  1.   Yes, it really is dangerous.  There seems to be a growing trend on the right with this sort of conspiratorial worldview and it's very detrimental to freedom loving people in this country.  First, it feeds into the rhetoric of the left that portrays the right, especially gun owners, as dangerous and lacking rational thought.  Second, it will be a matter of time before one of these people are crazy enough and pissed off enough to pull another Timothy McVeigh.  What's even more concerning to me is that some of the people I know who unquestioningly buy into this crap should be smart enough to know better.

  6. A guy stuck his head into a barber shop and asked, 'How long before I can get a haircut?' The barber looked around the shop full of customers and said, 'About 2 hours.' The guy left. A few days later, the same guy stuck his head in the door and asked, 'How long before I can get a haircut?' The barber looked around at the shop and said, 'About 3 hours.' The guy left. A week later, the same guy stuck his head in the shop and asked, 'How long before I can get a haircut. The barber looked around the shop and said, 'About an hour and a half.' The guy left. The barber turned to his friend and said, 'Hey, Bob, do me a favor. Follow that guy and see where he goes. He keeps asking how long he has to wait for a haircut, but then he doesn't come back.' A little while later, Bob returned to the shop, laughing hysterically. The barber asked, 'So, where does that guy go when he leaves?' Bob looked up, wiped the tears from his eyes and said, 'Your house!'

  9.     Do not do this. Never use load data for one powder when using a different powder no matter where the fall in the chart.   The powders in the chart are not equally spaced. Just because two powders are next to each other does not mean that they are similar. It just means they are closer to each other than the rest of the powders. There could be huge differences between two powders that are next to each other and those differences could result in injury or death.   Find data for the powder you are using. There is plenty of resources for using Bullseye so there is no reason to use any other data.   Bearing surface and case capacity both have affects on pressure. Heavier bullets tend to have longer bearing surfaces as well as seat deeper in the cases and these increase pressures. This is why heavier bulelts tend to have a smaller charge compared to lighter bullets. Seating depth affects case capacity and pressures. You can blow a gun up using the minimum charge if you seat a bullet deep enough. This is why they ALWAYS list the OAL of the loaded cartridge.   Dolomite

Or how he has a social security number from a State in which he has never been a legal resident of ... Way too many unanswered questions about this guy that no-one in the media seems to care about, I wouldn't even hire him to babysit my kids with a background check containing so many red-flags let alone entrust all of our nations most secret secrets to him *sigh* wtf America? I hope that all those conservatives that stayed home on election day because they just "didn't like Romney"  are happy now.  He wasn't my first choice either, but I did at least understand the importance of removing Obama from office at all costs, then regrouping in 2016.  The Left has decided they are an unstoppable machine.  People......the midterm elections are gonna mean the life or death of America as we know it.

  17. If George Zimmerman had any hand to hand skills he probably would not be in the situation he is presently in......   If your ONLY answer to a problem is to be able to pull a gun I hope you never have a problem when you are somewhere that you are not armed.   At the same time, at arms length, going for the gun BEFORE you have created space or controlled the opponents limb closest to the weapon you are probably going to end up in a weapon retention/disarm situation....anyone remember Julie Jacks?   The better skilled you are...the better skilled you are ...period. If you have good guns skills AND good hand skills then you are far better off than if you JUST have good gun skills.  But you do not have to be a 10th degree blackbelt super ninja to be functional . You just need to know some basics and then apply it with extreme violence.  Learn 3 basic strikes, a default head cover (to keep from getting knocked out) proper body mechanics (to make it less likely to get knocked down) and you are well on your way to handling most REALISTIC street situations that are not "mutually agreed upon combat". Combine those with accessing your gun (or knife)  while under attack and you'll be you'll be far and away ahead of most folks.

  21. I have supported them all along but this will make some feel better.... Posted on Facebook roughly 30mins ago   "REGARDING LEO SALES March 1st, 2013 Back in 1990, when I was deployed in Desert Shield and Desert Storm as a Marine grunt, some companies prioritized me items for my M16 for shipping that I purchased with my own funds. After getting out and forming Magpul in 1999, I established the same priority policy for Military and Law Enforcement, due to the requirements of their profession. The same policy has been in place for 13 years now and has never been an issue until a few days ago. I do not support the idea that individual police officers should be punished for the actions of their elected officials. That said, I understand the concerns that some have with Law Enforcement officers getting special treatment while at the same time denouncing second amendment rights to another citizen in the same state.  With the fight in Colorado right now we do not have time to implement a new program, so I have suspended all LE sales to ban states until we can implement a system wherein any Law Enforcement Officer buying for duty use will have to promise to uphold their oath to the US Constitution - specifically the second and fourteenth amendments - as it applies to all citizens. 24. first off someone needs to explain to me the difference between republicans and democrats.  Near as I can tell they are about as different as a Chevy and a Ford.   GOP members are no more turncoats than Dem's.   Believing there is actually a difference is the first farce people need to get past.   I am not registering much of anything.  Problem solved.

