TRex Arms is offering a free P320 holster exchange. If you bought a P320 holster from them they will send you a holster for a different gun of your choice once you mail your P320 holster to them. It’s actually a solid move on two fronts. Good PR move at a time that they need it and also liability reduction as well since Sig likes to blame holsters for their uncommanded discharges.4 points

Because P330’s literally go off without Goober’s booger hook on the trigger or otherwise jacking around. As reported, the guns at idle, with no intervention or a hand on them, just sometimes spontaneously fire.2 points

Well...... good news bad news. The Softail is back together & runs absolutely perfectly. The upgrade to the transmission is something that, now I've done it, I would 100% recommend to anyone with an Evo. It's like shifting gears on a jap bike! (I mean that as a compliment, from someone who grew up with Japanese bikes) No slop, no play, clicks in & out of gear like a mouse button. Shifting is absolutely silent too Hands down, no question a different bike in such a great way! It was a chore getting to it, but the actual trans work itself was about a 30 minute job. I ended up trimming back the 'wings' on the sides of my oil tank to aid reinstallment & with that done, it's a piece of cake to get in & out, so that's a bonus. The other MAJOR bonus, is that it's stopped leaking oil! I could never quite figure out exactly where it was coming from, but wherever it was was obviously either a gasket or seal I just replaced. The Wife is going to be happy! The bad news is that I went to jump on my sporty chop for a quick lunchtime cool off & I noticed that there's a crack in one of my welds, right at the neck, which unfortunately means that I have to completely strip out all the front end, wiring, brake lines & cables, sand off all the powder coat & re-weld it with some extra bracing I'm just going to do that for now & throw some crap paint on it so I can keep riding, but once winter kicks in I'll have to tear it down to the bare frame & have it re-powdercoated. It gives me a chance to clean up a couple of bits I wasn't 100% happy with, but still......2 points

I'm not sure it would be right to sell a firearm if you truly believe that it's a safety hazard. My inclination would be to set it aside and hope that one day Sig will do the right thing. If not, then I guess I'd just take the loss and destroy it.2 points

i am selling my Sabre Defense XR15 which has the Adams piston system to keep cool and clean. Never fired it myself. I picked it up off of gunbroker.com several years ago and had Royal Range go over it for me. It is really solid with no rattles. I loved the Sabre because it was manufactured in Nashville. Not interested in trades. Meet at Royal Range in Bellevue (West Nashville) or my office near downtown Nashville.1 point

I was on Glock's website today and noticed that many Glock models are being discontinued. This may not be new to some but it was to me. I am a little surprised at the amount of models and which ones were being discontinued. Here is a list from Glock's website. Discontinued Commercial Pistol Models G17 – Gen4 G17 MOS – Gen4 | Gen5 G17L – Classic | Gen3 G17L MOS – Gen5 G19 – Gen4 G19 MOS – Gen4 G20 – Gen3 | Gen4 G21 – Gen3 | Gen4 G21SF G22 – Gen3 | Gen4 | Gen5 G22 MOS – Gen5 G23 – Gen4 G24 G26 – Gen4 G27 – Gen3 | Gen 4 | Gen5 G29 – Gen3 | Gen 4 | Gen5 G29SF G30 – Gen3 | Gen 4 | Gen5 G31 – Gen3 | Gen4 G32 – Gen3 | Gen4 G33 – Gen3 | Gen4 G34 – Gen3 | Gen4 G34 MOS – Gen4 | Gen5 G35 – Gen3 | Gen4 G35 MOS – Gen4 G36 G36 FGR G37 – Gen3 | Gen4 G38 G39 G40 MOS – Gen4 G41 – Gen4 G41 MOS – Gen4 G49 Why is GLOCK discontinuing so many models? In order to focus on the products that will drive future innovation and growth, we are making a strategic decision to reduce our current commercial portfolio. This streamlined approach allows us to concentrate on continuing to deliver the highest-quality and most relevant solutions for the market. What does this mean for me as a customer? You’ll still have access to the most popular GLOCK models you know and love—just with a more focused selection. Will discontinued models still be supported? Yes! Just like we do with previous generations. We will continue to service discontinued models. Do these portfolio changes affect law enforcement agencies? GLOCK remains fully committed to supporting the varying needs of our law enforcement partners. While IOP programs may be affected, GLOCK is prepared to work closely with LE partners to make sure officer and agency needs are met. For more questions, contact your LE District Manager.1 point

