1. They are true animals in every sense of the word.   I can honestly say that I would go to prison if it were me, or anyone I loved, being attacked like that. The reason is because I would try to kill everyone involved even if they are not attacking because being there supporting those who are attacking should carry the same consequences as those doing the attacking. Don't want to die then don't hang around those that should be killed.   That is the exact reason why I roll around armed like I am in a warzone, because you never know when you might find yourself in one. And because I am white I will be crucified if I have to kill a minority that is killing me.

 6. Dumb idea either way, especially if you plan to be in public.  Even with an airsoft, you are going to bring all kinds of unwanted attention to yourself.   I don't care what day of the year it is, if you look like you are in waiting for the Vietcong in some goofed up outfit and a gun visible (real or not), you will probably be on the wrong end of a bad result.   Really, this is a very bad idea.

 7. Drove down to Smyrna recently with my brother. I have a Gen 3 G30 and he just purchased a Gen 4 G30. We had the techs install night sights and while they were doing it, they completely gutted the frame and installed new trigger bar, connector, trigger spring, complete breakdown and inspection, new recoil spring, and test fire. The sights and install were $57. My brother's gun was purchased a week ago and they already were able to upgrade to newer parts on his. The trigger crucifix is a -3. Never heard of that part number revision. I was surprised to see a -2 on my bro's when he bought his because I had already had the -1- on mine when I had a frame upgrade a few years ago. I am completely amazed at the service and they told us we could come back occasionally and have everything inspected and upgraded again if necessary. Way to go Glock!

 8.   There were 2 other victims.  Reports were that one of those 2 were black, you can see him toward the end of the video in a safety vest being pulled back by a Kroger employee.  I don't disagree with the fact that this kid was jumped because he was white.  And you are right, these kids (and the parents) should be held accountable for the violence they handed out.  My point is that both the black and white community have their fair share of ignorance.  I have seen PLENTY of comments today made by whites that are just as stupid and ignorant as those that were made by ignorant black people in Ferguson, MO.  There is a deeper issue here at play than just the color of someone's skin being different and you addressed it; this is learned behavior.  And it comes from all sides, not just from the black community....

 9. No. They should be held accountable of coming up with a stupid idea like "hate crime".   How can you adjudicate thought or intent? Actions and outcomes should be the only thing judged in assault type crimes.   I guess I would be more clear in stating that emotion should not be accounted for in the courtroom.

 10.   I'm not going to pretend I even have a clue what those two girls are going through, but would guess that it either had to do with fear or embarrassment. Having everyone in the world know you were raped by your own father is some serious sh!t to deal with.

 11. Those in the video are attacking because of one thing, their victim is not like them. It should be a hate crime but it will not be because, according to race baiters, minorities cannot be racists but there are plenty of attacks that prove that some minorities are racist. And the reason why a lot of them are racist is because of the race baiters, like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, have told them they have a right to hate everyone else except themselves for the sad socio-economic situation that they have put themselves in. I suspect from a very early age a lot of minorities are told to hate those that are not like them and this hate is starting to boil over in the form of violence because those racists are attacking more and more often. It is these types, the race baiters and those who follow them, that will continue to attack because they are not being held accountable. Every single person involved should be charged and in a case like that the shooter trying to defend himself should not be charged if any member of the mob is killed.   This will not get a single second of air time. And if by some freak chance it is aired the race baiters will come along to down play it, make excuses and then blame those being attacked for provoking it.

 13. I think that we're all clear on this, but to eliminate any misunderstandings, this is a suppressor demo. It's not a free-for-all shooting day.   We'll need to fine tune some details about exactly how we'll structure the demo, but I had something in mind of having two or three lanes to setup on (more if needed), with only one operating at a time so that we can all hear each can. Maybe setting up two similar rifles side by side with different cans to hear the difference between them when that's appropriate. Perhaps Mike can weigh in on this and what may be a good way to setup.   What I don't want to happen is to have us scattered along the range all doing different things. I say that for a few reasons. First I know I want to see and hear every can in every caliber that's being demo'd and I suspect I'm not the only one. Second, we members are responsible for our guests. It's hard for us to be good hosts when we're all scattered around. Lastly, this is not an official Gallatin Gun Club sanctioned event, so we won't have the range reserved just for us. We need to be mindful of any other GGC members who happen to show up.