  29.   They'll fix the mass exodus revenue losses by simply raising taxes. That will solve all of their issues!    Sort of like that area in California that tried to get everyone in an electric car, so their gas tax revenue dropped by over 60%, they double the gas tax and it's still bringing in 10% less revenue so now they are about to implement a consumption tax on all vehicles camouflaged as some "city improvement" fee

  35. I def. need to put some film over it. To be honest I forgot. I have an old shower door i may try to use as a lid. It would be awesome to have some glass cases. I tried pests pellets ad even bought the plastic trays with domes. But I got a bag of pro mix for $8 and the egg cartons were free. Besides ....Im the kind of idiot who will spend $100 to build something I could have bought for $10. But I did alright this time. I only had to buy the lights, promix, and 1x10s. Everything else I had lying around. I have about $100 in everything. Real warming pads and the peats pellets and the domes would have cost more. Considering i have 200 plants in there and actually have room for about 100 more. I'm pretty happy with it.

  36.   I disagree with this 100%. The TSA is completely unnecessary. The only reason terrorists hijack planes is because they know that the passengers have been stripped of their ability to fight back. Change that, and we can get rid of the blue shirts.

  37. Here it is....I just wrapped some sturofoam insulation board in aluminum foil and taped it with reflectibe tape Next I taped down the rope lights. That is a 24ft rope light. The bed is 21"x48". The runs are about 3-1/2" apart. I also made little sides out of the insulation. and wrapped them in the tape. I don't have a picture of them completely wrapped in the tape but they are. The insulation is 1/4" thick so I had to stack up 3 pieces to get the sides high enough to clear the light. I also made a few little support pieces and taped them down between the runs of lights to support the sheetmetal. Also not pictured but you get the idea. Next I made a 2x4 frame with a 1/4" plywood top. I laid the contraption on top. I spray painted the bottom of the sheet metal black to help with heat absorption. Then I put the sheet metal down over it. Then I screwed through the sheet metal all the way into the wood to hold it all together. I marked and predrilled the holes through the sheet metal so not to hit the light. Next I put 1x10 boards all the way around. I had to use some old tent poles to set the lights on. Turns out 4ft flourescents aren't 4ft. But they are about 3" above the tops of the egg crates. Sorry for the lack of good pics. I wasn't thinking about a how to when i built it. I got the idea of using a rope light on the internet. Pretty much everything else I came up with. The soil temp is about 73 in the middle and about 68 at the ends. Not too bad. Plants pictured: 1st row: left-cabbage, right-broccoli 2nd row: left-bell peppers, right-jalapeno peppers 3rd row: left & right both tomatoes 4th row: left-onions, right-cauliflower.

  39. TMF,   I disagree that people some of the founded were slave owners that we should toss out the protections in the constitution.  Just as I'm very sure that your average progressive would still fight for democracy even though the Greeks were also slave owners ;)   I do have a couple of fundamental issues with the constitution, first I think our founding fathers placed too much faith in the good nature of man.  They should have included a 'fourth' branch of government who were completely separate watchers of the government with the power to charge and bring to trial employees and members of the government who violated the law or their oath.  A branch completely unbeholden to anybody in elected office, and prohibited for life from making a single penny off of the government.   Second, I have a moral question about how previous generations can bind yet unborn generations to laws and restrictions on liberty and give them no say in the matter.  All other contracts in this country have an expiration date, except the laws of the land, we're still stuck with a constitution voted on by a small fraction of the population in 1870, which removed a number of freedoms and liberties from the previous constitution, yet somehow I'm bound by these terms and conditions imposed by 5 or 6 generations ago?  How is that moral?   Or better yet, what my grandparents and parents generation are doing to my child's future by selling her into slavery to pay for their retirement and healthcare.  It's somehow her fault they got taken in a government sponsored ponzi scheme, so they're going to make her give up her liberty and future prospects to pay for her mistakes?  How on earth can that be moral?   The real problem in this country?  Nobody is willing to face facts that the government IS the problem,

  43. I'll commission my own study: According to my study, 9 out of 10 liberals who ran their mouth about stuff they know nothing about were punched in the face for saying stupid things. The obvious solution to the problem is to limit the 1st Amendment rights of people for their own protection and to reduce the number of violent assaults, which have become a health concern.

  46. With a lot of the canned and dry goods, if store bought and not home canned, you can donate it to different places if the expiration hasn't passed.   There's a charity closet in Columbia that my wife takes our canned goods to when they start to near the expiration.  Obviously the perfect solution would be to eat it all before it expires, but there's two of us and we pack for 4-6 plus the dog. They're happy to have it all as long as it isn't expired.  I think the donation might be tax deductible too.  The wife handles the details, so I'm not sure where it is or anything.   - Bob
