  1. The problem with spying on everybody is that all statists, regardless of political stripe like it.  What they have to do is to keep it quiet.  Snowden messed that up; and with the light shinin in, the rats are running.  That is why some Democrats are aghast at this reprehensible behavior.   Most everybody understands the Fourth Amendment.  You cant square what's goin on with PRISM phone and email surveillence monkeybusiness with the Fourth Amendment, and most everyone understands that.  You simply are not "safe in your person, papers, ect..." with this program lookin at your phone calls and e-mails without a warrant to do so.  That's the problem.   Some Democrats and Statist Republicans are makin up fanciful tales about how we are somehow "safer" because they are listening.  I say "baloney"; and i believe lots of other folks are sayin that too.   The fact is that anyone who backs this sort of stuff is lookin more and more like "Uncle Joe Stalin" and less and less like "Uncle Sam"; and most people understand that (...with the exception of the "low information" folks and the political hacks...).  Popular political opinion is turnin against these clowns, and it well should.    I remember when the Democrats were all for the First and Fourth Amendment. That's the basis of the "hippie revolution" and protests that changed the american landscape.  I think it is hilarious that the same nasty haired, smelly, long haired, mangy questioners of the immutable laws have now got a haircut, got elected to government office (...or worse, became bureaucrats...), stole a bunch of money, gave up their "ideals" (..assumin they had some...), and then became what they professed to hate some 40 or 50 years ago.     The time of the democrats bein able to stand up with the mantle of indignation wrapped around themselves sayin that "bush is a facist and is spyin on us" is over.  They've got caught with their hand in the cookie jar. The same goes for the stinkin republican jackasses like Linsey Graham and John McCain.   The "how can we fool 'em today" and the "Sam the Eagle" protecting us delightful rustics by spyin on us is back-firing bigtime.   I say let the voters identify the guilty and eliminate them.  The only thing that the defenders of thes programs are doin is that they are protecting their stinkin jobs.  You simply cannot "trust" the untrustworthy to do the right thing and keep you safe.  You certainly cannot trust the untrustworthy not to use highly sensitive data that should be protected by the Fourth Amendment from being used to punish your real and imagined political enemies ALA the IRS and NSA messes.  I think more and more folks are wakin up to that fact.   leroy

  2. Every Marine a Rifleman.   My Marine son Matt has just been selected for Gunnery Sergeant!   Well earned and overdue, in my opinion.   He and his wife are expecting shortly, as well.   Oooo-Rah! Semper Fi! Glory Hallelujah!

  3. I can tell you one thing, you need to call and ask which documents that you'll need to bring. Then bring everything else. They are a pain in the *** when it comes to the documents. I would bring SS card, birth certificate, and at least a couple documents with your new address. I can't tell you how many people I know who've stood in line for a couple hours, only to be told to come back with the proper documentation.

  5. Dave, there's no "fact" to support any type of profiling. Racial, or otherwise. You're wrong, though I suspect you'll never succumb to the fact. I know facts aren't your strong suit, since yet again you've danced around showing any evidence that there was ANY FORM of profiling, that you presented as "fact". It's not anyone else's job to prove anything except you. You presented the profiling as fact, yet there is no evidence to support the claim, quite the contrary actually, you're grasping at straws. Jesus riding a donkey man, you're unreal. You guys can have this guy, ignore list here he comes. I can't stand the mindf%ck that is DaveS any longer

  7. Unless Zimmerman has admitted to profiling, or someone can read his mind, Im calling bullshit on this being factual. What level of stupid is involved to come up with such garbage?

  8. This is why we need to bring back the duel.  If the two gentlemen would have faced off and had a duel the world would have at least one less idiot to deal with this morning.