I believe it’s the confluence of several compounding factors. 1. it’s a really a DA design, retrofitted to become a striker gun, 2. the engagement surfaces between the sear and the striker block are minuscule (1/3) in comparison to other striker guns 3. Known trigger return spring issues prevent complete trigger reset, reducing striker block engagement even further; enough that vibration or impact can cause it to release 4. the lack of a trigger safety like other striker gun makes it more prone to a true Accidental Discharge, by not creating a physical barrier to incidental trigger motion 5. I think the drop safe failure and this issue have the same root cause, but I also think the previous known and supposedly “corrected” issue has predisposed us to look for them. 6. the pre-cocked striker design in general basically to me it’s similar to carrying a bullseye style single action gun with all safeties removed which, interestingly enough, did you know that the US Cavalry lost more troopers to NDs with their single action army revolvers than all the Indian wars combined?1 point

I get it, Rob. And, if the discharge is due to a manufacturer making the gun incorrectly, arguably the correct word is still "negligent" - just in reference to the company, not the owner. But that name is already taken...1 point

The Jericho 941RB is a niche within a niche, an all steel, compact carry version of the Jericho 941 series. These are my favorite semiauto, da/sa pistols. They’re heavy, but relatively small, carry 13+1 rounds of 9mm, and just look and feel amazing in the hand. Because of the weight and design, the RB is also one of the softest shooting compact 9mm pistols I’ve ever used. SA trigger pull is nice and crisp, and the DA is better than any stock CZ I’ve owned. Only design changes I would like would be moving the deocker to the frame like a CZ P-01/PCR, and beveled edges in the front muzzle like Sig does for the classic P series. An all stainless option would’ve been amazing as well! Unfortunately, these have been out of production for several years now.1 point

I was hunting with a guy that had an AR15. We didn't know it has just broken a hammer pin. He was about to make a shot and went to click the safety off when it fired. We were able to recreated it 5 or 6 times in a row on an empty gun. A ND really didn't fit the bill.1 point

TGO David actually nailed me good on this once. I said something similar in another thread, and he replied "Yeah, sort of like Smith and Wesson revolvers." That hurt a little.1 point

Protein is added to flour and cornmeal, that's the change you taste in breads. I've searched, thrown out lots of bread because of the taste or smell when toasted. Europe won't buy our flour and corn meal because of the added protein. My son's senior year of high school, 1991. A friend delivers for Pizza Hut, sees that we order a lot for our family of 5. Oh, I have a few left over most every night, I'll bring you one. Sunday morning a week later there are 3 pizza boxes on the counter when I get home from work. An odor is in the air. 3 pizza hut pizzas have green growth on top. All went to the outdoor trashcan. I could drive by one of their locations, get a smell and feel sick. All closed here now.1 point

Every 320 I fired had a meh trigger. I admit that competitive shooting has gradually made me a bit of a trigger snob, but I've never seen one that fired after anything close to a measly 1mm of trigger prep. Which of these recalls and upgrades were because the gun was mechanically dangerous? I hope you don't mean the NY1 and NY2 trigger springs - those were merely optional parts that interested pretty much no one except a few New York police bureaucrats who wanted to mimic their old issued DA revolvers. Ironically, the NY springs don't even fit currently made Glocks.1 point

The gun is faulty. You should not be able to shoot yourself without putting the muzzle to your body and pulling the trigger. Sorry you like the gun, but "My gun has never done that " type of talk doesn't cut it when lives or on the line. Something is going on and Sig is responsible for every injury at this point.1 point

Plain ol’ black ARs bore me, so I decided to try my hand at painting one when I built my shorty 5.56. I’m not set up for Cerakoting, but have researched and read that Brownell’s Aluma-hyde II is pretty close durability-wise and decided to give it a shot. Aluma-hyde II is supposedly a lot tougher than run-of-the-mill rattle can. After much trial and error (Aluma-hyde II can be finicky), I painted an upper, lower, and handguard with two coats of OD green and three coats of matte clear. The clear gave it sort of a satin eggshell finish that I found appealing. I fashioned a hillbilly dutch oven for redneck curing with a large cardboard box lined with aluminum foil (when my wife wasn't looking), and a hair dryer poking through a hole in the bottom. It was good for about 160F and I think worked well. If I were going to Badlandistan to chase hajiis, I would probably skip the clear. The build: Aero M4E1 upper and lower Aero R-One 10.3”” handguard Wilson Combat 11.3” 1/7 barrel Wilson BCG Superlative Arms adjustable gas block Triggertech 3.5 Competitive trigger JP Silent Captured buffer SB Tactical SBA5 brace and a B5 Systems grip (played 50 shades of FDE trying to get a near match with these two) Leupold Mark 4 1-4.5 LPVO Hope to shoot it soon.1 point

Since you asked for opinions, here's mine: SELL IT If it ever did 'accidentally' go off and hurt you or your wife, you'd never forgive yourself because the P320 just going off is a 'thing' and you knew about it. It's not worth the risk when there are so many other great options out there that aren't just going off in holsters for no apparent reason.1 point
