything they said.... screw extractor, slot it with a dremel, impact driver, drill the head out, penetrating oil... all of those work. But there's the trick.... Japanese cars don't use normal Phillips head screws, they use JIS spec screws. A standard Phillips head screwdriver doesn't fit them properly which results in stripped heads. You need a set of JIS spec screwdrivers. I've learned that many times while working on Japanese motorcycles. http://www.amazon.com/Hozan-JIS-4-JIS-Screwdriver-3rd/dp/B00A7WAHTU1 point

This is Wrangler, my eight year old American Staffordshire. The BEST dog Ive ever had. I went all the way down to St. Augustine, Fl to get him. Great guard dog, but as long as your welcome in the house, he will lick you to death and beg for attention! He gives me a lot of peace of mind when I have to leave my family here at the house when I go on my business trips!1 point

Well....., They now have one less SSA-E in stock. Thanks for the heads up mcordell. :up:1 point

I would not buy a car, truck or motorcycle with out a tile, never. Have the owner apply for a lost tile, then but it.1 point

Use a small Dremel tool attachment , to machine a standard or Phillips head "groove" , then remove the screw.1 point

Black Snake, Blue racer, known by several names but harmless ad don't worry. That egg won't be an issue for it once it gets it far enough down to constrict in and it will pop like a light bulb when dropped. They eat rodents, eggs and will actually kill venomous snakes and eat them to. Use to see them kill copperheads on our Ranch while growing years ago........... :up:1 point

Non venomous King snake I think.. or Black Snake...I am sure its a black snake.. thank you for not killing it:)1 point

none in the Memphis area either,I look everytime I go to any stores that sell it.I havent seen 22 in our WalMarts in near a year now.But I refuse to get up early on a day off just to beat the non working sector to the ammo counters.Maybe thats my problem,if I did maybe I could retire on what the scalpers are selling it for.I hope a few get stuck with the stuff and end up eating it in the morning like a bowl of Wheaties with milk.1 point

I'm of the mindset that if I'm going to be in control of a loaded weapon... Its going to be fully loaded, that way there is never a question of training and practice for weapon manipulation faced with an immediate threat. One in the chamber for carry/hd pistols, one in the chamber for the hd shotgun, one in the chamber for the hd rifle. Consistency is key, whatever you choose, ALWAYS do it that way. If you don't, you won't remember in a fight. Lemme ask those who don't want a round in the chamber, for giggles... Would you carry a modern double-action revolver with one cylinder empty? Think about it.1 point

It's always funny to me that these idiots rave about guns when they sell a product, when abused, has contributed to more injuries and deaths than personal firearms ever will. If he's been in business long he's probably allowed some drunk to leave his pub, get in their car and kill someone on the road or highway. People like him are stuck in this mentality like when Bob Costos made that moronic remark about how if a 250+ pound football player didn't have a gun he wouldn't have killed a 110lb woman, when in reality if that big football player hadn't been raging drunk and p!ssed at the world he most likely wouldn't have killed that woman. If he didn't have a gun he would have choked or beat her to death easily. I wonder what pub/bar/club/liqor store he was in getting drunk and mad before he killed her? The gun was just the tool, the booze was the trigger.1 point

Actually, the gay's feel businesses do not have the right to chose who they serve. I'd like him to tell them that, too.1 point
