On that note, there’s not a bridge structure on earth that can withstand the force of impact from a 300M/97,000 ton vessel.6 points

Yep. I wonder how much prices in general are going to go up now due to this new hitch in the supply chain. I’m being a bit facetious, but also serious. Where do the boats with European ammo shipments land? Hope it’s not around there.4 points

Due to the restrictions, I wont ship the batteries. To many rules and regs to follow and to my cost. 3 - 5.0 batteries for $180 cash with local meetup Or will trade for cash value in .44 special or .45 ACP ammo. Self defense or target. I picked these up think I was gonna make the switch to Milwaukee a few months ago, and then changed my mind after the fact since I didnt wanna replace everything. Cheapest price I can find is $70 each on Amazon so lets call it $180 for all 3 batteries as a set. Thats $60 each, but Id rather sell then all together. Milwaukee XC5.0 Redlithium batteries, part # 48-11-1850. One package has had a sale sticker of some kind stuck to it, but all 3 are sealed in the in orginal clamshells. Meet up local to Oak Ridge, Clinton or West Knox, possibly Lenoir City.3 points

Probably not a bad idea. The monsters are no larger than before but there are more of them and they are more emboldened since the current judicial system tends to side with them. "Better to be judged by twelve than carried by six....."3 points

Had my shoulder scoped (3-18-24) on Monday, and really feeling it today. Bone spurs. Removed 2 large ones and cleaned up rotator cuff where the spurs damaged. Very sore this morning. Go for bandage change tomorrow and set P T in motion. Been dealing with much pain for over a year. Was on blood thinner for 4 heart stent insertion last year. Looking forward to improvements.3 points

It was amazing how fast it collapsed. I probably shouldn't have been so surprised but you think something big will take a while but it's not like there are many support points and they are all crucial.3 points

Depending on the transportation of goods affected by this incident, you might be paying out of pocket at the store just like everyone has in the past 4 years. Prices have gone up tremendously and that is directly related to pandemic policies and the disruption of the supply chain. If the bridge is that important then “we” will pay to rebuild it asap. Your tax dollars, mine, and everyone else that pays federal taxes. Even Biden’s government will go after whoever they can for compensation from insurance or the shipping company that owns the defective ship.2 points

My first question is WHY don't you use it anymore. I'm hoping because you got a better one or some alternative vs simply "I quit using it". Sorry/Not sorry about the health challenge, but I couldn't imagine being without mine. Total game changer.2 points

Just to save some time, here is a link to Google Maps showing its location, if you're interested. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Francis+Scott+Key+Bridge,+Baltimore,+MD/@39.2296089,-76.6271455,10z/data=!4m6!3m5!1s0x89c80052ddeb3cad:0xf3fb8c8f100a3e9e!8m2!3d39.2144778!4d-76.5316628!16zL20vMDR2Njgw?entry=ttu There is a big ole red exclamation point over it on the map now.2 points

It’s also gonna have a major impact on trucking (especially hazmat transportation) along the east coast. This is a big deal.2 points

Nothing wrong with it in my opinion. I have the 1st rifle I ever shot. But I had to purchase my grandfathers entire collection from the "estate" to get it. 100% worth it2 points
-
Absolutely not. I have a single shot .22 that belonged to my Grandpa and I probably havent shot it a dozen times in 20 years. It has a permanent place in my gun case because no amount of money can buy those memories and that provenance2 points

^ Great deal. I jumped on brass S&B that was loaded to 10mm spec at $.40CPR a good bit ago. Wouldn’t hesitate to do it again shipped and tax free. Anyone who wants to stash 10mm for handguns I’d move on this.1 point

I’ve shot most of those and prefer the Blaser due to the low receiver striker fire design and balance. But more importantly it’s how the gun fits you and how the balance feels in your hand.1 point

For the record here, the Francis Scott Key bridge is a part of the federal interstate highway system (I-695). It is also a primary conduit of truck traffic through the area and the designated route for hazmat cargo through Baltimore. this will have a significant impact on commerce and logistics, both by land and sea for quite a while until the bridge has been rebuilt.1 point

March 22, 2024 Gun Owners Lobby Date 2024 - Sign up now! In the next paragraph, the underlined "Sign up now" is a button to do just that. Last week when I testified in committees, Mom's Demand Action, Covenant Moms and Safter TN filled the room. if that is all legislators see, that is how they will vote... Tennessee Firearms Association and Gun Owners of America are planning a Gun Owners Lobby Day to be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at the Tennessee Legislature. Sign up now! We must have accurate estimates of attendance by Tuesday, March 26, 2024 to place orders. We are planning to work that day to insist that our Legislators put a constitutional amendment (HJR0038 / SJR 0904) on the ballot in 2026 for gun owners. We will also be working to pass the handful of good 2nd Amendment bills that are pending and to make clear that we expect Legislators that they need to STOP most of the bills that are pending this year that include Red Flag laws, new crimes targeted at owners, new taxes to be imposed on gun owners and just more and more "big state" proposals to burden all citizens. Several of you have already signed up based on the announcement last week in the Legislative Report, and/or the announcements by TFA on Facebook or Twitter. We need an accurate estimate and time is critical! Also, contact your Tennessee State Legislators to demand that they sponsor the proposed Constitutional Amendment to restore your Second Amendment Rights. Some Legislators have proposed and are supporting a Constitutional amendment that would repeal the existing unconstitutional provision and substitute the phrase “That the citizens of this State have a right to keep, bear, and wear arms.” (See Amendment 1 to HJR0038 by Rep. Jay Reedy and SJR0904 by Sen. John Stevens) The amendment would, at the state level, reinforce that state legislators, local governments and others government decision makers are constitutionally prohibited from engaging in any “interest balancing” that the Supreme Court has said the Second Amendment prohibits. TFA has an easy to use email advocacy call to action tool that allows you to email your House and Senate members, the Lt. Governor, the Speaker of the House and Tennessee Governor with your request that they support amending Tennessee's constitution.1 point

In all the years I've carried, a .380 mouse gun or .38 snub nose have kept the monsters from even thinking about bothering me. Maybe I should upgrade to a 10mm.1 point

This doesn't surprise me in the least. I flat told my VA doctor that I wouldn't confirm or deny gun ownership. He said good, but he's an actual American citizen. I feel sorry for those who have H-1b doctors.1 point

I've got my grandfather's 12 gauge bolt action shotgun and S&W model 18. The shotgun is the first I ever shot. The S&W was the interest I paid him on a college loan - he wouldn't agree to interest so I gave him the gun when I made the last payment. He said he didn't want it, so I told him to toss it in the lake. He passed away years later but still hadn't made that trip to the lake... Both are priceless to me.1 point

Have gone to a Glock 48 or Sig 365 because of age. 1911's and Gock 17's were too big and the all metal guns too heavy. Getting old kind of sucks.1 point

There is a huge difference between shooting at an indoor range behind the line with the barriers between the shooters and shooting in front of them. It’s still loud but it doesn’t reverberate.I’ve shot dozens of indoor USPSA and IDPA matches, with only one person firing at a time it’s not that bad.1 point
