Do you really think that, as a nation, we have generations left? With the debt piling up so rapidly, a POTUS openly flouting the law, a DOJ that refuses to investigate criminal activities committed by their friends and fellow travelers, an IRS that has become the administrations' personal attack dog... Bless your optimism. While I'm sure there will be a federal gov't in two generations, I have no hopes that any of us would recognize what will become of our nation.4 points

Just picked this up a few minutes ago. Its a DPMS AP4 AR15. I won it at the NRA banquet Sat night.3 points

This is so bizarre that I don't even know what to say. "A suspended seventh-grade student in Virginia Beach, Va., could be expelled for the rest of the school year for shooting an airsoft gun with a friend in his yard as they waited for the bus to come..." LINK: http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/09/23/suspended-student-may-be-expelled-for-rest-of-the-year-for-playing-with-toy-gunin-his-own-yard/ We used to take toy guns to school...hell, we used to take REAL guns to school and no one ever got shot...we played cowboys and indians and secret agent man and 007 and still managed to learn that 2 + 2 = 4 EVERY TIME. Folks, if you have children or grandchildren in the public schools, do whatever you have to do and get them the hell out of there. If there is any hope for the future of this country it rests with the children alive right now but with the kind of nonsense and outright ANTI-AMERICAN garbage they are being inundated with there is simply no chance that this country can recover from its demise.3 points

Close. We made it to Vegas (by way of needles, CA) at 1:30am EST. We ended up with a total of 2,076 miles in 45.5 hours. I will add a list of items i have learned and saw during this trip. Had quite a few epiphanies regarding my life and life in general. Lot of time for thought on a cruiser bike with no radio or squat over the course of this trip. Thanks for all the well wishes and concern. I wanted to share this with the gun guys as well as the bike guys, especially since you folks are an entertaining group... :)3 points

Well, I almost sharted my britches when I pulled up the game cam pics today at work. This may not be a monster to some of you guys, but I've never killed anything this big and it's HUGE to me. Hope y'all enjoy it and hope me or my buddy, don't care which one, kills it! If someone did that to me I would either get them a different server, allow them the chance to start over or ask them to leave. Being a server doesn't make you a lower order that whores themselves for tips. You don't lose your self respect simply because a person gets to use their discretion on how much they think you earned. This scenario paints a picture of the patron using the money as a way to control the behavior and aspirations of a servant. That shows low character on the part of the person offering. I wouldn't care if the potential tip was $10 or $1,000; my first instinct would be to tell them to get f**ked.2 points

OK, here's another. A man died and went to heaven. As he stood in front of St. Peter at the Pearly Gates, he saw a huge wall of clocks behind him. He asked, “What are all those clocks?†St. Peter answered, “Those are Lie-Clocks. Everyone on Earth has a Lie-Clock. Every time you lie the hands on your clock will move.†“Oh,†said the man, “whose clock is that?†“That’s Mother Teresa’s. The hands have never moved, indicating that she never told a lie.†“Incredible,†said the man. “That’s Abraham Lincoln’s clock. The hands have moved twice, telling us that Abe told only two lies in his entire life,†St. Peter informed him. “Where’s Obama’s clock?†“His clock is in Jesus’s office. He’s using it as a ceiling fan.â€2 points

So was the surprise at Dick's finding a decent price on something, or finding someone who knew how to work the gun counter?2 points

Hard to tell, G. Obama is dishonest to the core. Would he do some play acting to gain political power? Doesn't matter so much to me. He's way past my line of firing for cause. His ego and incompetence kinda mask some of his other character flaws.2 points

So, who's tracking this with me...Walt is all weepy after Junior's outrage, calls the DEA, leaves that phone off the hook for them to trace, sees the TV spot with Gray Matter, gets all mad, and decides not to turn himself in after all? Is that what you guys got out of that?2 points

TV cop shows have been preparing us for this all along. They give the impression that this is just good police work. After this is installed you can be located and identified anywhere there is video cam (traffic cams, ATMs, etc. The excuse is that this helps them get "Bad Guys" but they will be determining who the Bad Guys are. (Maybe wrong political affiliation, wrong religion or wrong color?) I'm for helping the LEAs as much as the next guy, but this is getting into "Big Brother!"2 points

