  1. Picked this up cheap last week. Tanfoglio maker mark and dates to 1963. I’ve never had a derringer and looking forward to trying it. Think I’ll use some wad cutters. I bet even then it’s going to kick. Doesn’t look to have been shot much if any. Bores are perfect. Would make a good boot gun.

  6. starting a little turnover in the gun safe... this gun was purchased new by me in May 2021 and has never been fired. i've seen these go close to $1000 on gunbroker but i don't want to mess with that. i am well aware you can get a new glock 17 much cheaper than this but i think this is a fair price for a glock collector. don't need to sell so please no lowball offers. https://www.luckygunner.com/lounge/review-glock-17m-duty-pistol/ i will not travel more than 25 miles from rocky hill in west knoxville (37919) to sell. buyer must show TN ID (prefer HCP) and be legally able to purchase a handgun. do not contact me if you can't. happy to answer any questions or provide more information or pictures to seriously interested parties. $795 cash price preferred. trades up or down considered but i don't have much luck with trading. thanks for looking.

  32. Oh, I am not arguing against the fact that there are a lot of other reasons to dislike Sig Sauer. My personal beef with them is that they will release a new handgun that makes you think, "Oh I should buy this!" only to release an evolved version of that same gun a year later that makes you think "I should have waited for this one instead."

  36. My late best friend was an avid C&R collector. He had about a dozen SKSs, at least 8-10 Mosin Nagants and a bunch of other Mil-surp weapons. He also kept good records. Including what he had paid for each. The most he ever paid for any of them was $100 and that was for a new in factory wrap SKS. When he passed, I was put in charge of disposing of his collection. I sold all of them for 3-4 times what he had paid. They sold quick because I still had them priced a fair bit below the standard pricing at the time. Today's prices are even higher. We went to a gunshow with just over 100 guns. We came home with 11 and a huge profit.

  37. Amen to that! I acquired a mint, unissued Tula Arsenal SKS for $80 from my brother back then. Came with a SKS sling, oil can and chamber brush He bought 2 crates of Russian SKS rifles back in the early 90’s. They were Christmas gifts for his men who worked in his construction company. One of the younger men actually cried when he held the Tula rifle in his hands. Told my brother this was the first rifle he had ever owned because he grew up in a very poor home. My brother later told me the kid took his first ever deer on a hunt with one of his supervisors. Good times in the good ole days

  41. It's been years since I lived in the area but Citico/Tellico is one of my favorite places on Earth. Not sure it checks the box of not remote, but that's one of the things I like about it. If it helps, I'd call it remote, but you can drive right up too the creek in Citico as the road follows the creek. Depending on your exact location alive the creek you are no further than maybe 45 minutes from Madisonville or Tellico Plains. I see you are in Oak Ridge. I used to live there too. Although I prefer Tellico/Citico the Clinch River is nothing to turn your nose up at.
