If at all possible, I think everyone should try to make the Tulsa gun show sometime in their life (4200 tables). They're twice a year, April and November. They weren't this big when I lived around there but they were still huge! From their page: Something to think about: If all our tables (2800 8ft. and 1300 6ft.) were placed end to end they would stretch 5.7 miles! If you spend the whole 18 hours we are open to the public and divide that by 4,200 tables, You will have 15.4 seconds to look at each table. April 7 & 8, 2018 Nov. 10 & 11, 2018 April 6 & 7, 2019 Nov. 9 & 10, 2019 April 4 & 5, 2020 Nov. 14 & 15, 2020 April 10 & 11, 2021 Nov. 13 & 14, 2021 April 2 & 3, 2022 Nov. 12 & 13, 2022 April 1 & 2, 2023 Nov. 11 & 12, 2023 http://www.tulsaarmsshow.com/home.html2 points

In Illinois so are supposed the check their FOID status. https://www.ispfsb.com/Public/Firearms/FOID/PersonToPersonFirearmTransfer.aspx Of course there is no logic or reason to the debate. If you have money, someone will sell you a gun no matter what state you are in or where you are from. Most narcotics are a felony to sell. But it’s obviously not hard to find a seller.2 points

For Veterans Day, 11-11-2017, I picked up a slightly used CZ P-09 9mm. Came with box and all accessories, $436 OTD at Guns & Leather in Greenbrier Tn. (good folks). Shot it Sunday and it ran great. Carried it OWB for awhile, big pistol, 19 round mag with one in the chamber. Sorry I don't do pictures but it looks like all other black P-09s.1 point

Ha! Thanks but not sure if I could do it again, now. That was from 2009, if I recall correctly, and the past eight years have taken their toll on both my eyesight and the steadiness of my hands - plus I think the stars were just aligned right that day or something. I hope to make it back down to Spring Creek one of these days, though, so maybe I will try it just to see.1 point

I'd suggest sighting in from a solid rest at known distances, then practice from possible field positions, including off hand, at a variety of distances and angles.1 point

My 11 year old grandson bagged his first muzzle loader buck yesterday! A funny story....lol. It was about 9 AM and he was actually asleep in the stand and the buck woke him up snorting. He was up a tree about 20 feet and the buck was about 10 yards away and could smell him but could not see him so it snorted and woke Logan up. It took Logan a few seconds to realize what was going on and the deer began to walk away. Didn't spook but was headed towards a thicket so Logan hit his grunt and the buck stopped and and turned he got the shot and bagged an 8 pointer. I am suppose to be getting pictures of the deer today but I will probably have to remind Justin, his older brother to send them. Logan called me all excited about hs first Muzzle Loader deer.1 point

If you carried one of those Aiwb... "Yes, that is a gun and I am excited to see you." Leading to Blazing Saddles, "excuse me while I whip this out." Bob, glad you're here!1 point

Visiting family in Franklin, TN this week and have noticed several city officers but couldn't really make out their sidearm, looked like a Glock. Can anybody confirm (didn't see them on the list)? On a side note, I was impressed to see a moto-officer with a 14" barreled 870 on his motorcycle. Very cool.1 point

I saw one of their sergeants in court yesterday. What he was carrying looked to be a Glock 22.1 point

Fairview Chief of Police. He's easy to get along with, but he smokes more weed than you could haul in a dump truck. For the popo's to choose such an odd ball caliber is no real surprise. I know a couple cops out here and I am darn glad they are on the force and glad to know them. Good cops. There's a few out here who feel the need to whip it out regularly and compare lengths.1 point

Negative. Glock is making guns in Georgia now but they are all being exported. Any Glock you buy here in the U.S. is made in Austria. Strange isn't it?1 point

The Bartlett PD gun is correct (P226), but the caliber should be .357 Sig, not .40 S&W. Also, University of Memphis Police carries the same P229 DAK in .40 as Memphis P.D.1 point