 22. For what it's worth, last weekend I went out with several varieties of ammo just to test grouping. Rifle has 16" PSA upper with FN chrome-lined 1/7 twist barrel. Shooting from a bag with an Eotech 512 sight at 50 yards. Did not spend too much time letting the rifle cool down or getting all serious about holding the dot steady, breathing, etc. Each target is 10 rounds and shot in the order listed. The target dot is 1". 1. Federal XM193 5.56mm 55gr. 2. Wolf Gold .223 55gr. 3. ZQ1 (MKE) from WalMart 5.56mm 62gr. Yes, this ammo is essentially m855, even attracts a magnet. 4. Federal XM855 5.56mm 62gr. 5. PMC X-Tac 5.56mm 62gr 6. ZQ1 (MKE) 5.56mm 62gr after adjusting sight.

Or if you prefer a religious reference - see the entire bool of genesis - from cain and able, to joseph and his jealous brothers. To Isaac and easu, to noah, to soddom and gomorrah, to the tower of babel. Your problem is you don't see the issue as a human foible but rather a problem of having a government.

 28.   Golden Triangle Defensive Tactics - Essential Carbine Skills     Skills and Topics covered: Weapon selection Rapid and Tactical Reloading Ammunition Terminal Ballistics Sight Adjustment Sight Offset Weapon accessories Weapon modifications Maintenance   Equipment Requirements: Rifle (semi auto) with a detachable magazine Three magazines of at least 15 rounds  Sling or carry strap 300 rounds of ammo (at least) Handgun - holster and 50 rounds of ammo Eye and ear protection Water Rain Gear (rain will not cancel the class) Chair Lunch OR cash for lunch. There is a GREAT little burger place.   ***The above was taken pretty much verbatim from GTDT. http://www.goldentriangledefensivetactics.com     Intro:   Let me start by saying that I am essentially a novice shooter. I have been shooting for about 4 years, but I have only really taken in seriously in the last year or so. I have taken levels 1,2 and 3 from GTDT for Handgun. Those classes were fantastic, and they really helped me learn how to carry, draw and deploy a handgun in a defensive situation. This review is not about those classes, but just know that they are excellent. Will Dougan is the instructor, and he is a very good teacher. His resume is on the website above. The classes I have taken have been very informative and entertaining; there is never a dull moment. I walked away knowing how to properly operate my firearm and how and what I need to work on in practice. If you are looking for a place to train in the Memphis or west Tennessee area, you will be hard pressed to find a better school. The classes offered are usually single day classes, and the prices are very reasonable. Will is also a very generous guy. If there is ANY gear in the list that you don’t have, just reach out to Will, and he will line it up for you to borrow for the class. This includes basic gear such as the rifle itself. If you want to take a class before buying your first rifle, this is your place.      Flow of the Class:   Hopefully I don’t leave anything out. We started off with 2 round drills from low ready and progressively started mixing in mag changes and 4 round drills. After that we moved into different ways of holding the rifle with your support hand, so you have an opportunity to find what was more natural and works better for you. We then went to shooting on the move. After that was different types of ways to carry your rifle and present from standing. We covered standard 2 point, single point, and African carry. At this point in the class there is a lot of repetition and correction going on to make sure that you have practiced enough of each skill to build up muscle memory and work on smoothing out the drill. Once through that we continued to run some drills involving several mag changes and shooting from standing (non-ready). We also covered some different ways of aiming such as standard shouldering, shouldering in the middle of your chest, and granny style and over the shoulder for extreme close range. Then there was lunch. There is a fantastic little place a block away called The Burger Basket. I would almost drive the hour from Memphis to get one. After lunch, we introduced cover to the mix and talked about the difference between cover and concealment. Once we got the hang of that on how to hide and aim, we were introduced to a more dynamic part of the course with multiple points of cover and moving to and from cover. We also covered retaining your weapon in a struggle which included different ways of regaining control and aiming while someone is holding your rifle and transitioning to your sidearm if need be. After that, we moved into sidearm transitions which were made more dynamic with incorporating them into moving to and from different cover points. I am sure there is some stuff that I left out, but you should have an idea of what the class looks like.      Conclusion:   GTDT is a great place to train. Will is a fantastic instructor, the course content was great, and the prices are reasonable. We went through about 350 rounds total. This is not a high round count kind of class. The count is kept intentionally low to drive more focus on reloading and weapon manipulation and to help with the high cost of ammo. There was a brand new shooter in the mix at the class. It was literally his first time to ever shoot a gun. He did fantastic. Will was able to show him how to run his rifle, and he left a much more confident man. This class is really great for first time shooters and experienced shooter alike. If you get nothing else from this review, please know that YouTube, Magazines, DVDs and hunting can NOT replace real, personal, professional firearms instruction. There is a difference in “knowing” how to do something and actually learning how to do it and have a pro correct and instruct you. So, if you are in the Memphis or West TN area, and you want some quality training on your firearm, do not hesitate to train with GTDT. They are stand up folks and a great school. I am eagerly looking forward to Essential Shotgun at the end of the month!