Nice deer Ruger. Looks to be about a 3.5 year old 8 point. At 3.5 years old, deer display about 75% of full antler potential. So if he gives you the slip this year, next year he will have more girth and maybe slightly wider/taller antlers.1 point

Finally got to watch the episode. Todd doesn't surprise me, he always was a psychopath. That was settled when he killed the kid. The subdued slow burning intensity of the last couple of episodes ism building up to one hell of an explosive ending. I am both anxiously awaiting the finale and dreading it.1 point

That's a good deer! Def a shooter for me down here. Heck, last day of season in Illinois it's also a shooter :-) I hope you get on him opening day before he wanders into someone else's arrow! Two years in a row I've been beat by a neighbor that does nothing but reap the rewards of my hard work lol1 point

This school is over reaching. They have no right to punish this boy for what he was doing in his own yard. Zero Tolerance has been out of control from the start, 16 years ago my 7 year old nephew was threatened with a year suspension for forgetting his cub-scout pocket knife in his backpack and taking it to school. Yet my cousin gets a concussion from having her head slammed in to a locker and her attacker gets a two day suspension.1 point

Why make a big deal of it? Someone gave their opinion on someone else's post and said something foolish based on their ignorance of the individual. Ain't the first time, and won't be the last. I think TMF can handle himself and doesn't need moderator intervention.1 point

The Lee Safety scale works and is cheap. I used one for the first couple of years I reloaded. Be warned though that any balance beam scale is going to be a lot slower than an electronic. When I went from balance beam to electronic I couldn't believe the difference in time it saved.1 point

Don't forget that he's been groomed from an early age to run for president. It wouldn't surprise me at all that he spent 25 years in a church just going with the flow for appearances.1 point

Oh, I see yall have not heard the good news that will befall all off these people. Obamacare will eliminate the 40 hour week for many Americans. That person we all love dearly has pointed out that this will be a Godsend and allow them to, I'll quote her here, "Follow their passions" since they will be afforded much more personal time by Obamacare. http://www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-TV/2013/09/22/Pelosi-Obama-is-Liberation-From-40-Hour-Work-Week1 point

".38 Military & Police (Postwar) -- "Pre-Model 10" Caliber: .38 S&W Special. Double-action revolver built on the square butt K frame with five screws. A continuation of the previous model without the "V" serial prefix or the lanyard ring. A contemporary source indicates the "S" prefix poswar guns began as early as Dec. 27, 1944 at around serial number S769000. Others report Sept. 1945 beginning at S811120. It's reported that at S990184, Apr. 7, 1948, the new short throw hammer action was introduced, becoming the now familiar Model 10 in 1957" -- Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson, 3rd Edition, 20061 point

Look at all those crown jewel stamps... This one is my favorite... they took the time to stamp the pin that you push to release the magazine floor plate... They're everywhere I tell ya Not sure what these marks mean... any ideas? I never realized how hard it is to take a picture of barrel rifling... this one is the best picture I could get after about 50 tries... believe me, the barrel is brighter and shinier than this picture... Also, I ordered a front post protector because right now the front post keeps falling out Now all I need is a sling and bayonet....1 point

In my opinion, common sense people know the concept of self defense. They understand that the police can't be everywhere. They know that almost all criminals are illegally armed and dangerous. I think with the vast number of people that recently joined the ranks of gun ownership, that a large part of these are also part of the common sense American group. Colorado is a prime example. I remember reading several months ago an article that said gun sales in Colorado were at an all time high and many buyers were first time gun purchasers. Now, as we all know two senators were fired from their jobs by these same people. This also highlights the lack of common sense of any politician with a "D" beside their name. Today I read that W. Virginia Senator Manchin has remained silent even after the shootings at the navel yard. He was a huge gun control voice just a few months ago. He also knows that his constituents are strong gun supporters. I think maybe the Co. Recall sent a message to at least this one senator and hopefully others too.1 point

