Yeah, he's been predicting decisive win for some time on The Factor; O'Reilly has told him he'll be a total pariah if he's wrong. Whattaya bet the the market jumps up significantly the day after Mitt wins, or falls even more if BHO does? - OS2 points

I think they guard it in order to hold at bay an individual's greatist fear: being forgotten. Every life counts and the sacrifices made COUNT. No one wants to fade away and be forgotten. I have lost loved ones and it seems like the world will never go on without them, yet somehow it does. So I guess everyone can fade eventually, but in those instances the family remembers. The unknown solider does not even have a name. The guarding of the tomb insures that despite not having a name, they will not be forgotten.2 points

On a privately owned forum? In that sense FB is no different than TGO. You're welcome to use it at the pleasure of the owners. They can censor you or boot you at any time and you really have no recourse, nor should you.2 points

Doesn’t matter what we say, you will be the one responsible for your outcome. Use common sense and keep the gun politics out of it (statements about rights, what other people think, self-appointed messiah of forcing guns on people, or other silliness that has nothing to do with the issue at hand) and the choice will be pretty clear.2 points

Good stuff. While I don't mind eating the flesh (fresh, not that nasty shredded packaged crap), coconut drinks are . Dood... that's avatar material there!2 points

Agreed. Ultimately it is your choice. I believe there is a time and place for both, however, 99% of the time I CC. I don't care for all the extra attention when I OC.2 points

So a new buck showed up on the cam lastnight and it appears as though he has a pretty major wound. It seems as though he is getting around ok but do any of you have a clue as to what it could be from? Only thing I could think of is maybe he was gored by another buck, but I really have no clue.1 point

I am a pool player by winter and building anything wood or mechanical, working on old cars and playing bad golf lol. I like having fun no matter what it is doing building an entertainment center with hidden drawers or working on an old car its all good to me.1 point

Very nice. A true classic. I would even go so far as to say one of the greatest rifles ever invented, I like them that much.1 point

Leory, I'm guessing this is more a matter of, "keep your mouth shut and we'll let you retire quietly and collect your pension." They had enough guts to take actions they likely knew would result in these consequences. Let's hope they don't back down now.1 point

New York triggers. I know a couple of younger fellas who shoot well and like these. If you take the spring out the trigger does become something akin to a steady pressure revolver trigger all the way through to break. Glock or any gun aftermarket. Keep in mind that the gun companies design, produce, market and distribute these guns to make money. Unless the gun is some high end gun nearly any handgun can be tweaked through judicious use of aftermarket if available. Although if believed the profit margin on Glocks is quite high compared to other handguns in its class. However, for some reason aftermarket pops up on nearly any sub $700.00 handgun to some extent. For instance: Gallowy Precision and RTK have come up with some nice aftermarket improvements for Ruger, KelTec and I believe Taurus pistols. Apex has some nice stuff for S&W M&P, as well as S&W revolvers. In rifles Basix and Timiney immediately come to mind. So mass production does work or Marlin wouldn't have sold over 11,000,000 Model 60s. However even the Marlin 60 can benefit from aftermarket from DIP Products. I say if you like it stock fine, shoot the tar out of that thing, but if you like to tweak a little more performance, accuracy, comfort out of a mass production piece I say go ahead and shoot the tar out of that thing. My Sig X-Five is stock, but my Glocks, LC9 and Keltec are not.1 point

It's your personal choice. When I do carry "Toad" around, I OC at home in the woods and on the water. Everywhere else it's CC because it's no one's business that I have a weapon on me. I don't like the attention it draws. Dave S1 point

I'm guessing that even if Congress in their ineptitude were to strip funding for this, that our soldiers would still find a way to honor the memory of their brothers who never came home - even if that meant doing it on their own time and finding another way to pay for it. I'd certainly donate to the cause.1 point

That would probably be an aftermarket conversion. AEV Brute or something along those lines. Afaik there are no factory Jeep trucks on the market.1 point

Don't blame the kids. It's humans in general. Moral decadence precedes destruction. Where are the Romans? Agent Smith said it best and I love to quote him on it: I'd like to share a revelation I've had during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species. I realized that you're not actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with their surrounding environment, but you humans do not. You move to an area and you multiply... and multiply until every natural resource is consumed. The only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet.1 point

I have learned two things with all of the cat/black panther and dog threads. People love dogs WAY more than cats. I don't think I read one threat in all of the cat/black panther threads combined. Uncountable threats in this dog thread though. And dog owners sound surprisingly like bad parents of thugs. Project living crack head momma sez "my baby never hurt no one!" after her son robs someone. Dog owners sez "my dog would never bite anyone"....1 point

Oh no. These would get him expelled for bringing a weapon to school. He'd better not draw any pictures of guns to go with the printed ammo. Then it's probably a GFSZA violation.1 point

Nope. I reload and rack with the gun on target the whole time. It's a lot quicker once you get the hang of it. Imagine, if you will, you have gone dry. Your non firing hand retrieves your spare mag as you simultaneously release the empty. The pistol is still extended and on target. As you bring your mag up with your left hand you slightly tilt the butt of the pistol to accept the mag. Once in, immediately tilt the pistol back in the other direction to present the slide to your left hand, pull back slightly and reacquire your grip. I used to use the slide release until I was forced to do it the other way in training. It is much quicker.1 point

The absolute best target ammo is the kind not for sale to the public. Roll your own! Caster Munitions produces top shelf quality ammunition.1 point

LOL, forgive my airheadedness. BTW, several have mentioned muzzle brakes. While they do tame recoil, be aware that some will make the gun SIGNIFICANTLY louder.1 point

And even better news. I am selling my Ruger to a family friend tomorrow for nearly all that I paid for it, so that recoups a lot of what I paid for the Glock. This is a great weekend! I have to change my Avatar now (...done)1 point

Passed! 100 on written, 90 on shooting. I was nervous about taking the class with my Ruger, since I have been shooting low and left. Not the gun's fault - another guy shot it for me and he had a nice, tight center group. Anyway - I bought a Glock 19 Gen 4 and didn't shoot it at all until class. I like the Glock. It shoots better for me than the Ruger SR9c - which is still a GREAT gun! I am just happy I passed.1 point

My crossbreed super tuck with full size sigs is very comfortable. I carry it in the 4 to 5 o'clock position. However I don't carry a rear wallet, but rather a money clip in the front. I am a big ole boy, don't know if the extra stuffing helps too.1 point

You handled it much better than I would have. I'd have told him that I didn't know him and that whatever I was doing was none of his business and walked away. Had he followed me and continued his tirade I would have told him that if he didn't shut up and stop scaring my children that I would call the police and press charges against him for harassment.1 point