 29. I cannot deny any of the above statement ha ha. I can't even begin to tell you how happy I was when I saw the shiny rock :) And yes, I almost have a heart attack when I see a deer    When I have my own property I can't wait to start my own food plot! I know that had to be exciting for you to see the dirt showing where food used to be Slappy. Even if you don't kill a deer off the food plot that year, you still know you're helping the herd.   Can't wait to see your report on the stands. I'm about due for a new climber, had mine for about 10 years now. It still works, that's the only reason I haven't upgraded. Probably hang on to it for a backup and for when my brother comes to visit.

 32. Cops don’t go to law school, but many departments give plenty of training. Cops aren’t perfect, they make mistakes; just like lawyers. I can tell you stories of people that went to prison because of their lawyers. I agree they should know the law. But did he chew yours friends azz out or just make a casual observation that he needed to sign his registration, as he was letting him go with a warning? I really wouldn’t care what a cops opinion on the law is if he isn’t arresting/ticketing me for it.   Did KPD not respond to the armed robbery? Are they not keeping your friend informed of the investigation? What is his complaint? (Other than thinking if they hadn’t been doing their other duties they would have been there and stopped the robber) Does KPD handle accidents on the interstate? If they don’t you should make a complaint about that. They have no business writing tickets if it’s not their area of responsibility. However...I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. Your Chief of Police is responsible for using his resources to prevent crime. If you think your chances of getting injured or killed by an armed robber are greater than they are of being injured or killed by a traffic offender; you have a valid complaint. Do your research; if you find that is true you might want to think about moving. However...I have walked in their shoes, I am pro law enforcement and proud of it and the job most of them do.

 35. Yep but it's not necessarily hard nor a loss on your part.  Keep the 1/7 for longer range shooting and get you some 75 grain stuff (tracers are fun!) but buy you a nice 1/9 with a Wylde chamber and shoot the cheaper stuff when your not trying to go out past 250.   This group and the info on AR15.com can walk you through a barrel swap. Heck, several of us, including myself, schedule permitting can have you swing by and swap out barrels.

To your second paragraph, that question was very well answered by Ted. The market is very good at providing things people actually want and need, not what some folks in legislative halls think everyone else should have.
It all sounds great until you get that one guy who decides he wants to steal stuff, kill, rape or rule the freedom loving anarchist society. Or worse, he gets together with some like minded fellows a Then you're screwed. I understand what you are sayung about the danger of the state- and i am an Ayn Rand libertarian all the way. I do also see the value of ordered liberty as our founders originally intended - and i see it as Dar superior to pure anarachy. 39. Still a bad idea.  This is a night with a bunch of young kids out and about.  Why would you even want to bring that kind of attention to yourself?       My advice.  Dress up as whatever you want, but leave the gun, real or fake, at home.   Don't be that guy that thinks it cool or funny, it isn't.  All you will do is bring negative attention to the gun debate.  We have enough idiots working against us, don't be one of them.  If you had an hcp I would say conceal carry if you want to, but don't OC in that situation.  I am not against OC, but in this case, it makes no sense.

 44.   Including their stock prices.   SWHC normally traded around $4-$6 a few years ago. It started climbing in January 2012 to a high of a little over $15 last June and has been falling ever since. There was nothing that would have caused the value of the company to triple over 18 months. It's at $10.51 now, so I see it further correcting down to the $5-$6 range. Mostly because their financial sheets are pretty flat over this whole time. There's no real reason for the up-tick in the stock price. They saw a decent increase in cash from operations over the last couple of years due to the increased sales, but that's coming back down.   I haven't looked at Ruger, but I suspect a similar pattern.

 45.  Definitely bring targets as stated above. A stapler would be great but not a must have as they have a few loaners  but if it's busy it could be fun to try and track down the person with the stapler. If you guys like to shoot trap then take your shotguns because he has some really nice hydraulic clay target machines. There is a "pit" down by the pistol ranges that is good times with an AR. It's one of the few places around that you can shot left, right and straight. You won't find nicer folks.
