  1. You know how it is...moving a few along to make room for a few more. This is an early Ruger Mini-14, wood stock and handguard, made in 1976 and stamped "Made in the 200th Year of American Liberty." In good condition with a few scrapes on the stock. It may have some collector value, if that can be said of a gun as plentiful as the Mini-14. This particular specimen has a glass-bedded action and is fitted with Millett front and rear sights (now discontinued and with some possible collector value themselves). If you wanted to restore this to its original configuration you could just

  4. My RMR Type 2 arrived yesterday, looking forward to testing as soon as I can remove the rear sight. My experience is when I reach about 15+ yards, my sights are so large, the POI is covered, so precision is a greater challenge. Will the glass fog, break and batteries die at the worst possible moment, of course. I haven't read a volume of reports of failed dots in gun fights, but hey, I carry a second pistol, so I can overcome mechanical dot or firearm failure.

  5. I've had an extra Anderson Lower receiver and PSA lower Parts Kit, as well as a generic carry handle laying around here for quite some time. I decided I'd order one of these upper receivers from PSA. Bargain Basement Upper It showed up today, not quite a week after I ordered it, so I ran a patch through the bore, sprayed the BCG with oil, and gave it a go. I fired a couple of shots from about 20 yards offhand to verify where my sight were. That checked out ok, so I moved to the 100 yard bench. The only frill on this carbine is the ambi safety, as I an southpaw challen

  15. Beretta supplies 4 plates (Trijicon, Leupold, Burris, and C-More) with the RDO model. I was going to remount my Burris FF3 until Best Gun Buddy gifted me the RMR. While not a big deal right now in the journey, Beretta does not make suppressor height sights, assuming because the APX didn't catch on.

  17. This is one of the finest 22lr I’ve ever shot. Only selling because I have others and this sits in the safe. Less than 75 rounds from me. Gorgeous wood, fantastic trigger, and such fine lines. You just want to stare...go ahead, it’s ok. This gun came with leupold scope mounts and I have a Sightron 36x scope attached. I’m leaving it on the gun and the buyer can have it for 350. It’s 450 at Midway and not in stock. I’ll remove it if buyer passes. That said, this gun is sighted in and ready to go. For those of us that like suppressed weapons, this one is the bomb. With subsonic ammo, there i

  19. We have raised chickens for the past 6 years and they are not that much trouble. You can make it easy or hard. Clean water is a priority, they can last for days without food. I have had 2 batches of red sex links and they are superior layers. I currently have a small flock of Black copper marans and also a flock of Dominic's. Dominic's are considered the oldest breed of chickens in the U.S. As mentioned by others, most critters like chicken. Domestic dogs are the #1killer. Do some reading at backyard chickens they can answer any questions. A 8X8 coop is big enough, the run where they spend the

  22. You should! Then you'd have a complete set! (These pistols are really underrated. This one runs whatever ammo you feed it. They are built on Beretta CNC machinery, if you read the history on them. And they moved the safety from the slide to the frame, which is nicer.)

  24. Gun guru Jim Cirillo had a system he called silhouette point shooting. Here the gun was raised to eye level, pointed at the target. But you didn't use sights. Instead you focused on looking squarely at the back of the gun. The sides, bottom or top should not be visible. What this does is make sure that you are square with the target and the gun was square with you. Or simply put, the gun was pointed where you were looking. The man survived over a dozen gun fights. I tend to listen to his advice.

  31. Picked mine up today. It's everything it was hyped to be. Trigger is fantastic. Short clean break, definitive short reset, and light but consistent pull. Grip/ergonomics are phenomenal. Basically it took a great PPQ platform and accentuated all the good parts and made them even better. Have a Holosun 407c to mount as soon as I get the mount plate. Can't wait to shoot it tomorrow!

  36. No it's not going away unless the Chinese makes a more potent disease. Mighty suspicious to me that you rarely hear of the flu anymore? And since this chicom flu is going to be just like the common cold, there is no cure. The shot that people are taking won't cure this virus.

  37. Leroy, I remember those days as well. To get my first handgun permit (1992) I had to write a letter to the Sheriff explaining why I wanted a permit, take a class, be bonded and even then it was only good in my county. Getting it was left totally up to the Sheriff's desecration. Fortunately at the time, our Sheriff was pretty open minded about armed citizens. However, in many counties a handgun permit was impossible to get because the Sheriff was against it and rejected all applications. As for the Tennessee Sheriff's Association, these guys are politicians, not law men. Never expect the
