It's the same ole sh!t anytime one of these bastards gets what coming to him.  I have never heard a family go on tv and say, "Yep, he was a piece of shit.  Always did think he was a worthless asshole.  He deserved to get shot."    Frankly, I think the shooter did society a great service.  I wish more of these thugs would get ventilated at a young age.  Why should we wait until they become "hardened criminals?"

I tend to disagree with open carry myself only because you are increasing the chance of creating this type of situation as previously stated. Hate to be judgemental but I feel like most of the people that are open carrying do so because they WANT the attention. That, IMHO, is the wrong reason to carry a firearm... That is the law here. As much as I hate to say it, in this state it is a priviledge to carry a firearm and that priviledge can be taken away.   Also, anyone carrying a firearm in this state is breaking the law. That includes those with a HCP, LE officers, literally anyone and everyone. It is only after an investigation that it can be determined that a person has a defense to breaking the law. If an officer sees anyone with a gun they have probable cause to believe a crime is being committed and can investigate. Once he sees the person has a valid HCP, which is a defense, the person cannot be charged.   Until the officer verifies a person has a valid defense he has no clue whether the person has a defense to breaking the law and can assume the person is breaking the law. It is just the way the law is written. It is written so that anyone with a firearm is breaking the law but the defenses keep anyone from being arrested.

I would say to all of those who think the DHS raid on counterfeit stuff is ok in the kindest possible way; just think about this a bit....      Number one; "... where is the "probable cause" and the warrant for this search?.... .  Number two;.... just why does DHS have jurisdiction in this particular case?...  Number three;... Just what is the justification for a full armed "commando assault" (...if it, indeed, was an armed assault...) on this business?... Number 4; suppose for a minute or two that you are a law abiding business man that has through no fault of your own, unknowingly bought some contraband or counterfeit merchandise.... What about your door; does it need kickin down too?...   Folks, this stuff aint ok; and no amount of lipstick smeared on this pig by the appologizers for government and those citizens who dont like counterfeit gucci bags will make it ok... Folks need to see to it that this stuff is handled thru the courts and not thru the antics of the apparatchiks of the "ABC" bureaus of government... If these guys can kick the "might-be counterfeiter's" doors in; they can kick yours in too...   West Wind Mike is exactly right about this... It's a civil issue and should be handled in the civil courts... I only went through SA a few times on my way to other parts of Africa. I would usually stay a few days when I did go through there though. I never met a White South African that I didn't like, I never met a Black South African that I can recall. All the Blacks I met were always from other countries and were all nice people. I lived in Zambia close to the boarder of the DRC and would go across the boarder frequently to Lubumbashi DRC. The Chinese are everywhere in DRC building roads and opening mines. While living in Zambia I got to know a White Zambian of Greek desent that is a very prominent business owner there. He was telling me about how when things went sideways in DRC that White mercinaries were sent in to rescue any Whites that they could with orders to shoot anything that was Black. And the did. The Whites in Africa are the toughest people I have ever met in my life. If the Blacks in SA start a race war they may bite off more than they can chew. I don't know how many Whites there are left in SA because they were leaving in droves when I was last there 5 years ago.

I guess I will continue to walk for exercise in my driveway like I have been doing. In fact I need to head on out there now since it has warmed up some.   A little different after hearing his side of the story.   Agreed showing DL might have prevented this from going further but a DL is not required for a walk in the park. DL is for operating a vehicle. Does GA law require a picture id to be carried and presented along with their hcp?    Looks like some lessons learned all around but I do not want to go through something like this so I stick to CC and keep my id, hcp on me at all times. in 11 years of carrying I have never been asked for my hcp or even had an opportunity to present it to an officer and hope it stays that way. I'll just buy my own AR lower with my money and save a lot of headache.   I see no need to lock this thread, it seems to be civil and constructive so far. I am sure GA carry related topics concern some TGO members that live close to the border or travel to GA on a regular basis.   Just my 2 cents, I'm going out in the driveway to get some exercise now.

Didn't see this posted. Appears that a lot of people are without money on their cards. This scenario nationwide has always been a concern of mine as far as SHTF. I'm not making light of the people who really deserve the help, but to the others that live off of us because they don't want to work, I say this "I work for everything I have and have ever had, and there have been many times that I didn't have much to eat, or any money. Saw a nice buck chasing a doe right before dark yesterday. I was driving home and stopped on the shoulder to watch them running around a pasture. Yup.

Let us know. I did late morning hunts on Tues and Thursday this week and didn't see any Deer.   Tuesday I did see increased Scrapes.  This morning the Scrapes still had leaves on them from the storm wednesday night. We'll see if they open back up.   Sunday afternoon I had a Buck run in to a Can Doe Bleat and Grunt Tube so I thought I would be seeing more action this week. Maybe afternoons are better than late morning, or just luck of the draw.

You will not get Constitutional Carry in Tennessee until the current Republican leadership finds somewhere else to be.  The Progressive triad that is Haslam, Harwell and Ramsey deem ANY firearm related issue as bad for the business of garnering large donations from Big Business and the Chamber, (including Farm Bureau and AGC) by doing their will.  It is a power and control thing on their part, the more they can control us, the more they can collect, the more power they can hold.

So the point of this thread is to rail against something DHS may or may not have done?  Simply you don't trust them and you bet they went in like the raid at Waco?  Seriously?   It's empire building when an agency goes after the people they're supposed to be going after?   I hope they keep on keeping on with the raids against counterfeiters and counterfeit importers.  I doubt you'd be happy if you had counterfeit parts or tires on that nice truck in your avatar.  How about that ripped off MS2 sling?  Those are people stealing from an American company...and stealing from you when you bought the fake sling.

I bought a Magpul MS2 sling that was counterfeit.  The only way I could tell was the package had a lot of misspelled words.  And when I can find a misspelled word, the spelling must be real bad.      I agree the store needed to go but I would bet that DHS went in like the raid in Waco, Tx.  

Folks; i wouldnt read too much into this Virginia thing.... Virginia isnt really representative of the whole country... Too many concentrations of bureaucrats and african americans in several places (.... demographics; white-65%, black-19%, hispanic-8%....)... Virginia simply aint the norm... The state house lower chamber is about 75/25 republican/democrat, and the upper chamber is 50/50 republican/democrat...     Sit aside what the "republican machine" did or didnt do a minute and think about this for a while:.... The greatest democrats of 'em (...the clintons...) politiced for McAuliffe; along with obama.... The democrats outspent the republicans 3 to one in general help and about 9 to one with media advertizing; yet McAuliffe won by a hair... If i wuz the democrats i would be real afraid of what that really means....  The fact is that virginia is, at best, a purple state turnin blue... There are plenty of washington bureaucrats in northern virginia; and the virginia coast looks a lot more like the interior of south carolina than the old dominion...   That bein said, im no more happier about these half-wit b*****ds on both sides of the political spectrum than anyone else... The republican establishment is makin a big mistake by declaring war on the populist movement... They will ultimately morph into the democrat party (...i think...) and a new, conservative party will take their place... I say, it cant happen too soon... Let the virginians have a son of satan like McAuliffe, they will get tired of him pretty quick....   The fact is that neither political party is doin very well... Probably because GIFs are evil, especially if they are black and have pistol grips or large "clips". :taunt: Seriously, I don't know why. Seems to work OK when a gif is posted in the body of a message. Probably has something to do with parameters in the IPBoard software, or if you resized the GIF, or if the IPBoard forced a resize when you uploaded it. Animated GIFs and resizing do not play well together. I'm sure David will be able to answer this.