The good news... he's cooking his own goose, and taking a bunch of his libtard friends along for the ride. His ego is letting him make a huge mistake with the gun control tirade. The polls don't support it, but he keeps going. Let him say all the stupid #### he can muster. If there's ever gonna be another purge like '94, he's doing exactly what I want him to do. BTW... there's no question in the minds of my 400+ facebook friends where I stand, and a whole lot of them are Libs.1 point

Shooting is my favorite pasttime. I'd shoot everyday if money and time allowed. If they restricted hours to something reasonable, like the TWRA ranges do, I'd be glad to have a shooting range 100 yds from my house. A free membership to come shoot would go a long ways toward keeping me from complaining too.1 point

Been posted for some time. Personaly don't see the draw, my sister makes better biscuits and the rest of the food is on par with a Cracker Barrel IMO. It's kind of cool to bring out of state visitors too, but even then there are better places. Places that also aren't posted. It seems that the new owners have really let the place go from its past, what was once a nice downhome eatery is now basically a tourist trap.1 point

I have heard other companies are starting to do this as well, especially after the storms a couple of years ago. They shelled out untold millions for new roofs. Have not heard from my provider yet, so I don't know what their policy is. Personally, I think it's a crock. With auto insurance you are paid the replacement cost of your vehicle, so if they have to replace a 5 year old car it is assumed you can find the same make, model and year as that value. You can't go out and find a used roof to throw up on your house. Say you're 12 years into some 25 year shingles and disaster strikes. Now you're going to get only 50% of the replacement cost of new materials, and you HAVE to get a new roof, an expediture you had not planned on for another 12 or 13 years. It's a rip, IHMO.1 point

Use a chisel. Tear the can off or apart until you can see the main seal ring or surface. Take a chisel and use a dead blow and unscrew it by making the chiesel bite the surface and unscrew it. Btw, hand tight is sufficent on oil filters. No need for the wrench turn. And I'd be contacting the shop who did the work and letting them know I was pissed. Tapatalk ate my spelling.1 point

I realize that in your own mind, you think you are helping the cause of gun owners. With the attitude you've displayed in this thread, coupled with you wearing a firearm for everyone to see, is not. I don't care how many people you pizz off, or convert to gun owners, or whatever. The part that bothers me is that you are casting a negative image over ALL gun owners, which I am one. When I was a kid at 4-H camp, someone took a dump in the pool. Not only did he get thrown out of the pool, everyone there got thrown out of the pool. You, sir, are pooping in the pool.1 point

I own one of the WFT from little crow, it has been the best investment I've gone for when it comes to .223. I have the lee, and its great for small amounts, but got to a point that I hated trimming brass. The WFT from crow is sweet! Super fast, was easy to adjust, and is dead nuts on every time. My trimming volume has increase more and I don't mind doing it now. If we were closer I'd let you give it a run and compare both it and the lee.1 point

Eh... I mean, to be fair they could have just as easily posted a headline saying that Obama is a bi-sexual wrestler. I didn't see any hard facts in either of those articles. Just accusations. Is it plausible? Well, duh. But it's also plausible that it's a smear campaign because they're not happy with the Obama Administration. And I'm not even a fan-boy.1 point

This my friends is customer service and standing behind your product. I got my hawk back from the shop today, and I was absolutely stunned. The Kestrel looks brand spankin' new. The cost? Free. I wish I would have taken some before pics to show you guys. They are a bit pricey, but in my opinion, you get what you pay for and these are well worth it. This won't be my last RMJ hawk as I gotta get me some Berserker love.1 point

If he is put to death he will be viewed as a martyr by other muslims. His death will serve to inspire others to become martyrs. If they do it there should be no fan fair or even a press release stating he was executed. If they need to make a statement regarding his death it should read "Nidal Hisan, the Fort Hood shooter, died alone in his cell on Sunday. His death was apparently caused from him choking on the ham sandwich he requested for lunch after attending Christian church services. He will be cremated in the following weeks after an autopsy of his body." This should hopefully scare any other Muslim considering doing the same thing.1 point