  9. "The Mogwai" may look like a small furry dog, but in actuality is a very close relative of the Ewoks from the Forest Moon of Endor in the Star Wars movies.   And, "Black Rifle" is an Ancient Heirloom of the Clan of Graycrait of the Village of Clark, in the Province of Tenn-ess-ee, near the border of the fearsome Ken-Tucks.   Though small in size, Ewoks, and their cousins, including "The Mogwai," are very smart and fearsome warriors.   Some believe "The Mogwai" is skilled in 13 forms of martial arts, is adept with almost all varieties of lethal weapons including barking and biting, and possesses great stealth capabilities when necessary. Also, "The Mogwai" reportedly can Kill You with its Mind; or its breath, if it gets close enough; or its tongue, by licking you to death.   All is not as it appears to be; appearances can be misleading, or even fatal for the naive.   Beware!

  10. That's about the luck I have had with keltec pistols. Some good some bad. Guess that can be said with any manufacturer but keltec seems to have a higher margin for error.

  18. Robert; I made assertions that Zman profiled TM by his behaiver ect., go back and read the 911 log. Look at what Zman says about trayvon. I've decided that you or anyone else (outside a moderator maybe) is not going to run me off TGO as so many others have left. Some people on here thrive on throwing people under the bus and can't stand the fact that some opinions differ than others, and don't fit some peoples agendas. It seems that no one can have an opinion WITHOUT PROOF other than a few selected individuals here. I am smart enough not to bring a gun to a fist fight! I'm not the one on trial here!   I'm only trying to have a decent converstion here, but that seems way to hard for some people. If I sided with Zman...ya'll would be fine with that! But no...   Dave S

  20. It was implied. It has always been one of the main "J4T" talking points, that is essentially if T had been a "white" kid, Z wouldn't even had any suspicions about him being up to no good to begin with and thus the whole reason for T dying was because of the color of his skin. Which of course is absolutely absurd but hey what ever it takes to advance the race-bater agenda I guess.

  27. How is caring what the dead man's father thinks about this part of a serious conversation?   I'm sure Martin's father believes his son is a perfect, little, innocent, sweet black boy who was profiled and than tracked down and killed by a "white-Hispanic" vigilante; frankly I wouldn't really expect any father to think anything else.   But so what?   What does Martin's father's beliefs or feelings matter to Zimmerman's guild or innocence?  I submit it makes ZERO difference and should make ZERO difference.   Moreover, you've seem to make a habit of ignoring information that doesn't support your biased opinion (nothing wrong with bias as we all suffer from it but I think it's important it be recognized for what it is) so when you ignore known facts how can people have a decent discussion?

  29. Actually, that's fact. It's been presented before. Even potential jurors feel the same way when questioned. DS It's a fact he was profiled? Proof Dave, where is it?

  30. Contact is more of a study guide. Be aware it is very technical and can be dry. It has tons of good info but its not one of those things Id be reading at 300 am becauze I had to finish it. I read and study about 1 hour a night on stuff when we don't have company. Whether its primitive survival, blacksmithing or tactics or something else. So I use it as a study guide during that to supplement and refresh what I learned in the Corps. While I enjoyed all 3 of the Enemies triolgy I agree it was dry and fhe author seemed confused. It seemed he would make a big deal about this person or that, then they would fade into the background of the storyline and play no significant role. His second and third books are much better. I enjoyed the 3rd the most of those 3. Sent from the backwoods of Nowhere

  38. Well everyone has made my point for me. I hold no grudge against gov employees. The notion of bonuses suggests doing something above and beyond or assisting an organization in achieving its goals. If the IRSs goals were to harass groups trying to gain 501c4 status then I suppose bonuses should be made all around. Otherwise don't expect extra money for doing your job. And most certainly don't expect bonuses when you work in a cost center and not a profit center. By definition all of government is a cost center. The bet you can hope to do in terms of costs savings as a .gov employee is to come in under budget and spend budgets wisely. There is no value creation in government. By definition there can't be since government exists only by obtaining money from the citizenry through taxes. And dont mistake my comments / Much of what government does is helpful and necessary - I.e. infrastructure, police, fire, etc.
